My husband and I both had a wonderful time. Colin is such a nice guy who is very familiar with New Zealand. We will likely return for another one of his tours. Accommodation’s were great. Food was excellent. Organization and communication was quite clear.
Colin was extremely helpful in putting together a custom 13-day, self-guided tour of both islands for us. The included guidebook had details on where to start, things to see including the Glow Worm Caves and Hobbiton, places to eat, and where each day's ride would end. The roads selected included lots of hairpins, sweepers, and amazing view after amazing view. We've moto-toured many countries and New Zealand and Pohutukawa Tours are among the very best.
Colin put together a fantastic tour of the north island of New Zealand. It was a great combination of sweepers, rolling hills, tight twisties, and breathtaking scenery. It was great to have all the hotels, bike rental, and side trips planned by someone who has done it before. Colin was very knowledgeable and made the trip special. Highly recommended!
My husband and I completed a fantastic 8-day self guided tour through parts of Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. The team at Pohutukawa Motorcycle Tours did a great job of setting up this tour and the attention to detail allowed us to relax and enjoy the ride. Forest fires required some significant changes during the tour and Colin rerouted us and arranged alternative accommodation so that we were not impacted or inconvenienced at all. I would highly recommend Pohutukawa Motorcycle Tours to anyone looking for a great experience. Food and accommodation was excellent.
What a terrible company.Motorcycle tour of New Zealand.No hotel booked or booked for the wrong year.We were lucky to find accommodation ourselves. We paid for all our accommodation up front. However some of the hotels wanted us to pay. They tried to phone the company in Florida but no answer. Our insurance type was changed from full comprehensive to having to pay $2500 up front. The whole holiday was an absolute disaster.1 if you knew anything about rental you would know that when you purchase full comprehensive insurance you do not have to leave a damage deposit. You did not tell us up front that we could no longer get full comprehensive insurance.I do not know what reviews you are looking at but they are certainly not mine. You also failed to mention or apologize that you forgot to book hotels, and also book hotels on the wrong date. You and your company are all about one thing the $, nothing else matters. PLEASE READ THE TOTALLY ONE SIDED TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
