I got banned for spam but i didnt spam ! When someone report you, you are banned.They Not even look what the reported user really did ! Thats sad because thats a really good forum.

When I joined MusicBanter a few years ago, I mostly posted about reggae and metal and sometimes jazz - it seemed like a fun community to share your views, write reviews and participate in. Sometime after 2016 though, the site gradually transformed into a place where anyone who disagreed with far-left ideology under any context was not tolerated, a marked change from previous administrative attitudes in regards to general discussion. During my time on the website, I saw moderators such as Frownland (among others) throwing temper tantrums and abusing their administrative authority to edit and troll regular user posts in the middle of discussions when they disagreed about issues related to economic policy, drug discussion, gender ideology and news-oriented topics that would come up related to Covid-19 or something political. In addition to this, I observed on multiple occasions that moderators would egg on regular users in these discussions to basically bully and personally attack the people they disagreed with...all while still abusing their authority in a manner similar to dog-whistling. It appeared to be a constant pattern, one that continues into the present with seemingly no oversight.I don't think you can have a community that says they are welcoming to people with different opinions and then bully and troll people who don't agree with moderators. It destroys trust and the willingness to have good faith discussions. And to make matters worse, very little engagement happens in any of the music-focused subforums or user journals.This community had value at some point in the past, but based on how things have progressed in the last few years, I would highly recommend people seek out musical camaraderie elsewhere. Whether you agree with the moderators or not, you will inevitably be treated unfairly if you step out of line on any issue they have a particular bias on.In short, buyer beware.
This online forum is boring. Nobody is allowed to say anything that goes against the moderator(s) and administrator(s) stupid rules. People have gotten their accounts banned on this online forum for no logical reason. I know because I've talked to some people who used to be members on this online forum until they realised this online forum is fake with fake people who act fake so they don't get banned. Not that I'm surprised because a lot of online forums and social media platforms have become a cesspit of no real discussions that make people feel like they can say anything without getting banned. Antisemitism, Holocaust denial, making fun of feminists, making fun of transgender people, making fun of liberals, and making fun of anyone or anything are things that are becoming more controversial because people are becoming virtue signalling snowflakes that take themselves too seriously instead of letting people have opinions and letting people make fun of anything and anyone. This online forum is proof of that.
