I was promised by a store associate that my delivery would arrive today before 3:30 PM, as my building does not allow deliveries after that time. I specifically explained that I am leaving on an overseas trip for 12 months and needed to leave everything installed (ovens, micorwave and refrigerator) and could not wait or reschedule.Despite this assurance, the delivery did not arrive before 3:30 PM and no proper solution was offered. This caused significant inconvenience and unnecessary stress, especially given my travel plans. I am trying to reschedule my flight which will cost me hundereds of dollars. And I still dont know if they can deliver next week. I am very disappointed that a commitment made in the store was not honored.
The home depot is your standard run of the mill large corporation run by money hungry executives who only care about getting more money for their shareholders. The creator of home depot is no friend of the working man and has openly spoken about it on many occasions. Home depot is the walmart of tools and has basically monopolized the market so much they have run almost every competitor out of business, except poor Lowe's who seems to hang in there. Home depot’s customer service is almost non existent and trying to find a employee to assist is almost impossible. They love to hire older employees which is honorable, but kind of useless when it comes to helping, especially with fork lifts and heavy items. Trying to find anyone to help in the wood area is basically a waste of time and of course the fork lifts driver is on a 30 minute break when you need them and of course they are the only ones who can drive it. Home depot has gone full self checkout and they guard theres things like they assume you are a thief , and no one helps you check out or bag. All in all the customer is just cattle to home depot, moving check books to get processed and kicked out the door.
No matter what you order and asked to have delivered it never comes on time and in fact, it is usually pushed back multiple times. They are totally unreliable, they lie, and they have very bad internal coordination relative to their ability to put products in your hands. I have been sucked in three times and that is it. Never again. I've never once had them deliver as promised.
I gave them clear instructions on how to get to my home. Because they failed to listen, I have to wait another two days for my washer and dryer to arrive. Home Depot does not compensate me for the time I had to take off work waiting on them. I would like to say that Eddie was a great salesperson., but the delivery people are shit! I had a tip for them, but they failed to warrant it due to time constraints.
I purchased a Stevens & Son door from Home Depot. To start, I feel the quality is good however I received my door damaged and I am terribly disappointed in the customer service as well as Home Depot. I sent pictures and a video in showing the damage to the door. There is a small plastic clip that apparently holds the doors (double pre-hung french door) in place during transport. When my installer uncrated the door he found the clip was broken and considerable damage to the door. It is February and freezing and I had a hole in my mud room so I had no choice but to install the door as my contractor had remove the previous door and modified the frame for the new door. When I filed a warranty claim with Stevens & Son it was denied. They told me that their warranty does not cover damage. That was it; they absolved themselves of any further accountability nor were willing to help rectify the situation. I then called Home Depot who said I had 58 days to return the door. I said I had to install it. I paid 1500 to install, will have to pay to uninstall and transport to Home Depot due to damage that is no fault of my own. Home Depot said sorry. Then I escalated to management who told me when I installed the damaged door Stevens & Sons voided my warranty. Home Depot then offered me $360 or I can return the door. I would be out more than the door cost me to return it and $360 will not repair this door. Beware; Stevens & Sons requires you to un-crate your door and inspect it and ensure it is 100% operational and defect free BEFORE you install it and within 48 hours of receiving the door. Otherwise, you have no warranty nor path to have your door repaired. You are just stuck with a damaged door that you spent thousands of dollars on.
Never ever get anything delivered from the Home Depot appliance wise. The delivery people have no idea what they are doing. I had the first dishwasher installed incorrectly, and the guy left a big scratch on the top. The men also were very unprofessional, running in and out of my house and screaming at each other and even going to the extent of talking about the next customers medical condition in front of me. The second dishwasher that got delivered also has a big scratch on the top and the guy who installed it disconnected my pipe from my sink while installing the dishwasher drain and I was unaware so I ran the sink and completely flooded the underneath my sink. He just left it completely disconnected. Now I have to deal with an insurance claim regarding mold. Just save yourself the trouble and do NOT order a single thing from this place! You'll never even see me in a Home Depot after this experience.
We were given a business card by Home Depot to contact Marcello Jackson for handyman services. During this snow storm Jan 2026 our heating system went out. We called this guy. He is total fraud. Took $160 and did not do any thing and left with money.His Card
Ordered a Vanity, quartz top, and sink from Home Depot in January 2026. Delivered on time by Estes Express Line with exceptional customer service. (January 22,2026) The pallet was packed with care. I would also like to mention Home Depot Plumbing Specialist, Larry Thompson, who works at Home Depot located in Bangor Maine. Larry is kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in his field. HD is going downhill. They have the worst customer service compared to how it was 25 yrs ago. Back then they actually cared about their customers but today they make such a large profit they do not. In fact, and these are facts because I do not post feelings, they have such a high profit of earnings, they actually allow people to steal and they don't bother prosecuting...show me another store that does that....even the other rating sites show the results as: Depot often rated highly for its extensive inventory but criticized for inconsistent customer service and long wait times. It is a top-tier retail with lousy service. I witnessed this as well just last week. They falsely informed me an order was ready and I scheduled a company to do repairs., only to walk in and learn I had to wait 4 more days which screwed up the entire project as the person I hired was scheduled that day and not available 4 days later. No apology, no explanation and no sense because these were not difficult items to obtain. I retrieved same items from Lowes and canceled Depot order, not that they care because they are all about the greed and care nothing about losing a customer. They do have a large inventory yes, but im finding their overpriced inventory is just not worth it. I think they will not survive years to come, especially if another large company steps in but that will take the work of a millionaire...if I had the funds I would open a home improvement store just to give people better service., while keeping prices lower and not allowing greed to become the mission statement....I said these exact words about Ace Hardware 20 years ago and this exact thing occurred. Home depot really sucks now. Remember decades ago it was always packed but now when you go into a store its empty or very few people...I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business in the years to come...think about that before buying a new fridge there with a 10 yr warranty...Will they be around to service the item....

Extremely poor customer service. Even taking a day off work for a broken item to arrive that the customer service representative never even initiated in their system. When I called back to ask, what happened I wasn’t even in the system.
Just ordered my 3rd Duromax generator because the first 2 was damaged by a forklift. Why do you ship items when damaged? Wasting your money and my time. This has been a PAIN in my side. Terrible shipping service. Promised a discount refund but haven't seen that either yet. I wish I had seen the 1.7 review rating before I started this process. If 3rd unit isn't good I will be purchasing from another company. Being 1 hour from the nearest Home Depot, it seems I'm wasting my time.
Is this one of the stores closing? I hope so. The asset manager a few years ago had me arrested for suspected shoplifting. Funny thing now looking back was the girl at the self checkout rang everything up. The asset manager said they seen a large box under my armpit. Really?? When I asked to see the footage they said no. Then when the city cop put me in the car he said I was being arrested for having a bad attitude. I shit you not that’s what he said. Oh no body cams. Big surprise. Ice thought about suing them many times. The DA ‘s office deferred prosecution indefinitely. Another big surprise. I’m a vet so not everyday is roses and rainbows but I am not a thief! In fact I don’t owe anyone a dime in this life. The asset manager is a criminal in this store. Look up Home Depote scans it will blow your mind what customers say.
I was happy with the associates helping in the store but as I checked out I was treated as if I was a thief. I had maybe 5 items in my cart. My husband and I approached the register and proceeded to self checkout. I noticed 3 associates standing near the register socializing when one of the associates approached us standing only 1 ft away I thought they was going to assist us but they said/did nothing but watched us as we scanned our last item they went back to socialize with the other associates. As I’m watching the associate I see other customers checking out and the one that watched us never gave them a glance.I understand loss prevention but everyone should be monitored not just the ones you feel fits the crime. I have been a customer at this store for years and I feel that:1 - if I was a thief then step up and check me out instead of just watching me.and 2 - monitor all customers Please retrain staff in order for your customers to feel comfortable. I wanted to return all the items I had purchased and went to your competitor. Thank you for your time
Spring Hill #281Unfortunately based on the other reviews I see, I have had a very similar situation. My husband and I had a couple companies come out to do fencing estimates we ultimately landed on home Depot spring Hill store 281 home Depot actually contracts their fencing out through Florida State fence and unfortunately I have had an awful experience from start to finish when Florida State fence came out my husband provided them all the information of what we needed we asked for two estimates one for partial yard and one for the full yard we ended up choosing to go with half of the yard as we just did not have fun to do the full yard at this time and we're hoping to do this in the future when I first received the fencing estimate it actually comes from home Depot the form is not user friendly you can only access it one time and then you have to reach back out for another link to get in with that being said the estimate is only good for 7 days when I first received the estimate I reviewed it and then could not get back into it asked for a new link got back into it and then I had to go on a work trip I did not return back within the 7 days I reached back out and advised if we could receive the estimate again when I received it the wrong estimate was hard coded I reached back out to see if the form could be updated for just the partial part of our yard at this point it was pretty overwhelming dealing with home depot's estimate form this feedback has been provided to home Depot and was supposedly sent to corporate I was told by James that they received these complaints all the time. When the installers came out they did not knock on my door they did not provide the work order introduce themselves they just got straight to work I feel as though my issue would have been resolved had they shown me what they were going to do prior to getting to work outside of that the installers did a wonderful job working in the cold and wind and we're super fast with that being said when I went outside I realized they did not put a gate to my backyard I told them we require a gate in the backyard and we're advised that we had to contact James at Florida State fence when I reached out to James he advised that was not on the estimate and he would have to complete a new work order and it would cost $1200 I advise that I would not be paying that for a gate that should have been installed. My husband contacted James and told him that he felt as though he was being forced to being taken advantage of James stated sorry you feel that way and hung up on my husband He did not reach back out has not contacted me back and that is 100% not an appropriate way to take care of a customer honestly very embarrassing for a company. I called home Depot to advise of the situation and a note was left for Lou who is the manager over the fencing insulation. I had not heard back so I went into the store a couple days later spoke with a separate manager who then put in another note for Lou. I had not heard back again for a couple days so I went into the store and Lou was available we spoke and Lou advised that Florida State fence should be reaching out with a price I advised him I was already given a praise and that I would not be paying $1,200 for a gate that I should have had considering the gate is $300 Lou said that he would get a hold of Florida State fence and get back with me the next day Lou called me and told me that it would be $1,200 price for the gates at this point I feel though I have given home Depot and Florida State fence the appropriate amount of time to make this right my husband is a homeowner and I understand how businesses work and I understand that air has come up issues happen and change of work orders take place at the end of the day a company really should look towards the best interest of the customer. I am extremely dissatisfied with not only home Depot but with Florida State fence and the way that my family was treated. Please do research for any company before they come out to your home as an incredibly hard-working person I would rather put my money towards a company that values their customers.
this, by far is the worst site i have ever used. i had to refresh multiple times and sit and wait. it took approximately 23 minutes to order 1 oil filter. you need to fix something soon, b4 you loose more customers!!!
I ordered an exterior back door online on 1/29 for pickup. My contractor couldn't install so I canceled it on 2/2. It's now 2/17 and I have called 4xs about getting my $390 refunded and I keep getting the runaround. I need my money and customer service is hostile and dismissive. I will never shop there again.
The young lady (Brenda) in the appliance department (Macedonia, Ohio) was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the products. The refrigerator was scheduled to be delivered in 3 days, which was awesome. I was not at the delivery (for my mom) but she said they worked hard at getting it inside (narrow doors on an old house) and did a great job.
