Awful to set / configure
Oh Dear!What a pain in the butt setting Bitwig up in Linux. I downloaded the trial, spent about 2 hours faffing to simply play midi files using my ketron SD90 midi interface and through my Audient iD4 audio interface. I even used Google AI which was surprisingly knowledgeable about the Bitwig app,and great when using screen shots etc, but no joy. What i don't understand is why on earth is there no straightforward function to simply import midi files, as well as drag n drop (which did load midifiles but couldn't get them to work through my gear) I'm sticking with my old and trusted CAKEWALK SONAR - it works fine in Linux

Disappointing customer service – referred to eBay instead of real help
I have been using Bitwig Studio for years and accidentally purchased the wrong license code. The code was never redeemed, and I contacted Bitwig directly to find a solution. I explicitly did **not** ask for a refund, but simply requested to have the amount credited towards the correct upgrade and to pay the price difference.The response from Bitwig was very disappointing: instead of offering a customer-friendly solution, I was told to resell the unused license code privately on Facebook or eBay. For me, this means a clear loss in value and, in my opinion, is not a professional way to treat a long-standing customer.I find it unfortunate that a company so focused on creativity and community shows no goodwill in such an understandable case. From a manufacturer, I would expect more flexibility in handling licenses – not sending customers off to the second-hand market.

My choice of DAW
I don't like ableton but really love bitwig. It is a completely different beast! Can't wait to see version 5. I just resubscribed which I dropped after 4.3 and now I'm back.I can't say I like subscription plan but it is understandable. Not a big company but the project is huge. The one big advantage of Bitwig is sandboxing. I have lots of plugins and sometimes one of them fails when I'm in the flow but don't worry, just restart the plugin and it works!Thank you Bitwig.

THE BEST DAW OUT THERE
These guys are pushing the boundaries of the DAW's Era..I'll say this,, after being a reason vet for 8 years and the an Ableton vet for 10 years I then came across the greatest of them All, BITWIG Studios the finest DAW WoW,, Big Love To Baphometrix for bringing this hidden gem to our knowledge..... 🏆 🎖️🏅🧐
