I started buying from this seed company in 2024 and most of the seeds germinated. The zucchini didn’t and also the butternut squash didn’t. They replace them and they grew. Gave it another try this year. Same thing squashes did not grow, they replaced them and they grew , the oregano were weeds that grew. I think I’m not going to use this seed company anymore.

Beware! You won't recieve your order.
I have not received my order. When I contacted them, the order was all of a sudden being shipped. For the past 5 days the shipping tracker just shows a shipping label has been printed. I contacted them again to cancel order. Customer service says its been shipped all ready and she can't cancel it, but what I can do is refuse the package when it gets to me and once they receive the package back I would get a refund. Package tracker still says label printed. No seeds. No refund. Meanwhile, I have order from Bakers Creek twice and received both orders already. Supporting company's like this only reinforces their suspect business practices.

While I love supporting local/regional companies, and Pine Tree is super friendly and efficient, I am disappointed this year with the poor germination of many of the seeds. I am a very seasoned gardener, have all the grow lights, seed starter etc and buy from a few different companies. Can have up to 400 seedling starts. In years past, I found Pine Tree seeds had iffy germination, took a break from them and gave it a try last year: great germination. This year, Ugh. Disappointing

What a dissapointment
Ordered 10 packets of gold Marie OG seeds (50 seeds per packet). Out of 50 seeds only 12 sprouted (24%sprauted)- some of them weak and looking sick. When you look at seeds they look not well. Some are small and deformed, cracked and discolored. Will never buy again form them.

good seeds if you dont care when you get them. i ordered november 28 and its december 20 and still not received them as usual. they have a lot of problems with getting them sent for some reason. think i will buy from a more reliable company from now on.

No Half Runners
I ordered 5 packs of half runner seeds from Pinetree. There’s only 2-3 beans that came up out of a 40-50 foot row in our garden. I am very disappointed in them. I was looking so forward to having half runners this year to can. We stopped buying any locally in my town because every year we do the beans are very tough and can’t be eaten. Very very disappointed!!!

If I would have known that it was going to take weeks for my seeds to ship I would have not ordered. They say they're having delays due to COVID. I find it hard to believe that you would shut down or slow down seed sorting and distribution for COVID. Many places use COVID as an excuse to take their time on shipping. I will never order seeds from this website again.

I’ve ordered from Pinetree twice and find them to be decent. About 2 out of ~18 varieties I’ve ordered had poor germination but the others were good and true to type, with reasonable quantities per pack. Shipping time was a little slow but because of the covid rush that’s understandable. My biggest complaint is probably the shipping cost. Ordered seed potatoes and sweet potato slips for this year which I am looking forward to!

Few Seeds and BIG Price
I ordered several different types of seeds from Pinetree and was disappointed on everyone. First of all, there were "very" few seeds in a packet for a Big price and those didn't germinate well at all. The service was "Horrid". It took a month to get my seeds, so my peas were late right from the start.

I ordered seeds from Pinetree. When shipping was delayed by weeks, I requested to cancel the order. I was not upset because Covid was stopping most things. I told them that I was done planting, but would order next year. I sent several emails and left a voice-mail. Today I received an email saying my order had shipped. They totally ignored my requests. The seeds will not be good by next year, so it is just wasted money.

Buy Your Seeds From Another Company
On 4/14/20 I placed an order with Pinetree, my card was charged on that date. No legitimate company actually takes the charge till the order ships. It stays on hold and charges when it is shipped. On 4/29/20 I contacted them on the status of my order. They could not fill half of it and refunded the money for half the order. They told me the other half of my order would ship out the first week in May. On 5/6/20 I again contacted them to ask if my order was going to ship. I received 2 emails back, the 1st claimed my order was being packed and shipped. The 2nd email said my order shipped, it had a USPS tracking number and link to track. The tracking number is bogus along with the link. The number contained 31 digits, a USPS tracking number can only contain 22 digits. I have contacted them again through email, but they are not responding. On their Facebook page, I see other customers also have received bogus shipping, tracking emails. They also have had their cards charged at time of order and are not getting their orders. This is mail order fraud, it is not legitimate to take a charge till the order is filled and shipped. This company has had my money for almost 1 month. I have no seeds, and a bogus shipping email, with a bogus tracking link, and number. They are using the COVID-19 Virus as an excuse for their bad service and customer fraud. All seed companies are overwhelmed with orders this year and are short on staff, but they are getting their orders out. They are also not charging their customers till the order ships. In the time that I have been waiting for Pinetree to send or respond to me, I have been ordering from another seed company. I placed an order with this other company on 4/14/20 got those seeds in 2 weeks. Placed another order with them on 4/29/20 to replace the seeds Pinetree canceled on me, got those seeds on 5/5/20. Pinetree is clearly engaging in customer mail order fraud by the complaints on their Facebook page. Do not order from this company, order from another company. If my seeds are not here by the following midweek, I will be taking action against Pinetree. I will contact my bank to get my money back. I will file a complaint for mail order fraud with the BBB and my State Attorney General. There is no excuse for what Pinetree is doing to their customers, it is fraud!

I have to agree that the germination…
I have to agree that the germination rates are not up to par with these seeds. Typically inconsistent. I have watched the catalog grow and I wonder if the size of the business is now impacting quality. I used to order more from this company but found those issues problematic. I wonder if they are saving seed (for 1-3 yrs.) and selling that in the current year which could account for these issues. Also, they may be sourcing some of their seed from growers who do this and be unaware of it. I really love that one can order raw ingredients for body care and make more healthy products to use. In my mind, that would be a prime reason to order from this company. Might be useful to know how/where they source the seed they sell. Please note that these reviews also mine your data, including email lists and friends. Another problem, in my mind. If this review software or service is offered free to companies, then they are getting your data in return.
