It's got a LOT of potential

It's got a LOT of potential, but it's a far cry from the Corel from decades ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. It's overseas from cultures that are misogynistic and hard to understand IF you can get through to a person. Other than that, it's all email, which NEVER addresses the issue and takes several WEEKS to resolve. I was NEVER able to get issues resolved with their support. I had to use ChatGPT and still couldn't get it to work. There is an incredibly limited amount of tutorials anywhere as a work around, too. So you're spending hours trying to figure it out all by yourself. Incredibly poor support. The products themselves? Well, I Painter is the one I was really excited to use, however it does NOT seem Windows 11 compatible. It would NEVER load. I had almost a month to cancel from purchase and used all but the last week just trying to get it to launch. Customer service was RUDE and non-existent. I had to use my money back guarantee. It was simply not usable. Draw I got because I have a Windows laptop, and Illustrator doesn't work well on it. Illustrator was also not budget friendly until I found that you CAN just get Illustrator and not the whole suite. Besides that, Adobe got into trouble with us artists a while back. With the price and wanting to give the once reigning but not underdog company a shot to take over where Adobe left off was intriguing. Draw does work, but there is a LOT of compatibility issues with top selling drawing tablets. You don't get full function with Huion tablets at all. A lot of the features are either missing or more clunky than Illustrator. In the end, it was the constantly having to learn work arounds, just not really in the same league as Adobe, and the absolute HORRIBLE customer service and tech support that made me cancel. After just under 2 years, I just can't anymore. I need something that either works, is easy to understand the training, or has excellent support. This has none of these, so really only for the experts who have the time to trade subscription costs for learning curves. I don't have that luxury. I need to create and hit deadlines. And not just cancel. I decided to just buy an iPad and looking into a Mac so I could run Illustrator. It's supposed to work on Windows and Adobe doesn't work as well on Windows (Fresco anyone? VERY limited use available). But, Illustrator already works the best on Apple products, so it seems counter intuitive to use a substandard program when Adobe is more affordable now and works without as many issues. Seriously, save yourself the hassle and and headaches and just go with the industry standard.

I bought CorelDRAW

I bought CorelDRAW! x6. Yes I know it is 10 yrs old but it works great. The problem started when I had to reinstall Windows. With that I had to reinstall CorelDraw x6. I had all my info, serial number so when it said i had x amount of days to activated i thought no problem, man that couldn't be further from the truth. I kept saying i needed a internet connection which i had. I sent in a support form and explained what happened (It was too late to call). Well the next morning I get this email from corel saying they no longer support that version and they do not do activation for it either. WTF!...i bought it, I paid them for product that I owned. To add insult to injury the rep offered 40% off the 2025 that they do support. That still would have cost me $322. I called support and got the same bs. No understanding, they just said that is the policy. So i went online and but coreldraw standard 2021. Installed and entered the serial witch was accepted but during the registration process received an error. I called Corel again and now they said they do not support corel 2021. This company is ripping people off and unfortunately they are in Canada so there is very little i can do about it. Just beware and if anyone has experienced the same please post.

I tried the 7-day free trial of Corel…

I tried the 7-day free trial of Corel Painter 2023 because I’ve heard many good things about the software itself, and I was genuinely interested in testing it. The program seemed promising and I was curious to explore it further. However, I ran into serious issues when trying to cancel the trial before it renewed. The system kept showing an error saying I had no active subscription, even though my account clearly displayed an active trial. I attempted to cancel multiple times without success.I contacted Corel/Alludo support through several channels, but responses were very slow and the chat disconnected after a long wait. As the trial approached its renewal date and I could not cancel it, I became concerned about the upcoming €400 charge. To be safe, I had to move funds out of my account and now may need to block my card to avoid an unwanted payment.I believe the software itself has potential, but the cancellation process and support experience were extremely stressful. I hope Corel/Alludo improves the trial management system and response times, so users can test the product without fear of unexpected charges.

Bad business decisions, anti-consumer practices

Years ago, Corel purchased another company's tool known as "Gravit Designer" and rebranded it as "Corel Vector". It was a fantastic, easy to use, browser based/PWA application for vector design.I used it before and during it being known as Corel Vector, it was a great learning tool, as well as a viable professional design tool. Then, this year, they have decided to sunset the tool.I now need to export many, many hours worth of work. Which would be easier if they opened the pro features up before they sunset the tool, but I am prevented from accessing these.I contacted support. Their solutions? They told me that they have given everyone pro access, sent me the URL for the app (cool, I'm not an idiot) and told me to use incognito mode (okay?) but the pop-ups to purchase the pro subscription for a tool they are shutting down still comes up. Massive oversight. They've basically just tried to drive people using the tool to subscribe to other tools under their product estate. No, engaging in anti-consumer practices like this does not drive me to want to purchase another one of your tools.

Corel has the absolute WORST tech…

Corel has the absolute WORST tech support ever. I have been to get Aftershot Pro 3 fixed for weeks and it is still not corrected. They are a joke. Stay away from Corel products at all costs. You are wasting your money as they do not offer to replace software that isn't working. No wonder that 99% of the reviews here are one star !!!

I purchased PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2019…

I purchased PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2019 from Corel and I needed to reinstall it. I went to my Corel Account and found that my previous purchases had disappeared. You have to download the application because it is not available on disc. The fact that my details have disappeared (making it impossible to reinstall the programme) suggest that I will have to purchase another app, but from a different company. When they resonded to my complaint they removed my purchases from the account and suggested I buy another product which I suspect will eventually disappear from my account so I have to buy another product. A dodgy company with no ethics, avoid

Corel Fails to Honor Written Commitments – A Cautionary Tale for Professionals

As a long-time CorelDRAW user, I am extremely disappointed with the way Corel has handled my case. My experience serves as a warning to professionals who rely on Corel products for their work. Here’s what happened:1. Initial Issue – CorelDRAW’s MacOS InstabilityAfter updating to macOS Sequoia, CorelDRAW became unusable, preventing me from saving or exporting files. Despite reaching out to Corel Support immediately, I was met with unhelpful responses, dismissive attitudes, and delays. In particular, a German support agent blamed Apple instead of providing real solutions.2. Corel’s Official Commitment – A Written PromiseAfter weeks of back-and-forth, Corel’s Technical Support Team Manager, Bhushan Groodoyal, personally assured me in a written email (dated October 2, 2024) that I would receive a free license for the 2025 CorelDRAW Graphics Suite desktop version as compensation for my troubles and expenses.3. Corel’s Breach of Trust – A Broken CommitmentWhen CorelDRAW 2025 was released, Corel refused to honor this written commitment. Instead, they only offered me a 365-day subscription, which is NOT what was promised. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this and pointing out the exact email where the commitment was made, Corel went silent and ignored my messages.4. Can Corel Be Trusted? This raises serious questions about Corel’s integrity as a company:• If Corel cannot honor its own written promises, how can customers trust them in the future?• If CorelDRAW already struggles with macOS updates, how will they handle future macOS versions?• If Corel avoids responsibility and ignores customers after making clear commitments, is this really a company worth investing in?Final Thought – A Warning for Potential BuyersIf you’re considering CorelDRAW, I strongly urge you to think twice. Companies that refuse to stand by their own commitments and ignore loyal customers do not deserve continued support. I have now moved to Adobe Illustrator, which, despite its own flaws, at least provides a level of reliability and professionalism that Corel has failed to demonstrate.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Process and policies are a nightmare to deal with. After trying out a product (PSP 2023) tried to get a refund issued as well within a '30 day money back guarantee'... little did I know... no online process works. And getting customer service to address the situation is somewhat frustrating... still don't know if I'll get my money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... EVER!!!!!!!

CorelDraw Cannot be Supported

CorelDraw is a capable graphic design and production app , yet the tech support guys are not able to support it. I breaks and fails a lot, you cant update it without a tech support call. Middle eastern support staff cant speak English so well. They don't follow up in any way that you can understand. Old versions are disabled by their own updates and nobody can help you fix it. This product is not supportable and will fail alot. Don't waste your money as there are products that have support and fictionality and allot cheaper

Horrible support

Their tech support is the absolute worst. They sent you a link to the same support page over and over via e-mail and never provided any real suggestions. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results."

Unstable - DO NOT BUY!

As part of work I have been using Corel for over 25 years. Unfortunately I have no choice but to use it. However, you do! I have so many gripes with Corel, but the main and biggest one, is that it is unstable. Once a file is anyway big, the programme crashes. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Cirel have stopped my Coreldraw 7.0 from workingnd have been…

I bought Coreldraw 7.0 and have been using it for quite a while. Unfortunately , it was an the computer that it was on became faulty. I tried reinstalling it on another computer but, although I have my serial number and a Coral account to prove I bought it legitimately, I can not get an access code to validate the product. Corel will not give me one, as they say they no longer support the product. But I do not want support, just the product that I paid for to work. What a rip off! Beware!

The product has too many bugs.

Corel VideoStudio has a mysterious bug that is over 3 years old and they do not have a solution. While burning an ISO you will get a message "Convert step got some problems." Their solution is to use VideoStudio MyDVD, but that also has a problem - you cannot create a custom menu template. A cryptic error appears and just shuts down. I feel like I paid for a bicycle with only one wheel... = (

Horror Service

As a lifetime customer of Coreldraw and the Corelsuite I did an incredible amount of work in Corel. Somewere between 2018 and 2021 the software became horrible slow. And this happened many time before with nearly every release of Corel. In update 1 or 2 that was always fixed. In version 2021 It was possible to get 1 fix, and all the rest where preserved for montly paying customers. My system seemed to "too old" and the ticket was closed. So I bought a new system. Now my system is too new. . . .so the ticket is closed again. And again by Simone. The only solution Corel provided was for me to buy a complete new version with a minor discount as replacement for the version that didn't work from day one.Version 2018 (and any other version for that) still works ok on any system. Corel has changed to a milking cow facility with just a fraction of what service they ever had.

COREL - A SCAM ORGANISATION

I bought a copy of Corel Paintshop, it doesn't work, a complete waste of money. The tutorials don't resemble reality, so they are worthless. The "support staff" are clearly well practised in distraction because it's clear they a) don't know how to support this product and b) know perfectly well that this product doesn't work. In short a Corel has took my money and conned me

I bought CoreI Painter purchased the full and…

I bought Cor"I purchased the full and upgraded version of Corel Painter, and now I'm unable to reinstall or activate it. This is despite the fact that the website promises I will own it forever. They are forcing me to upgrade when this version works perfectly for me. I love the software but am not happy my lifetime software is unusable. I just filed a complaint to the Canadian Government.
