At this price point, it is a great home cleaning appliance. People who complain failed to follow the instructions to allow the components to air dry for 24 hours. I’ve NEVER experience an odor problem because I followed the directions. Some people are just stupid. If you leave anything wet in a confined space of course you’ll get a smell. Follow the directions and enjoy the product.
My Bissell Hydrowave was dropped off at Bissell on 4 February 2026 for repair. An assessment fee of $38.50 was paid at the time. On 10 February I was advised that a fee of $123.50 would be payable for repairs. The issues were a warped clean tank, a faulty clean tank cap, damage to dirty tank and blocked tank [with pet fur which we don’t have].It was my understanding that I would be notified when the machine was repaired. I was not notified and attended Bissell on 23 February. The machine was handed over to me as repaired. I noticed that the clean water tank was missing altogether. It took the staff member quite some time to find a suitable tank. Eventually we left after the machine had been tested.
Here to say how helpful Bissell has been.I purchased a spin wave steam mop in Sept 2024 via Amazon. It stopped working less than a year later and they (Bissell) replaced the device easily in July 2025.Then in Feb 2026 the handle on the new device broke and a single call to the company got a new handle sent.
This was possibly the most frustrating purchasing process ever. The only reason I went through Bissell was because I had a credit from a product recall I had purchased on amazon. I will not be doing that again. I try to make a purchase on my phone with CONSTANT issues like it freezing, emptying my cart, and just going to a blank black page. Or even not allowing me to leave the home page! I added what I wanted in order to get free shipping which I noticed applied after I had $100 in the cart, and went to check out with still even more issues, got my 10% off as it was my first purchase, and was trying to get to payments when it completely started me over and I couldn’t add anything. Their chat was less than helpful telling me that none of what I was trying to do was possible when it clearly was because I did it! I tried on my desktop which worked better, and again, all my discounts worked….so why could was customer service gaslighting me?!
Received Powerforce Pet Shampoo Machine from The Good Guys. I find that, apparently, the Clean Water Tank Cap is MISSING from the machine. Impossible to use without this.After emailing Bissell, they send me the cap. The tank, with the cap screwed on, now does not fit on the machine. After emailing several times, attaching photos, they advise that the cap is already IN machine housing (it arrived like this) and I should try to get it out. It does not come out. They advise me to take this brand new, unused, machine to Mulgrave to be fixed but I have no way of getting it there. They then advise two options: return for ''repair'' or return and they will replace machine. If I can't take it to the Mulgrave location I would need to send it back AT MY OWN COST!!! No words.
I bought a Bissell pro pet 7 months ago since having it ive gone through 3 belts don't pick up nothing then while using it the handle pulled apart and now won't snap back on and had ruined my carpet I have a white carpet that now looks like crap I have yellowish blotches on my carpet and can't get any help from the company I will never ever buy any thing from this company again
I purchased a $200+ ProHeat 2X® Revolution® Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner for my home, which I bought less than three years ago. I specifically bought this machine about 1–2 years ago after noticing carpet wear and wanting something better than my old cleaner that wasn’t working well anymore.After purchasing it, I registered the warranty online with my purchase information. Now, only about 1–2 years later, the machine has issues, the belt won’t stay on, it smokes and smells like burning rubber when I install a new belt, and the bristles don’t spin even with brand-new belts. I’ve only used this cleaner a handful of times.When I tried to file a warranty claim, customer service refused to help without a receipt. I was never told I needed to keep my Walmart receipt after registering the warranty online. Realistically, who keeps receipts for years after submitting a warranty?Even worse, they told me the warranty for my unit expired in 2017, which makes absolutely no sense considering I purchased it between 2022–2024, and these machines are still being sold new today. That means I was either sold a product with an already expired warranty or their system is completely inaccurate.They also claimed I never entered a purchase date when I registered the warranty online.. which is simply not true. It honestly feels like their warranty process is designed to avoid honoring claims rather than helping customers.Between the lack of support, the confusion about warranty dates, and a product that barely lasted despite minimal use, this has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Right now, the warranty feels more like a scam than real customer protection.
I ordered a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser via Amazon about 10 months ago and honestly, the vacuum itself was life-changing. I’m allergic to dogs but grew up with them. Last year I finally got my own dog, and this vacuum completely removed my allergy symptoms. I genuinely wish I had discovered this product 15 years ago.Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.After only ~10 months of normal use, the charger cable started breaking apart. The copper wiring became exposed and today it actually started sparking. This is a serious safety issue.I contacted Bissell directly first. I sent a detailed email explaining how much I loved the product and asking for a simple replacement charger. I even mentioned that I regularly post about the vacuum on my dog’s Instagram (120k+ monthly views). Their response was cold and dismissive: no apology, no concern, just “contact Amazon, we can’t help.” Thanks Wendy. Meanwhile, on Bissell’s own website they sell every replacement part for this vacuum except the charger cable.Amazon then told me I must return the entire unit and wait up to 20 business days while they “inspect” it, even after explaining that the vacuum works perfectly and only the charger is faulty. If they can’t repair it, they’ll refund me.That refund doesn’t help, because I bought it on sale for €87 and the same model now costs €110+ elsewhere. So because of a failed charger, I’m expected to lose weeks of use and pay more to replace it.All of this over a cable.Between the poor-quality charger, Bissell’s refusal to help, and Amazon’s unreasonable warranty process, I’m done. I’ll also be sharing video of the sparking cable on Instagram and TikTok.Lost me as a customer. I’ll be looking at Shark instead.
I have had two machines both did not last long, difficult to purchase parts. One of my machines was sent for repair, they returned it stating it had been fixed, it hadn’t, same issue, contacted them again, the operator stated it would be replaced, i then received an email that it needed to be sent again for repair. Terrible warranty process, poor machines, poor customer service. I will not buy a bissell machine again if it was a £1. My advice is to avoid the over priced cheep manufactured machines, and a poor performing company.
Similar issue to what everyone else is sharing. I bought the ProHeat 2X Revolution Carpet Cleaner in October 2022 and have used it a few times a year, while keeping it well maintained, cleaned, etc. I took it out last week to use and it was completely dead. I called Bissell to troubleshoot but nothing worked, and when I asked about my warranty they told me that it was only for 2 years (even though the website says longer), and since I bought it on Amazon it didn't matter as it was Amazon's issue, not theirs. Amazon refuses to help since it's not their product, it's Bissell's. "So is there anything I can do?" I asked. "Not without money," the Bissell representative answered. Won't make the same mistake again.
ZERO STARS..THEY DO NOT HONOR WARRANTIES. Bought a Bissell Pet Symphony Vacuum/steam mop in May 2025, so it's 7 months old. When I put water in the tank it just leaks straight out. I use the Bissell liquid product that was RECOMMENDED and the label states for hard floors, I have hard ceramic tiles, I contacted them, and they WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY, saying I used the wrong product...I did not.... The agent said to take it to a repair shop, the repairers said that BISSELL don't supply them spare parts.I have just read their reviews on here and several other review sites and they accuse people of using wrong products (must be a standard response) in several of these reviews. The representative doesn't listen just talks over you repeating that I used the wrong product. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY AND NEVER EVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS unless you want to be very disappointed.
They had my email and my account and yet, they required me to give them a receipt. The product is defective and I had a one year warranty. Without the receipt, I can do nothing. Bad customer service and bad warranty. I purchased on their site and paid with a credit card.
I spent over $400 on this machine, and the lower hose broke almost immediately after the warranty expired. No vacuum repair shop will touch it, and Bissell refused to take responsibility or offer a real solution. This is unacceptable for a product at this price point. Save your money and avoid this brand
Power cleaner doesn’t do anything you just go backwards and forwards nothing get cleaned easier and more efficient to buy a hand cleaning product which is what I’ve had to do.

We missed the return window by 2 days due to Christmas. While we thought we would be covered by the Holiday Return policy, evidently our specific vacuum model did not qualify. Customer service would not budge, so now we're left eating $200.
Terrible experience. I purchased a bissel vaccum cleaner on 1st December and has not worked ever since it was delivered to me on 2nd December. Their customer care is terrible. They are only available on mails and if you call their helpline number, it just keeps ringing. They finally sent a courier to pick up the product on 13th December and the courier comes back to me on 16th December saying bissel has cancelled the order. I am now demanding a full refund for this and there is no response. Paid over ₹9000 odd and feel cheated. Would not recommend this product to anyone
I been buying bissell spin wave cleaners for years.Shame on me .Each cleaner breaks with in a year.
This is our family's third Crosswave rug cleaner. One of which was replaced under warranty. All for the same reason. The battery crapped out. I called Bissell on the warranty failure and they won't honor another replacement. These units are crap. Cheap and faulty battery that could have caused a fire. I bought a Hoover instead. Much better.
