We’d tried many kitchen companies previously but none had what we were looking for then we were recommended Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch. From start to finish, we cannot fault them. Professional and friendly from design to delivery and always at the end of the phone for any fitting queries. The craftsmanship of the cabinets is exceptional and we loved that we could paint the cabinets ourselves. We now have our dream kitchen and we cannot stop recommending Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch to everyone!

Overall a fantastic experience although I echo the comments made about some (but not all) of the team being a bit intransigent at times. Nevertheless, the kitchen supplied is of a really high quality and the price (for what you get) is pretty unbeatable. Overall a very happy customer.

The attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in every piece.The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through the entire process with patience and expertise. They were always available to answer questions and offer advice, making the planning stage a breeze.The quality of the cabinetry is exceptional. The final product exceeded my expectations. I particularly appreciated the flexibility of the design, allowing my fitter to customize one of the cupboards to accommodate my boiler.Once painted, the units truly transformed my space. We are delighted with our bespoke kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch which has fitted in to our kitchen that had some challenges to overcome in terms of size and shape . We were delighted with the service we received. The units are lovely to look at and all function beautifully. We love the drawer units and our larder cupboard. The website is extremely helpful when planning the kitchen.

I’ve used Handmade Kitchens on 2 houses and would be happy to use them again. I was very pleased with the service and used Graham their recommended designer as my kitchen is an awkward shape. The delivery team were fantastic and the units fitted perfect. No snags on any of the units and the kitchen fitter had everything in place in one day. I am really happy with my finished kitchen and it’s transformed the way we use the space and how I feel about it. Very happy customer 😊

Delighted with our bespoke kitchen
We first heard about Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch from our daughter and son-in-law who ordered their kitchen from this company. We visited the showroom to see the range of cabinetry and subsequently placed an order. There is absolutely no hard sell. The ordering and designing process were straightforward. We gave the dimensions of our room and notes on the type of cabinets we wanted. One of their designers then sent a design and we had a meeting to discuss this and make any alterations. The delivery was very smooth and efficient. We had more work to do because Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch do not project manage the whole thing like other kitchen companies. We found our own fitter, electrician and plumber and had to source all the appliances and the worktop. However we have saved well over £20,000 and have a wonderful bespoke kitchen. The cabinets are well made and look amazing. We would highly recommend this company.

Delighted with our fabulous kitchen
We moved into our Victorian house just under two years ago. The kitchen was one of our renovation projects, but it had a few quirky obstacles to navigate around. Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch provided excellent advice on how to work round the obstacles and produced the cabinetry at varying depths, which was essential to us.The staff were helpful both pre and post sale and the quality of the cabinets is excellent. We were recommended this company by friends who were delighted with their kitchen and we would certainly recommend them too.

We had our kitchen delivered a few weeks back and was very impressed with the quality,The delivery however was appalling,When the drivers pulled up one was smoking a cigaratte in the van (he had a orange top on so can only assume he was the team leader) and i asked him if it was ok to show him where it was going and his words was "wait untill i have finished my F A G" They also damaged units bringing them in and there response was "if you are not happy we will take it back" Really discusting behavour

Wasted Exersise
Look like nice kitchens but over subscribed Maybe because of the big discounts in their sales. I read on their site that they arent pushy I but we have been contacted already twice which is pointless when the prices shown aren't available. Seems a tactic to get more details from you. The reason for the review is that the really posh person I spoke to acted like we'd be privileged to get booked in and spoke over me :( It seems this company only want "one" to be of a certain pedigree. May be why they want your postcode 1st :(

A top quality kitchen at a reasonable price
We've had our kitchen for almost 9 years now, having chosen it when our house was undergoing a year long complete renovation, and it still has the wow factor now. We painted it when it was originally fitted and have not had to repaint it since.Despite the 'in frame handmade look' now being much copied by other companies I would say that very few match up to HMK in terms of quality and certainly none in terms of price. We are now in the process of re-doing our home office and wishing to achieve the Neptune Chawton look I am now ordering more units from HMK - the price for the Neptune units we want is £4734, the HMK price is £3354 - plus HMK are bespoke sizes.Vicki was very helpful when I called the Christchurch showroom today to discuss some details and overall, I cannot recommend HMK highly enough.I will update this review when we receive the new units later this year.

Highly recommended - £50k kitchen for £15k!!!
I have been impressed right from the start with my in showroom experience from Lynne. Ella worked through loads of my documents and ideas to formalise a good design. The delivery was on time and delivered by two gentlemen who took their time to show me through any installation challenges. Wood is a natural product and with such a large kitchen it was probably inevitable that there would be some movement once it settled in a warm house. With no fuss, Penny organised for the customer service manager to visit and identified a few of the doors and cabinets needed adjusting/changing. Within a week your team was back out again and had fixed everything.We are very pleased with the product but most importantly, how you have dealt with any challenges that have come up along the way.

Highly recommend - great quality and excellent value
I have a kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch; it's now 3 years old and I still love it. So much so that I've recommended the company to friends and family alike; I'm pleased to say that at least three families have bought a similar kitchen from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch because of my recommendation.The quality is fantastic for the price, and makes a "bespoke" kitchen possible on a budget. The staff at the Christchurch (Dorset) showroom were fantastic and helpful at every stage. If we ever move house and need a new kitchen, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch again.

Fantastic service/quality and it looks…
Fantastic service/quality and it looks like a showstopper now its been installed.I have read reviews that doors didn't fit etc. but that will depend on the floor it's laid on and the wall its laid up against. A small discrepancy can throw the door alignment out but they can be easily dealt with with a competent installer and painter.We were looking originally at Neptune and Smallbone kitchens and we are very happy we went with Hand Made Kitchens.

Great kitchen and great service
We have just finished fitting the kitchen and have nothing but praise for Handmadekitchens of Christchurch. The kitchen is well made and exceptionally strong as the island is now supporting a 400kg piece of granite with no trouble at all.Most importantly the aftercare service is beyond compare with all niggles (caused by the installation not the kitchen) sorted very quickly.Only advice I can give is to have any fridge door fitted on its hinges in the factory and buy a slider door fridge as the other type are just too hard to fit with a framed kitchen. We were lucky and bought our fridge from ao.com who were happy to change it for us at no charge!

Excellent customer service
We have recently finished our new kitchen and are extremely pleased with the finished result. There were some issues along the way but we were impressed by the customer service dealing with them.As the units were unpainted and our build timetable meant we couldn't install or paint the units immediately, some of the doors had expanded and didn't close. They sent out a workman to rectify this. One door was dented but a new one was sent without fuss.Our builder fitted the cornice incorrectly. Even though it was the builder's error, HMK sent a replacement cornice with no charge.The design team were very helpful but you do need to spend time yourself checking the measurements etc. They have an impressive range of units so you really can get a kitchen to your requirements.Overall, if you want a beautiful bespoke kitchen at a good price then I'd highly recommend HMK of Christchurch.

Having worked in the British furniture industry for 43 years, the materials and construction were important to me when choosing our kitchen. We needed a functional kitchen that a busy family can use everyday without worry. Similarly the design and quality had to be in-keeping with the original features of our home built in 1928.We wanted to maximise the space and HMK had the ability and willingness to provide the units we needed.We had lived without the kitchen we wanted for a long time so to have exactly what we needed and wanted, has been fantastic for us.HMK did everything they said, in an efficient manner, therefore we have been happy to recommend HMK to friends and family who have already ordered kitchens.Andrew & Margaret Smith.

We chose Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch as we were frustrated by the laziness of other kitchen designers who put profit before good kitchen design.HMKC were very willing and helpful in finalising our design and maximising the potential of our kitchen .We ended up with the kitchen of our dreams at a realistic price .The whole process was enjoyable and we had a sense of achievement from designing exactly what we wanted and the results are fantastic .Weve had lots of compliments and recommend HMKC to anyone that will listen .

Very pleased with this company. We bought a large kitchen in 2017 for our brand new extension. The ordering process was straight forward and we enjoyed planning the layout on our own with some advice and tips from the company. The customer service we received was spotless and the quality of the units very good indeed. There was one cabinet that didn't align properly and they promptly replaced it at no extra cost. A year later, I asked to purchase an extra appliance door and again the service I received was excellent.We have a stunning kitchen, which everyone comments on, at a fraction of the cost of buying it on the high street. We would thoroughly recommend this company!

Good product and service
We researched many companies before purchasing a kitchen and found this one to be the best in terms of quality. You need to be prepared to paint and fit the units but it gives you the option to have a bespoke colour and change in the future. The staff at the Esher branch were very professional, friendly and helpful in assisting us with our choice of units. One of our drawers was engraved incorrectly on arrival but this was rectified and the after sales service was also very good. If you want to create your own bespoke quality kitchen at a reasonable price, this is the company for you.
