Very nasty and aggressive driver reversed into my car refused to give me his insurance details threatening me swearing in front off my 11 Yr son and out side a school avoid this company if that's what drivers are like NX16 FHM had to call the police
Taxi driver named Syed taking me from 39 Rosberg rd Canvey Island to yellow door youth club and back didn't know where he's going, plus he moaned to me that i don't know where I'm or where im dropping my daughter off, im working since 7am till 7pm my daughter is 13 years old she goes on her own and after work in unpleasant wether im picking her up. I have to put Google maps on, he want stop moaning about that i dont know where I'm what a service unhappy utterly
Always such a good experience when I have booked taxis for me and my family and friends. I ordered a few cars last night going to multiple areas off of the island for me and some friends, the cars arrived promptly even though it was very busy where we was and worried that they wouldn't find us as it was packed at the seafront, the drivers rung us to tell us where they were waiting. The drivers we had were so polite and the cars were very clean. And credit where its due the girl on the phone when booking our cars in was lovely and very helpful with us. I hope its her I speak to when I call and book my upcoming airport trip. Thanks again steves taxis for a good service. Perfect end to a great bank holiday.
Cab called picked up another Customer despite me showing the booking. 15 mins later the next cab driver Raj. Vehicle reg KO69AYB Turned up where we were originally were waiting but drove away as refused to drive down to where partner who is disabled needed to move to and sit 15 yards away on a bench. Finally the first driver turned up telling, let's call them untruths. Charlotte that charming dispatcher needs to find another job away from customer services as the attitude displayed when she was let down by her drivers was appalling. Used Steve's for a long time but hopefully Value Cabs make greater inroads to Castle Point as Steve's are awful most of the time ( Gotta exclude our Bro from Sri Lanka who we used Saturday and Monday who was a great guy)
Needed taxi to collect medicine. Outside light on, looking through window waiting. Phoned him but was on silent missed a call so I phoned back. He claimed he’d waited outside for 10mins. And..he wouldn’t lie. I said it must be wrong house as there are no tire marks in the ice- -3, no taxi. I asked if he had parked down the road, he said no. He insisted he was right, he was rude, wouldn’t put it down to misunderstanding nor did he offer to correct. He just wanted to argue and not do it! I had to get off phone and make other arrangements. Never again.
Once again I was able to use this great taxi company. I live in Leigh just outside Castle Point but they still supplied a cab. Great driver extremely pleasant and I felt very comfortable with him. Honestly I feel they are the best taxi service around here. If I need a cab I would only use this company.
Having used for some years have found them very rude and unhelpful on last 2 occasions Firstly would not accept a prepayment by card over phone to secure a booking ?? Surely all reputable companies use this method now but NO. Leaving me stranded at airport. Then ordered a cab (reluctantly) from home, after chasing twice was told it was outside, it was halfway down road but I was practically called a liar by operator. Driver did apologise but a Needless argument prior. Then was dropped off much further along road than destination... and to.top it off left my gloves in back of cab! Needless to say will not use them again.
Absolutely first class taxi service there and back . Made sure I got into my house before he drove off very much appreciated.. thank you .. Driver was called Brett .
There was a driver in a red car reg AE16 YWV who did not listen to what I told about where I wanted to go. 3 times I had to tell that git who I suggest should never work as a driver anymore. as he does not listen to people.
I’ve used them a fair bit. Some drivers are very nice.Unfortunately they have a fair amount that arnt. However, having a driver watching tv while driving and not wearing a seat belt is not good enough. On top of that. He demanded I paid before we got to the location and was rude. No please or thank yous.

i got a taxi for my friend yesterday it arrived on time the driver was so helpful he helped her into taxi and on return it was same driver he helped her to the door and was so polite and helpful
My driver, Adrian Gude, was a thoroughly pleasant and friendly guy, who went above and beyond to get me home sooner than my scheduled booking, which I very much appreciate.Smooth ride, great conversation, top fella. Will 100% be using their services again.
I called a taxi at 12:25 requesting one to go to the hospital, due to feeling unwell i needed to go asap, which i was advised to. i dont drive. a lady answered and first off she was rude and very blunt to begin with but whatever. then, no taxi arrived so i called 30mins later, and was told that i was a “no payer” because they called me and it was for someones girlfriend and a man answered the phone or something?? i had NO idea what she was on about. i had a missed call from someone prior to me calling the taxi back, and i did call that number back, asked if he was the taxi and he said “no” and just kept repeating “missed call” so i have no idea what she was on about. she was rude as anything and said if a man gets in the taxi they will infact not take me hospital. no man answered MY phone, and i was very confused, and really didn’t appreciate this womans terrible attitude. i asked for another taxi, then decided to change my mind and cancel as i was astounded at how rude, entitled, ignorant and arrogant she was. never use this taxi service. disgusting.
The drivers are friendly but the lady receptionist is very rude and disrespectful, she makes grave accusations on the phone.The first time she displayed this behaviour,it was quiet upsetting and she repeated this same behaviour yesterday.I think she needs more training in customer service and unconscious bias especially when relating with people with a different accent to yours.I am very disappointed because I find the behaviour appalling.
I ordered a taxi from sainsbury which cost me the same as if I have to been to tescos extra there are 2.4 miles in between taking the pics. I will never use steves taxi again
Booked a taxi for 12:15am. Didnt turn up. After numerous calls to the local office they said their office inPakistan canceled a number of taxis directed to our location. After 50 minutes waiting of a freezing cold morning the taxi that eventually turned up charged us £25 for a 9 minute taxi ride.
Steve's cabs have the contract through the local authority to transport my severely disabled 5 year old to school all week. After the awful experience with Perry's Taxi I was apprehensive but needn't have been... The drivers are kind and patient, often going out of their way to comfort my distressed daughter or joking and giggling with her. The office staff manning the phone are always friendly and helpful. I'm short, if you know of a vulnerable person in need of regular transport these guys are perfect. Or If you just need a reliable cab company to get from a to b without hassle, give them a shout.
