Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Product Info and Rude Customer Service
I recently ordered Garage Door Rubber Side Seals from garagedoor-spares.com, and the experience was nothing short of horrendous.The size listed on the website was not what I received. When I contacted the seller (Richard) to explain the discrepancy, I was met with rudeness and complete disregard for customer service. Richard admitted the website had incorrect sizing information but insisted the size sent was “universal” and he's been doing this for 25 years. When I tried to explain that I wouldn’t have placed the order had I known this, he raised his voice, shouted “just send it back mate,” and hung up on me. After getting off the phone with me Richard amends the description on the website to match the size sent.This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I later checked Trustpilot and found numerous 1-star reviews echoing similar experiences. I regret not checking beforehand.I am extremely dissatisfied and this experience has made me reluctant to order from independent online sellers again. Stay clear of garagedoor-spares.com – poor product information and even worse customer service.

Giving 1 as 0 not available, parts were returned, guy was incredibly, and i mean incredibly rude, refused to believe i had returned the parts, accused me of trying to rip him off then hung up on me. I strongly advise you go somewhere else.

Honestly - do not deal with this absolute joker.He's rude and refuses to provide tracking information when asked - because he hasn't actually sent the items you've paid for...).Just don't buy anything from here unless you want to put money in an idiot's pocket.

Telephoned to enquire if they sold a replacement cable and pulley for my garage door. Spoke to (I assume from all the reviews above - Richard Sleightholme).After confirming he sold the parts I asked the price and before I could discuss placing an order the reply was “They’re pennies. Goodbye” and he hung up. Vile customer service from someone with absolutely no customer care or interpersonal skills whatsoever. AVOID there are companies who will respect you and your money. . You earn reviews and get back what you give.

Ordered parts for my Henderson garage door and then noticed lots of bad reviews. To say I was concerned was an understatement especially as I could not get anybody to answer the phone. As it is over the Christmas period I was prepared for a long wait to see if my order would appear. I should not have worried as my order arrived 3 days after placing it. Thank you so much. Only problem now is I was hoping to do nothing tomorrow but it looks.ike I’ve got myself a job to do.

Ok, I wanted only a replacement Hormann remote control and needed no personal contact. Item ordered on the Monday, shipped promptly and arrived on Friday.Appears to be the genuine OM, reprogrammed easily (instructions included and battery in place) and all is up and working. The item was less than half the cost of other sources so I am happy.

Avoid like the plague
Ordered some cables to repair my garage door. Cables never arrived. No reply to any correspondence. Thankfully used PayPal to pay for items so no issue getting my money back. If only I’d read the reviews first. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Inv 50406 - Sent two emails, made 6 calls since receiving a lock that's not suitable for my garage door. My mistake, but I'm not the lock expert and the GD UK website provides no spec/ product selection advice. Looking at Trustpilot reviews, which I really should have done before purchase, it 's clear that I need to cut my losses, list the unsuitable product on ebay and look for a lock elsewhere. How can someone like this be in business, taking people's money? Steer well clear

Placed order on Website for next day delivery,;got noconfirmation email. Only evidence of order was on PayPal. Called 6 times no answer. Only reply to asking was: 'where I had ordered.' After dealing with no GarGe door for ten days got part within 24 hours from Amazon. They lied to PayPal saying they had sent parts and called me a con. NEVER Necer Never trust this company.

Would not recommend. Tried to purchase garage door remotes. Was advised that although still showing on website to this day, could not supply items advertised so initially returned payment. When I phoned then for advice was instead offered alternative which might work with special price for two so paid direct by debit card. If did not work promised I could return for money back. They did not work, so followed their return procedure ,enclosed copy of payment advice and sent recorded delivery and sent emails advising packet was on way. After twice prompting received single email stating they could not find order. I then sent another copy of payment record then nothing and no refund..... They have since ignored me. Moral - do not deal direct with them unless using Credit card or via Ebay where disputes procedures protect small customers.

Dreadfull to deal with. Ordered parts online ok. Rang to find when order coming. Unbelievable response of, "Fed up with people ringing up to chase orders !!!", followed by phone being slammed down on me. Should have read reviews first before ordering. Order has now arrived, but will not give this "Wally" my custom again.

Wish I'd seen these reviews before using this company. Similar experience sadly. Unprofessional, liars and thieves sum them up! Don't send items on time, don't send the right items, terrible communication and then don't fully refund once you've had the hassle of returning.

I’ve had a similar experience to others who have posted here. The door opener and boom were out of stock even though being available to buy on the website. When I rang to find out my options he was rude and abrupt and put the phone down on me. He agreed by email that he would give me a refund but this didn’t materialise. I had to escalate to PayPal; he didn’t even bother engaging with this process and PayPal refunded my money.My suggestion would be to save yourself the aggravation and try elsewhere.

most obnoxious person I have even come across, parts missing from my order, no drama just wanted to get the parts ordered delivered, called up company on invoice to be asked what company I am ringing, I calmly said I’m just ringing the number on the invoice, that’s when he started on about what company and about my attitude, he then asked about what part is missing so I started to read out part details, off he goes again about my Attitude, he hangs up, I call back I get more abuse asked me if I want the part or not, get sworn at !! it turns into slanging match and hangs up again !all I wanted was the parts that I ordered no drama just wanted to let them know so they could send them out to me, I didn’t want to start my day with a slanging match, the attitude problem is with him, but if he’s running a business from a bungalow, then maybe does not care much about his customers

One star is about five too many for this company. Rude abusive man who put the phone down on me. That is no way to run a business. Garage Door Parts who were very helpful are now receiving my £181.00 order.

AVOID! AVOID! Very rude, ordered a garage door springs, they didn’t fit. Rang twice for a refund. When rang up after 3 weeks since I had returned the springs to get my money back. He hung up saying why do people order stuff and then return items???Customer service absolutely crap. They have fake reviews on their website.
