I owned a static caravan in Snowdonia
I owned a static caravan in Snowdonia, had 8 lovely years of memory making then Lyons took over. The site became nothing like it was previously and despite promises that older caravans, providing they were in good condition could go onto a yearly contract (still stated on their website) this meant absolutely nothing. Our Static was 19 years old, we were badgered to pay next years fees early to get a £300 discount. We did this, then 2 weeks later we were rung by the site to say either upgrade or move off, the upgrades were not in half as good condition as our van and they wanted us to pay ridiculous amounts for the privilege. We finished up walking away. It took us 6 weeks to get our advanced fees back. This company do not care about their customers one bit.

Bought a caravan last Summer with the help of Shannon Harrison. I have to say she was absolutely brilliant throughout the process. No pushy sales tactics, no rushing and pressure. She was professional and is always on hand even now with any questions I may have. Sale went through smoothly with no issues. If anyone is thinking of taking the plunge and investing in a lovely home from home, please don't hesitate to speak to Shannon Harrison and Winkups.

DO NOT BUY A CARAVAN FROM THESE PIRAYES
Please, please do not buy a caravan from lyons holidays based in Towyn - Rhyl. The sales team are very good at selling you 'The Dream' however, once you have given them your hard earned money then things do down hill very quickly. Michael Hughes, the sales manager (calling him a manager is a joke) is absolutely worse than useless, he's a liar, a bully and just not a nice person. After sales service is horrendous, repairs take months to fix, if ever, nobody answers emails, when calling the person you need to speak to isn't there and they never return your calls. Visit them and they promise the earth but nothing gets resolved. Selling your caravan back to them is just horrendous. It's taken over 10 months to sort this and they gave me less than £5000 for a caravan we aid £38000 just 4 years earlier. You can't sell the caravan on site and if you want to move the caravan they charge you £1000's to disconnect it. Please look else where and don't believe the sales patter especially from Michael Hughes.

Disgraceful company
Disgraceful company. Buy a caravan and everything they say is writing or verbal is false. They tell customers what they want to hear and when your tied in bump the prices up way past what they put in writing.

DO NOT Buy From These Pirates!
Would give lyons less than 1 star if possible. Please, please do not buy a caravan from these pirates. The sale team are brilliant at their job, they sell you the 'dream' and take your money off you. However, after sales is worse than useless. Please do not have anything to do with the spineless joke of a bloke called Michael Hughes. He is a liar, a bit of a bully and absolutely useless at his job. Lyons will sell you a caravan for £40000 and offer you 10% of that cost when buying back even if it is within a couple of years. Bought a caravan 4 years ago for £38000 and have been offered £5000 for it. The caravan is in immaculate condition and probably worth £25000 at least. They won'tAllow you to sell the caravan on site and will charge you a fortune to disconnect it if you want to move it. Please stay away. I have heard many, many, stories about lyons and Michael Hughes and they are all very negative. Leave well alone and buy from a proper company not these Scam artists.

Lyons winkups Towyn, North Wales
Lyons winkups, Towyn, Abergele, Wales. Booked for 4 nights and came home after second night. Absolutely appalling, first caravan smelt like a thousand ash trays, stunk of stale fags. YUK. I complained and they eventually moved us to a different caravan which was supposedly being cleaned. On entering the second caravan we was greeted with the sight of a dirty spotted stained carpet which had a 2 beautiful curry stains winking at us by the seating area. No net curtains whatsoever so no privacy at all. There was some sort of old used tissue paper underneath the main bedroom bed, I was not going to investigate that any further. In one of the side bedrooms there was an old dirty spoon under the bed. Could have sworn they said it was being cleaned ! The door to the shower cubicle was falling to bits , the glass was coming away from the actual door panel, there was mould in the corner of the shower and along the bottom of the shower where the door slides back n forth. Could have sworn they said they were cleaning it ! This gets better 👍 on entering the small toilet there is a small radiator situated right next to the toilet. absolutely fine, however someone must of had the misfortune of having the screaming ab dabs which departed their anus at the speed of a Ferrari so completely missed the toilet and inadvertently squirted there intestine juices all over it in a pebble dash fashion. Yuk. ( photos to prove ) also I could not find anywhere on there website where it stated that our caravan would be situated right next to the train line ( photos to prove ) so every half hour or every 5 minutes after that a train shook our caravan like Mount Etna was erupting. This was extremely exciting starting at 04:30 in the morning and lasting till 23:30 at night. Absolutely perfect if you wanted a nice quiet relaxing holiday. NOT. Dirty rubbish all over the caravan site and broken glass seen in several places. Not great if you have dogs. Would I recommend this place to anyone umm not even to my worst enemy ! Shocking standards !

Would give them less than one star for customer service if I could. DO NOT BUY A CARAVAN FROM LYONS!! No care, no consideration, absolute pirates. We have been waiting nearly 6 months for them to contact us about buying back a caravan after my parent who owned the caravan died. The caravan has remained empty and unused and they have still charged the full site fees even though I have phoned and emailed them over 30 times over the past 6 months. Nobody ever returns a call. Went to visit them and spoke to the sales manager and he was worse than useless. Promised he would have it sorted within 2 weeks, that was 3 weeks ago and although I have emailed him on numerous occasions and sent him all the relevant information he still hasn’t bothered to contact me. Caravan was bought for £34000 about 4 years ago and the sales manager said they would offer us about £5000 for it. He couldn’t even be bothered to come and view it, he just said I’ve got 5 sites I’m not bothered about that caravan. When buying the van they were on the phone every other day but when we want to get this sorted they couldn’t care less. I have recently talked to two other owners on the same site and they are trying to sell their caravan back to Lyons and they are having the same problems. The sales manager actually said to one of the other owners that he will buy his caravan for £5000 and probably sell it for over £22000. What a way to treat customers.

Never again!
Went on 3 short breaks to Lyons Caerelwan Barmouth in 2024. Firstly the staff in Caerelwan are brilliant Carole on reception is a lovely lady. Our visits in 24 were very good.We booked again for a 3 night break in February 25. This time we had the lodge with hot tub! It’s the most expensive one to stay in.I asked to book the swimming pool for Saturday morning but was told the boiler was broke so couldn’t use the pool. According to Customer Service we were offered to use a local pool discounted! Lol.The lodge didn’t have WiFi, I did manage to piggyback off another caravan but was very hit & miss. I phoned the WiFi people but was told the lodge didn’t have a cube for WiFi. Apparently we got WiFi off another van so that was ok! The hot tub had a funny smell coming from it, a bit like rotten eggs! we did use it but was stinky. Apparently They check the hot tub once a day? Unless the engineer was in stealth mode I never seen anyone check for Ph levels like I know they do in Barmouth Bay holiday park.We had a door that wouldn’t lock so was open all night! The Maintenance man came next morning and sorted it straight away and was very helpful.I sent an email to Lyons in Rhyl and a reply off a lady who’s name was Paula apparently the customer service manager? I can now see why Lyons have a trust pilot of 2 stars as this woman is delusional! It’s not worth explaining or arguing with this type of person. So best thing for me is not to use Lyon’s holiday parks again. It’s a shame really as they have good staff in Caerelwan in Barmouth. Shame about the management in Rhyl. We did have break booked for August 25 but asked Paula (Lyons customer service manager) to cancel but had no reply. Which doesn’t surprise!

Purchased a caravan at Lido Beach
We have just purchased our first pre-owned caravan at Lido Beach Holiday Park. Adam was amazing and helped us find our perfect holiday home, we couldn't be happier! The park staff worked hard to ensure our caravan was ready for us to have our first weekend on 21st March, only 4 weeks following our purchase. The caravan is beautiful, exceeding all our expectations. Thank you Adam and all staff at Lido Beach. We are looking forward to fun times ahead! :)

missold and over charged holiday home no care for owners
poor service don't care for owners, felt ripped off !!!! absolute nightmare of an experience beware !!! i purchased a holiday home , which i feel i was oversold, miss sold and very overcharged, snags were never completed they only gave a couple of weeks to get these done and dragged fixing issues out, broken fridge leaking black gunk, electric fire kept cutting out , piece missing on shower which injured a guest and i had to refund the guest, Lyons took no responsibility because they had exchange the caravan to my hands , disgusting i asked them to fix the shower and dragged it out for months i got someone in and had a brand new shower fitted and they had the cheek to charge me over £100 to fix scamming me once again , window handles would always jam and not open and charged me £25 each time to what they call fix the handle their worked snapped the handle spur , didn't fix , didn't replace and i stupidly paid these fees multiple of times, i replaced the fridge the shower the external ariel , ripped all carpets up and replaced to find wet damp and mouldy flooring i sold and left due to the distress the lack of care and total disregards to their fault awful place i wouldn't buy on their or go on holiday.

Review for Lyons Holiday Park
Review for Lyons Holiday Park: Disappointing Experience with a New LodgeWe purchased a lodge from Lyons Holiday Park in October 2022, excited about our new holiday home. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from smooth. Despite purchasing in February, our lodge wasn’t put together until the end of May 2023, which was already a significant delay.Once the lodge was finally assembled, we encountered numerous issues with the setup. From faulty installations to incomplete fixtures, it seemed like one problem after another. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of Lyons Holiday Park, many of the problems remain unresolved even now, 18 months later. We’ve had to chase them repeatedly for corrections, but progress has been slow and frustrating. While we were initially excited about joining the park, the lack of proper communication and the ongoing issues with our lodge have dampened the experience. For anyone considering purchasing a static caravan or lodge here, be prepared for delays and a lengthy process to get everything in order. Hopefully, they can improve their service in the future, but as of now, our experience has been very disappointing.

Want a nice caravan holiday... Book with Park Dean not Lyon's
If you want a holiday on a place that has zero customer service, the caravan smells like an old dog kennel, stained seat cushions, supposed to be wheelchair friendly but most certainly is NOT, trip hazards on the access ramp, on a place that is littered with cigarette buts, smell like a marijuana farm with a site manager who identifies as a sales manager when there is a problem just so that he can bugger off home then this is the place for you.I stayed in Winkups Towyn, see my review on TripAdvisor and Google reviews.I emailed customer services with my concerns photo's and video evidence on 09/09/24 and have heard nothing to date (apart from the automated reply saying the email had been received). It appears that once that they have had your money they don't really give a toss about how bad your caravan/experience was.The health and Safety issue's with the wheelchair accessibility have now been reported to the Public Health Dept of the Council, lets see if they ignore them to see if they just go away.I will be returning in the near future to see if the ramp has been made safe, which won't be hard to do as the barrier to the camp is permanently up.See you soon Mike the Site/Sales manager (depending upon who you ask he says he's the sales manager, members of staff say that he is the site manger)
