BONES MIXED IN FOOD, DOG ALMOST DIED
I bought over $100 worth of "DOG Food" from the Maui location. Began feeding my dog small portions. Noticed he was constipated. Also immediately after notice that there were small hard shards of what I as informed were bones. The owner, Johnathan, claimed that the dogs convert the smallmsoft bones pieces into calcium. I have email's where he made these claims. He also said he feeds his 5 French bulldogs the same food. Upon our walk that evening my dog was clearly having trouble passing stool. The he started crying and went to the ground and I saw blood on his anus. I freaked out. Call the Central Maui 24 hour emergency vet and rushed him there asap. Upon arrival he started blowing out large quantities of blood and bone fragments in explosions of diarhea blood and bones.They were hard, NOT SOFT. The DR was very upset by the presence of so many bone fragments and I explained it was from the dog food, 808 Raw, she said "don't get me started on that place, too many, I've seen too many dogs injured by their product, cease using the food immediately." My dog was there for several hours explosive bloody diarrhea full of Bone fragments. He was crying everytime. He was in so much pain. They were making lacerations all throughout his digestive tract. He was still bleeding and passing bones pieces when I took him home. It continued for 2 days. He was so scared to use the bathroom that he would cry when I put on his leash. He barely ate anything. The recovery was 1 solid week but took almost 2 weeks till he was completely back to being himself again. I am outraged at their claims that it's FOR DOGSThis is my furBABY and that heartless lying snake almost killed him. I couldn't find an attorney in Hawaii who does animal law and injury attorneys won't sue on a dogs behalf. So the guy is basically getting away with it. I am going to have to take him to small claims court myself. Johnathon has since blocked me and stated in an email I am not to come near his store, I am not welcome there. He cost me at this point over $1000;dollars. The food, the vet visit, the medication to prevent him from getting infection from the cuts made by the bones in the 808 Raw dogfood he consummed. This guy Johnathon is a crook. He exploits the love of our dogs to get money for sub standard deadly mush then lies about it and gives false statements about the safety of the bones. My dog suffered so much for Johnathon Chong to make a $100 sale. I am furious and will not let this guy get away with harming dogs here on Maui, although he does have stores on Oahu and Big Island as well.I would like to see him put out of business.I want to prevent any other dogs from being harmed by Johnathon Chong and 808 RAW dog food company. He should be forced to pay restitution amd pain ans d suffering to the animals he has scarred DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANT OR THIS GUY. The Bones can kill your dog.The Dr report specifically listed BONE FRAGMENTS as the cause of his explosive painfull bloody diarhea..the Bones do not convert to calcium. This place deserves ZERO stars.
