Don't do it--

I ordered a large order for Christmas. I received only half of the items. Contacted them immediately. Never answered their phone, or responded to my text or emails. Tried repeatedly for two weeks, nothing. I was lucky that I paid with PayPal. PayPal eventually refunded my money.

Expired items

A lot of the items I ordered were expired!! After emailing them of my concern, they wanted me to return the items at my expense which was not acceptable as their shipping charges are very high

Great quality, great service!

The quality of their products is great. Always fresh and quick. The only place I shop for British goods. Would love it if they would carry Scottish Meat Pies. Hopefully that will come.

Will my order ever arrive?

Placed an order Feb 11th, "shipped Feb 14th", it's now March 5th and nothing has arrived. Sent an email asking about the delay, got NO REPONSE. Will not be ordering again.

Shipping took forever

Shipping took forever - I had to remind them I placed an order! They ended up shipping me my stuff but it was well past the use by date. Waste of money.

InStock Does Not Mean You ill Get It

Placed order for items shown as "in-stock" on 12/30. Paid their exorbitant shipping costs ($25 product and $13.50 shipping) and, on January 10th checked status of the order. 4 of the 4 items showed as being "Out of Stock" and the order status was unfulfilled.Complained to Customer Support who told me "Our inventory is live and the item's have been reserved for your order". Too late, my guests leave on Sunday and I won't want the stuff after that. So I cancelled the order and am now waiting on the refund.

Avoid, they will keep your money and provide no product

I had paid for a subscription box I never received. I also never received any notification about it, from them or the post office. It is showing an "unknown status"This company refuses to return my $35 that I paid in good faith for this subscription, until they "get the box back." From who?? No one has it and I suspect it was never sent!I am taking them to court because I am done asking nicely, and it is about not ripping off customers at this point. How disgusting and cheap. I did nothing wrong and yet, they hold on to my money like it's stopping them from going under. Hmmmmm......

Awesome Company! This company offers authentic British…

This company offers authentic British foods. Their service is outstanding. We used to live close to their warehouse; then we moved Tennessee. I can still order knowing everything arrives in a safe and timely manner. Ignore that 1 star review!

Quality Items, Fair Price, Timely Delivery and Excellent Packing

I've been pleased with the price, quality (can't get many of their unique items anywhere else), freshness, and timely delivery of items from the British Food Depot, especially the way items are packed in the delivery box. I am a repeat customer.

Order never received

Order never received, tried contacting the company first by e-mail (no response), then by phone. One of the numbers on the order confirmation is another company? Found another number and tried calling, went to voice mail. Did not leave a message as I do not expect a response. Never received a shipping confirmation or tracking number. Order contained perishable meat products. Paid by PayPal and filed a complaint with them as well. Will not order from this company again. No customer service, unreliable.

Terrible

Ordered on December 28th and was given 2 options for shipping dates. I was ordering for an event and chose the one that would have my package delivered by overnight shipping on January 5th at a shipping cost of -$75. Nothing was showing up in any of my apps with any providers so on Jan 5th. I sent an email and a message through their website contact form. No response. Nothing on Monday 8th either so on Tuesday Jan 9th I opened a PayPal dispute and immediately escalated it as I no longer had the need for the items ordered. Within hours I miraculously get a notice they’re shipping the items. Clearly initiating the charge-back and dispute through PayPal triggered this but they didn’t even bother to read it was no longer needed as an order. To add to the stupidity of this all they shipped the day before a bad winter storm was supposed to hit the area BFD is located in. You’d think they’d take some extra precaution realizing there might be some delays… nah they just added 3 one-time ice packs to a shipment with 6 frozen items in it and figured that was good to go. This was my second order through them and my last. The first one was equally disastrous. There’s zero communications from these people. Zero attention to emails. Zero thought process. Health authorities should pay them a visit to inspect their shipping practices.

Finally received my order after 13 days…

Finally received my order after 13 days with missing items, the box of $19.90 Scottish Shortbread came half broken, the pressed edges of 2 pasties were broken off. They obviously just threw everything into the box without packing them with care.

Caveat Emptor

Ordered, what I thought and what the website represented, Coleman's products out of the UK. What I received were USA made products from Seven Nations Food Distributors out of Mt Vernon NY. Classic bait and switch. I've taken photos of the shipping order indicating Coleman's products and photos of the labels of the products I received in case they are requested. Spend your hard earned $ elsewhere with a more reputable business offering legitimate UK products.

I wanted to jump in here an give my review since I see a lot of negative ones. A year ago I made a large order for chocolates. I received the order on time and complete with everything fresh and in great condition. I just received an order I olaced on October 27th received it two days early and everything is perfect. I haven’t had any problems and will likely order again next Christmas to get my Quality street and Roses tins.

If I could give this company a negative…

If I could give this company a negative number of stars, I would. I just received a box of Easter candy and one of the Lucozade cans inside the box had been crushed and had soaked into everything, turning it into a big, soggy, sticky, orange mess that was literally dripping when I picked it up. It wasn't UPS's fault. The fault lay with the careless packers in the warehouse who'd thrown everything in the box. There wasn't even a quality control sheet in there, for obvious reasons. When I contacted them with photos of the mess, they told me to return the damaged items. Really? You want me to somehow mail back the soggy, soaked cardboard and ruined candy in a magical, leakproof box? Give me a break! $100+ down the drain with no attempt by them to refund my money or give me rewards points towards my next purchase. This company shows ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY and the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I've spent so much money in the past buying their merchandise, wanting to support a small business. Lesson learned. Never again.

I spent over $42.00 on items I never…

I spent over $42.00 on items I never received. The items were sent to the wrong address, and when I informed them, they stopped responding to my email. I even asked them to send the items to the correct address, and no one has responded. It's been over 2 months, and I'm yet to get a refund or replace the items. I will have to dispute the charges through my creditor.
