Our first visit

Our first visit, as reviews sounded good. However, very disappointed, menu was not explained, hence paying £46. For 2 turkey lunch, as we did not want 2 courses! Set price of £32. Place was cold, sat with my scarf and coat on all through lunch, took 1 hour to get our lunch, and we were only the 2nd couple in there. Sadly no ambience, and thats a shame. We will not be back. Not value for money.

Wine Cellar Design and Cooling

Wine Cellar Innovations is no longer in business. I would love to help anyone that needs wine racking or cooling. I am a wine cellar design consultant with International Wine Accessories. We are the manufacturer of CellarPro cooling and can help with your wine racking needs. My number is 707-794-8000 ext 211. I would love the opportunity to earn your business.

I purchased wine racks for a full room

I purchased wine racks for a full room. The kits came timely and the instructions were reasonably written. The quality was very poor. Sections did not line up with each other and wood was cracked and knotty. I requested and received several replacements. Customer service was excellent. I would not purchase again.

Extremely disappointing.

I ordered a wine rack back in November of 2021. I was told it wouldn't ship until January 20th, which I understand because of COVID and supply chain issues. A few days after I placed my order I received another email saying they only had 7 of the 10 units I had ordered. So I decided to just get the 7 they had. after hearing nothing, I reached out to them on January 21 to see where my order was. They said it had shipped and been delivered. I never received an email confirming a shipping date or time. I also never received the order ( I have video camera's on my house). They had no idea what happened to my shipment, said they'd send out another shipment and then a few days after that said they didn't have that item. So after waiting for 2 and a half months I got nothing. I was also never approached with options or alternatives. I simply got a refund so I can spend my money elsewhere. Such a disappointment!!

Poor detail and customer service

I ordered a cable wine system from Wine Cellar Innovations back in July. They can't follow their own designs. We ordered two columns of 6 acrylic shelves each, so we got 7, so we have to adjust all the cabling to remove one. We ordered two walls of wine cabling which were supposed to be 13 bottles wide each, they delivered only 12 each. The dimensions are supposed to be 4 inches apart for each bottle except they forgot about the slack which requires it to be 3.75 inches apart, so now these walls are 3 plus inches shorter than they were supposed to be and don't fit well in the custom space we built. Then they only included hooks for either the top or the bottom so I can't even hang these..... they delivered exactly half the hooks! Then try to get them to answer you.... I asked them in several emails as to when the additional hardware and column will arrive and they still haven't answered, only that the order has been placed. I spent close to $10k on this and I can't hang it or finish building it and it doesn't fit right.

High quality, good value product

Really, really pleased with the wine racks we ordered. Assembly was fairly straightforward -- I would 100% recommend a nail gun, it should probably be 'required'. Packaging/delivery was fine, instructions were clear, and the measurements provided on the site were highly accurate to the finished product. Overall good quality and value. Glad we made the purchase. Would recommend.

I recently received two wooden wine…

I recently received two wooden wine racks. The installation instructions were among the worst I have ever seen. It took two of us two hours just to get the first one assembled. Once done, we realized that some of the key parts were different lengths so I can't stand it up. I can only lay it on its' side. I am returning the second unit as it is not worth the money.

Placed order for wine cellar door…

Placed order for wine cellar door on/about 3/26/2021 and told that the order would take 6-8 weeks. I contacted them on 5/16/21 to find out when the door would be shipped. On 5/17/21, I was initially told July. When I asked why isn't it coming in May since I ordered in March I was then told the door would be ready in two weeks. Then I recieved another email stating the door wouldn't be ready until Mid June. I suspect the order was forgotten and instead of being honest, I am getting the run around. I am hoping the door arrives in June and is perfect, so my contractor can finish the work, this door has caused a 3 week delay to my basement renovation, so far. Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. We’ve been waiting for our cellar to be competed for nine months with poor customer service, attention to detail and project management. Do not sign a deal with them if you want your project done on 2021

We had a very satisfying experience with Wine Cellar Innovations. They completed the work on time, and the results are lovely. The installers are plainly A+ carpenters and a pleasure with whom to work.

The wine cellar is amazing

The wine cellar is amazing! The design consultant was incredible, professional and helpful. I had to make a small redesign to it before ordering and it was easy and quick. I had a great experience.

Wire Rack ReviewI recently installed a wire rack system…

I recently installed a wire rack system from WCI. It was easy to install and looks great. WCI support was there to answer my questions and, in my case, send some additional hardware to accommodate my particular installation. All in all, a very good experience and great product at an affordable price. Steve SurberWinchester, VA

Reasonable prices wine racks easy to put together. Used a Brad nailer to assemble. Very satisfied with the purchase I would definitely purchase additional units if I decide to add more space.

The wine cellar is a huge hit!

The wine cellar is a huge hit. We call it the Moose & Goose Wine Cellar combining our Canadian and NH family history. Vince was amazing and helped with every small request or idea I had. From dream to finish, it only took about a month - which blew me away.

Loyal Customer

I have purchased several Designer series racks from WCI over the last 8 years. My favorable experiences have kept me coming back; today I have a total seven 6-foot racks including four 5 column, two 2 column and one 3 column (all ordered separately as my cellar needs and space increased). Every shipment arrived in tact, complete and on a timely basis. As noted in some reviews if one does not have a nail gun drilling pilot holes before nailing is advisable while not very time consuming . All my racks went together easily, albeit getting alignment started takes a bit of effort if working alone; this is the one time an extra pair of hand is helpful! Since my storage area has always been in unfinished areas of my basement I’ve used the basic pine unfinished racks which have proven to be a great value. My only mild complaint is the Designer rack design has been modified slightly since the first four racks I ordered so the facing of my newer racks do not align exactly with the older ones, not a show stopper given they are not in public view.

This is a great resource if you're…

This is a great resource if you're planning anything from a small wine rack under the staircase to a grand 1000+ bottle extravagent wine cellar. They'll assist you in the planning and if anything breaks or otherwise needs replacing during assembly they are wonderful in supplying any needed parts. I do recommend checking the various YouTube videos that are out there on assembly to save yourself time and frustration as the directions often leave out little details that can make your life easier.

Bad Customer Service

I have read the multiple positive reviews and wish I could write the same. My review (at least for now) is on their customer service and responsiveness after paying for the cellar. The pre-sale experience was great (Gabby was great), and I expect once I have woken up from the delivery and assembly nightmare, the cellar will be high quality. I purchased a moderately complicated cellar from WCI (about $20,000) that was a combination of standard vintner series racking and some custom racking. My issues started with delivery - they delivered the wine cellar to the wrong address. Instead of where I currently live in Michigan they delivered it to my old address in Minnesota. It took multiple calls and emails before I could get it re-directed, and even after that I was left to wait with my breath held that it would eventually show up. There was no updated tracking information from fedex or any way to know the status. After two weeks it finally showed up. Then the fun really begins. Two giant pallets of boxes were unloaded in my garage. Well over 50 individual boxes. But, there was no packing slip or any sort of list of what was being delivered. Just 50+ boxes with vague writing on the outside. I had no idea (and as of this writing still have no idea) if I was delivered what I paid $20k for. I have sent multiple emails to WCI and not gotten any meaningful response. They cannot provide me any sort of list of what was sent, what is contained in each box, how these boxes correspond to my cellar design, and how it is supposed to be assembled. I have placed multiple calls to the company (a manager named Tony Wilke) and have not gotten any response. My trim carpenters are on site and sifting through the boxes to try to figure out how to assemble the cellar. It is truly unbelievable. I can't imagine this is the way they have historically done business. It simply couldn't work this way. Needless to say, I am not a happy customer and would never recommend WCI as a source for a larger, complicated cellar. If you are buying a few racks I am sure they are fine, but steer clear if you are planning something more extensive. I am hoping that this post might prompt them to call me back.

Extremely disappointed replies to the reply:

Extremely disappointed! I purchased the 9 bottle wine rack. It arrived today and I assembled it. It is not trivial assembly and they suggest “Nail gun recommended!” Indeed. In order to drive the nails straight without breaking the already assembled parts I drilled pilot holes for every nail. Even slight hammering on the nails shook apart the support bars that are only stapled in; Really! and there are the bars that are supposed support the wine. The item is poorly made; likely not in China. I have assembled many pieces of complicated furniture made in China and have never encountered anything this shoddy. Also, it is expensive. If it had been $18 I still would have been disappointed. I advise: do not buy these wine racks. Buy some sticks and screws from Lowe’s and make your own; it will have to be better and sturdier. I am so disappointed, after waiting six weeks for this poorly made item: just plain shoddy! So sorry to have to write this. AlenThe customer service person emailed me expressing their concerns about my disappointment. He offered to have sent to me a fully assembled unit to compensate for my inconvenience. The prompt and effective remedy was greatly appreciated and I have Graciously accepted the offer. This is indeed excellent customer service. Thank you. Allen
