I was charged after cancelling my free trial, even thought it was clearly stated that if I cancelled before the trial expired, I'd not have to pay. Biggest scammers of all time.

Site appears to be nothing but a phishing scam
They have all sorts of promises to get access to info without having to pay anything, but it just strings you along for information till it tries to trick you into payment.

Horrible company. LIARS
I tried the free trial. Didn't like it. But, although Scribd should have sent me an email before the free trial expired, they didn't and also charged me before expiry. I contacted them for a refund. Their response was negative and dismissive, so I opened a PayPal case. They responded, saying they would refund me but claimed I should close the case with PayPal. I closed the case with PayPal, and immediately Scribd sent an email refusing the refund. Horrible company. LIARS

Tried free trial cancelled was charged anyway customer service rep lied
Tried free trial. Wasn't for me. I cancelled the free trial and they charged me anyway. Contacted them for a refund No response so I opened a paypal case. Finally they respond but claim they cant send a refund while the case is open. I close the case. Immediately they send an email saying aince the case was closed they didnt have to send a refund. Liars and scammersEdit: I tried to respond below but there's nothing to click to reply.

WARNING, Theft of recipes
This company posts recipes that they do not own the rights to. Recipes for Mr. and Mrs. Hare and others are posted for free download but are owned and developed by Kreadelux in Denmark. Kreadelux sells their recipes individually to customers worldwide directly. stop stealing. you are committing a crime when you download from SCRIBD

After subscription, I downloaded two books. Then the website and app cannot be accessible. I cannot cancel subscription or use the website or app at all. This is a scam.

AVOID 100%: SCRIBD = WORST RE NEVER RELEASING YOU
AVOID AT ALL COSTS In 2023 this shady "firm" sent me an email confirming I had "cancelled my subscription".DESPITE THAT, EVERY YEAR THEY TRY TO TAKE WHAT FOR ME IS A LARGE SUM FROM MY ACCOUNT. I made the mistake of a trial sub since when they have never given up trying to swindle me. I have all the emails proving the above, and will send to anyone interested e.g confirmation my sub was cancelled. Every year they try it on e.g. 2024 /2025/2026!

do not engage with them as you cannot cancel your subscription and they will try on and on to get money from your account . Despite numerous emails its no way to cancel your subscription untill you will ring the bank and put them on the scam list . Be aware to subscribe on this worst app

RIP OFF ! SCAM ! FRAUDULENT!
Absolutely crooked! A RIP OFF!!! I was fraudulently billed for 8 months, by an email address that wasn't mine. When I contacted their incompetent Customer Service, I was told they would only refund two random months of service because all the other payments had been "finalized" and that their Refund Policy prohibited it! SAVE YOUR TIME AND ESPECIALLY YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY !!!

Taking money from customer accounts more than once and without permission should be illegal. This company or phissing or scam company take money from people's account. I'm personally waiting for x2 refunds the amounts were taken in the space of days of days of each other. They should be shut down

entirely frauduent charge
this company actually charged my paypal via some kind of popup that appeared when I was trying to order an UBER ride in Mexico. Not only did they charge me once, they created a subscription in paypal for MONTHLy charges for a service I never requested nor approved. Entirely fraudulent.

Instead, the downloaded file consisted of an AI-generated, superficial, totally useless summary of the book.AVOID SCRIBD!
