They never, ever answer the phone.You leave a message on the answer phone but never get back to you.
Outstanding Customer Service.I would like to express my sincere thanks to Max who made buying a new car such an easy and pleasurable experience from start to finish. I reserved my car last Saturday and picked it up the following Friday, amazing. He kept me informed as to the whole process and explained everything in detail and nothing was too much trouble. After completing the sale he took me to the car and sat with me to advise on all the controls and set up profiles for me. He made sure I was fully comfortable with everything before he left and said any queries whatsoever to give him a call.He is an absolute asset to Tates, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, customer service skills were excellent, attentive, patient and made the whole process stress-free. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for an honest, knowledgeable, salesperson.The other Salesmen were also very friendly and helpful and I would most certainly return to Tates.Thank you all.
Very friendly and pleasant staff at the Portslade (Brighton) branch. Ordered a Hyundai Kona Hatchback in June 2025. Saw an example on the forecourt. Test drove it. Liked it very much. Collected a similar car a couple of weeks later. Great communication and good knowledge of the car when talking it all through with Max. Excellent service.
We bought a Kia Picanto on Monday from Tates at Pyecombe from Dan Fogg, who was very good. Excellent customer service skills, knew the car and was generally very nice to deal with, in fact we have just had a call from him now, to check everything was ok.We have not bought a car from this dealership before, but our experience has been very favourable and would consider again.
Recently got a quote for a 25000 mile service after waiting two hours for someone to answer the phone! They then quoted £656 !! I thought what ! Had it serviced at another recognised Suzuki dealer same service for £285, how can they just justify charging nearly £400 more for same service by Suzuki dealer technicians? Unbelievable clearly overcharging , I am awaiting an itemisation of their charges , have reported to Suzuki U.K. and motoring ombudsman still waiting for their itemisation of charges ! You may want to think again contact other dealers before using them!Very dissatisfied and disappointed, no wonder they are losing the Suzuki franchise.
My car was with Tates Peugeot in Crawley for 5 weeks. Although the issue was eventually resolved, I am not happy with the lack of communication. I had a week and half where there was no update and had to leave a message on voice mail! Can do better!!
I submitted a service request online and also via Tates Peugeot Crawley’s AI system. On both occasions I received an automated reply saying a member of the service team would be in touch to book me in – but nobody ever came back to me. Very disappointing. It makes me wonder if the lack of response is because I have the "Just Add Fuel" deal with Peugeot. Either way, this is poor service and not what I would expect from an authorised dealer.
From the moment I went in to drop my car off for a service I was treated with respect and everything was explained as to what was going on and my different choices etc going forward , I must say Morgan Bull was so very helpful ,professional and made my service visit so easy with updates during the Day , can’t speak highly enough of her efforts and also the whole Kia experience at Tates .
Have been trying to contact them re servicing my DS9 for over 2 weeks.I thought they must of closed down.Have left message after message not one response.Tried a different tack and called the sales dept and again not picking up or responding to messages.So the moral of the story is if you want to purchase or service a DS9 do not bother to call Tates.
From the start to finish of ordering my sons motability car, Callum at Tates helped with every step of the way. He helped to decide which car would best suit our needs. Callum kept me informed throughout the process to let me know how my order was progressing. Once the car had arrived, and was ready to be collected, he spent as much time as I needed getting to know and learn about the car.Thanks again for all your expertise and help.

Staff the most unhelpful and dissapointing, gave me the runaround for nothing! I needed help and travelled twice to them only to be faced with an unfriendly staff member who was curt and unwelcoming.

At Tates Citreon cars of Brighton we had a great deal of advice from Connor. He made it very enjoyable experience. He was in no rush and took his time in going through the working of our new car .I received a telephone call from Connor 4 days after to check everything was ok What a serviceThank you James and Connor for the fantastic service
Booked car in with Steve at Tates Citroen on old shoreham road in Portslade. I imediatley noticed that electrics for all lights were out on the entire back of car. To get fixed I had to pay £140 which I reluctantly agreed to as this problem never existed before I booked car in. After getting car back, electrics on back of car fixed, the electrics on driver window & wing screen mirrors are suddenly no longer working. Even though these worked fine before I booked them in, Steve said (without hesitation or even looking at it) that this is a coincidence and nothing to do with them (even though I explained that they have never had a fault before since I owned the car) and I have to pay another £140 to get it back in. This is appalling service and a blatant scam to get me to keep giving them money.
Hi . We had a brilliant experience with Teresa at Tates Peugout in Hove . Honestly she could not have been kinder or more helpful . She solved our problem even BEFORE the mechanics got involved. We are all totally sorted and so happy . And she made it clear if she couldn’t help she find help . She is amazing and a credit to your team !
I booked in for an electric fault repair. I didn't expect to have a laugh with Steve and it really made my day, both times when i dropped the car off and picked it up. Steve also saw an issue with the courtesy car which was supposed to be auto not manual but he sorted that out very quickly. His colleague and also my former colleague Joseph was also very helpful and professional and made sure i was happy with the courtesy car i was given. All in all, it seems like peugeot's customer service in every garage is outstanding so im really looking forward to my new car in March and being with peugeot with a lot more years to come!
I saw a used car on Auto trader and thought it was perfect for my son. We went along and saw the car which we test drove and decided to purchase on the same day. James was absolutely brilliant and so helpful. From sorting the resevation, to everything needing sorting before and at the collection of the car. He did not rush us at all and was very thorough on the day, also offering support after if needed.I would without a doubt reccomend and use this garage again in the future.
