I am suspicious that your profile is seen by no one unless you upgrade to HingeX, and probably also pay for boosts on top of that. I'm on standard Hinge and have had no likes in around five weeks, since joining. ZERO. I'm an attractive 57 year old woman, and am also contacting age appropriate men. Of maybe 50 messages sent, I think I've got maybe 2 replies. Something doesn't add up with this site ......
"We don't want you to get a match. We juse want your money." Have tried this off and on for a year. Every action requires an incremental cost. $2.95 for a "rose" to connect with another person. Plus the subscription cost. There is no non-phone version! DO NOT USE THIS APP.
Hinge is a misleading and greedy rip-off company. Even if you pay for a subscription to Hinge+ (which I did), it costs you $4 every time you want to message the decent people that meet your profile criteria. I would never have joined if I knew this. What it means is that far from you having a choice of who to message when you pay to join, Hinge craftily (and dishonestly) holds back the profiles you really want to contact. They say these are Standouts and you must purchase a $4 "rose" to contact each of them. What a total fraud. Beyond this here some other things you won't learn until you have forked over your membership fee (which is very very hard to cancel and get back btw):- if you reject a profile, Hinge will just recycle it and show it to you over and over again- the profiles have 6 photos and just three short pieces of text, hopelessly light on info - after you send a message to a profile, it disappears and you have no way to track this or know how many messages you have sent - initially, I received several Likes from obviously fake profiles that Hinge doesn't bother to weed out Overall, Hinge is by far the worst dating site or app I have used. It is also the most dishonest and misleading. You have been warned.
