After only a few lessons with Ari I've learned a lot of new things to apply in my playing. The classes have also re-sparked my enthusiasm for practicing and playing. Ari has a fun and easygoing teaching style, and each lesson presents many new ideas and concepts to work on. Very glad I became a member!
When you join this blog, you will find a series of well thought out sessions on various aspects of playing the bass guitar. there are also several more advanced courses regarding music theory that, for me, have clarified points that I've just faked my way around up until now. Customer service is excellent. From musical questions to some technical difficulties getting my Zoom account connected, Ari and her people have always been patient and helpful. I've been part of the Beta course "Music Theory For The Bass Player" and have re-done it three times. There's so much material involved, you always discover new aspects and light bulbs lit when you go over things again and again.One of the key aspects of this course is INTERACTING. I mean students have to record themselves and post videos once every two weeks on a dedicated platform. Videos are visible for all students. It's motivating to see others progress and gets even more when you receive nice comments and congratulations about your video.There's also a monthly Zoom live meeting where students can ask questions to Ari and show what they're working on.If you have any special question, Ari can be joined by mail. She's there to help you.Currently doing "The Pattern System" course. It's her second course that goes beyond what 's taught in the MTFTBP course.
A talented teacher as well as a talented bassist. The teaching materials get straight down to business (no waffle) and are extremely well thought out. Can thoroughly recommend this website as the perfect starting point for continuing your bass journey no matter what level you're currently at.

Lots of videos, information and networking with other aspiring bass players. Learn about the culture of bass and who’s who in the bass world. Ari’s is a fantastic teacher - knowledgable, enthusiastic and inspiring. I love how her into, intermediate and advance practice sessions follow the same format each week with different levels of theory, technique and application. Missed a live session? No problem, all the videos are posted for streaming at your own time convenience. I’ve looked at a lot of online bass lessons over the years and this is the by far the best!

Ari is a fantastic teacher who gives live online group lessons that cater for all levels of bass player from beginner to advanced. She breaks down songs and shows how to use them to practice your technique, analyses them for music theory applications that you can use in other areas of your playing. Classes are friendly and lots of fun and there is no pressure to perform. A great way to progress your bass playing with a supportive and friendly online community and Ari is an amazing teacher.
This is an incredible site. The opportunities are endless to learn everything that you ever wanted to know about the bass guitar. Ari has classes and is eager to assist if you need clarification on a subject. The other members are supportive and we share experiences of practice and gigging. I have used Ari's learning materials for years. Both her books 'Music Theory for the Bass Player' and the follow up 'Pattern System for the Bass Player' are the only 2 books i use now when practicing. Ari is exceedingly encouraging and supportive and one of the friendliest people you could meet. The resources and community available through arisbassblog.com is superb and i would encourage anyone who wants to improve their playing enormously to join as its exceedingly good value and very nurturing and educational environment. I couldn’t live without it. She brings deep musical knowledge of all styles and teaches all levels and it’s fun! She knows how to teach— what works and what doesn’t. I play jazz, and she has been my teacher for over 8 years. But I’ve also learned Bossa, Reggae etc. With her. This new “community” way of teaching is the best yet. I can either attend live or view past sessions as much as i want to.

Ari is a great teacher. She relates well to her students and makes the process fun. I consider myself an ‘intermediate’ player and she’s given me a lot of good cues to improve my playing.
