I am an Amazon Prime Member and have invested a significant amount of time and money to create Playlist and own the music that matters most to me. Every Single T8me I open the app it makes me decline at a pay wall just to then not be able to listen to my Playlists or owned albums in order. The experience has degraded over time to the point where I cannot even tolerate it because it offers 0 value as is. As a Prime Member I pay plenty already, and Music used to be included without shuffle strong arming for me to pay. I have uninstalled the app, reduced my Amazon Prime reliance and considering leaving Amazon all together due to its leaching, price gouging, and negative impacts to earth and society.
Horrible all the way around. There is always a problem when trying to get into my account. I had to change my number so and of course it caused a bunch of problems I don't know what the mix-up is but they won't let me into my account they say it's not me it's not making any sense they pretty much told me I'm not me and there's no way for me to log in unless I open up a new account and get a different email address I'm not doing that. I've been a customer for a long time. Plus they're saying that my account wasn't very active well of course is not very active because you won't let me in it. It's just a big fat disappointment.
Havent had worse one please reconsider if you are thinking of paying full subscription, my playlists has been deleted 3 times by now all the songs just gone, not worth any money not even a penny.
Absolutely terrible. Sharky behaviour too, trying to sneak me a free trial then charge me. Avoid
Amazon prime music needs Help!!I can not tell you how annoying unlimited PM is. How can such an incredibly efficient company like Amazon foster such an unhinged and unnecessarily complicated App such Prime music. The only good thing about it is the sound quality. They seem very uncaring that they have such horrible reviews. Why cant they just copy of the other music apps. They just keep raising the price however, I have family and friends unlimited and now it's is up to $219 a year and it is still almost impossible to listen to the music that I want. It seems to know what music That I would prefer to listen to. All that I want is to listen to the music I want without all of the hassle!
I downloaded the app to my phone but gave up after a few days. I was trying to follow a podcast with several episodes but found the app impossible to navigate. At the end of one episode it does not move to the next one, instead starting a completely random one from another series.A search provides a list of chapters, but the chapter number cannot be seen on the phone screen. Can be used on a PC but a new. search is still required for ech chapter. I cannot believe that apps this clunky still exist in this day and age. The app does, however, offer endless opportunities to sign up to the Unlimited level. I am already paying for Amazon Prime so no thanks. One of the world's richest companies but they still want more; there really is never enough money for these people is there?
I really get annoyed with Amazon music. When a song comes on it can be very loud and I have to yell for Alexa to turn it down and other times a song comes on and it’s so low that I think Alexa turned off. They’re just not consistent! This happens every day!
So i spend £199.00 on a family deal only to find out my family cant get audio books just me. What a waste of money.
In theory, the ability to download files of music which I have purchased as CDs from Amazon, is good. I always prefer listening to CD on my home audio setup, but I find it convenient to have MP3 files just for use when away from home. However, the Amazon Music app is simply too frustrating to use, because tracks which should play in a particular order (e.g. the four movements of a symphony) are just randomly displayed on the app. Presumably I might be able to create a playlist to put them in order, but things get really silly if you have a work with many individual “songs” (an annoying term in itself!). What a faff!
Very poor quality selection
Amazon music has no ability to block artists/songs/stations/etc.This means that you can't block music by convicted pedofiles. (Rolf Harris/Gary Glitter/etc.)All their forum answers refuse to acknowledge this simple fact and just ignore the question. It's the same with all of their support options, even over the phone.I spoke to someone in their support centre who hung up on me rather than answer this question.
I cannot believe this music application. I am a prime subscriber. I always get a notification I am able enjoy music for free shuffle version. I downloaded to see how that work nope asking me to subscribe. So I did then playback error so right away I undone my payment. Cannot they make as one subscription for both.
Trying to downgrade or cancel Amazon Music has been an absolute nightmare. This is, without exaggeration, one of the most deliberately obstructive subscription systems I have ever encountered.Signing up is effortless. Cancelling or downgrading is a maze.Alexa tells you to use the appThe app tells you to use the websiteThe website sends you back to the appInstructions refer to settings, icons, and menus that simply do not existYou are sent in circles for hours. This is not a technical fault — it feels intentionally designed to frustrate customers into giving up so the subscription continues. We did not want to upgrade. We wanted to downgrade. After being passed endlessly between platforms, we now want to cancel completely — but Amazon makes even that unreasonably difficult.Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, cancelling a service should be clear, accessible, and proportionate. What Amazon Music provides is the opposite. A customer should be able to cancel a service in the same way it was taken out — especially when it was activated via Alexa. That option does not exist. The only reliable way to stop payments appears to be going directly to the bank — which should never be necessary for a legitimate subscription service. The service itself is poor value:Music repeats on loopsRequests for new or chart music are ignoredVoice commands are misunderstood or overriddenThe system plays what it wants, not what you ask forAdvertising continues despite requests to stop itFor a “family plan” costing nearly £20 per month (£240 per year), this is unacceptable. There are free alternatives that work better, respect user choice, and don’t trap customers in endless cancellation loops. The time wasted trying to cancel this service has been significant, stressful, and entirely unnecessary. No customer should have to spend hours navigating contradictory instructions just to stop paying for something they no longer want.As a result of this experience, we are cancelling all Amazon services, including Prime, Audible, and Music. Trust has been lost.My advice:Think very carefully before signing up to Amazon Music. Getting in is easy. Getting out is not.
Music always had trouble downloading
Best music player.
A pop-up keeps flashing up very quickly over the PLAY button to subscribe, which charges you £10.99 a month instantly. It is incredibly frustrating, and a really underhanded way to get you to subscribe. There needs to be a confirmation step before payment is taken, not a one-click pop-up.
Amazon music app really is terrible now. Amazon has ruined this app. what a shamei barely even use it anymore.
Not to be trusted.Offers 4 months free music. After clicking to accept. I was charged £10.99. Cannot stand AMAZON.
Albums and songs added to my library that I didn't add. I can't remove them. Not in app, in browser or on PC. They disappear then come back after a minute or two. Customer service completely unable to resolve. It's been over a year. So, I just asked them to completely clear my main profile, have now been waiting months.....contacted at least 6-7 times. Keep being told it will be done in 3-5 days. Still waiting.......
