Dishonest, Unprofessional, And Would NOT Recommend

Home Run Movers are dishonest, unprofessional, and I cannot recommend enough staying away from this company. This has been the worst moving experience of my life. Not only was a number of pieces of my furniture damaged during the move, but my couch has been taken from me and held by this company for over 20 days now. During the move I was told that Ty Roblin the owner had damaged my couch and he needed to take it back with him to get it repaired. Well my couch is now being held hostage as the company refuses to communicate with me, or answer my inquiries on where I can come get the couch. Even my requests for a photo of the damage have been ignored this entire time. Instead of taking responsibility, they have decided to hold my couch hostage going on 20 days now and promised repairs that never happened. They even lied about contacting a repair company. When I followed up myself, the repair company confirmed Home Run Movers never reached out despite their false claims of trying to after having my couch stored for over a week. After even repeated requests of just photos of the damage I have still received nothing. As a matter of fact the only answer I really got was the owner Ty threatening me with some "harsh words" just for asking about my couch. Instead of just sending me photos of the damage or actually contacting the repair company, he instead became aggressive and dismissive, proving how little he cares about his customers. Not only was my stuff damaged but they were 2 hours late for both the pick-up and drop-off. This caused major issues, including problems with my building’s elevator since I had reserved it within a specific timeframeAt this point they still refuse to let me pick up my own couch. Instead of just returning my property, they have held it hostage for weeks, forcing me to escalate this issue to Consumer Protection BC and take legal action. They are dishonest, unreliable, and completely unprofessional. If you care about your belongings and your peace of mind, do not trust them with your move. Find a company that actually values its customers.

STOLE MY FURNITURE

STOLE MY FURNITURE – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYMy experience with Home Run Movers has been nothing short of a nightmare. My husband and I trusted this company to move our furniture, and what they did was not only unprofessional but criminal. They stole my couch and have been illegally withholding it for over 20 days. After they claimed my couch was damaged during the move, they convinced my husband to trust them and allow them to take it back on the truck for repairs. We agreed, but when we tried to follow up on the repair, asking for pictures or even just a simple update, we learned that no one from Home Run Movers, neither Ty nor Jessica ever contacted the upholstery company we all agreed they would use to repair my supposedly damaged couch. When we confronted Ty about his lies, he then threatened us with “harsh words” before going completely radio silent. We made attempts to come and pick our couch up, even showing up to their business address stated on Clark Dr in numerous places. However, when we showed up, it appears as if their business does not actually operate from this location (which is a deceptive business practice). On top of this, the move was a nightmare. They showed up 2 hours late not only when picking the furniture up, but also 2 hours late when dropping it off, causing unnecessary delays and stress. The damage to our furniture was staggering: our dinner table was chipped in several places, our large mirror frame was cracked, and many of our expensive dinner plates and bowls were either chipped or completely broken as their incompetent movers blatantly ignored fragile labels on boxes and stacked them improperly.Clearly "Home Run Movers" is unprofessional, dishonest, and negligent. They have stolen my property, damaged my belongings, and now refuse to respond to any communication. If you value your time, money, and personal property, DO NOT use this company. They are breaking BPCPA laws and my husband and I have now escalated matters with the BPCPA and filed a formal complaint.Avoid this company at all costs.

Highly recommended!

I was recommended Home Run Movers by a friend who recently moved as well. Apparently they are the go-to movers for the whole studio she works at. Ty and his crew did an amazing job moving all of our furniture and boxes through some challenging 1970s design decisions (who puts two sets of 4 stairs down a long hallway for a ground floor unit?) and all of our stuff was blanket wrapped and carefully treated. I especially appreciated how they handled everything in the new place. They were happy to move or adjust any furniture, and ensure everything we moved was in the right spot. Thanks again for all your help!

These guys knocked it outta the park!

I've had some really dodgy moving experiences in the past, but booking with Home Run Movers was easy. They provided me a detailed estimate, and a list of tips and tricks to make a stressful undertaking a little easier. I was really pleased when Ty and his guys showed up to handle my move. After a quick rundown of what was going to happen, (putting me at ease) the guys leaped into action and didn't slow down until the last item was unloaded into my new place. No damages and they even came in under what the original quote was.
