Working with Tracy Silverman and his Strum Bowing Method, has been a wonderful experience. It has made me grow as a musician and expand my creativity and musical possibilities. I highly recommend it!
Violin is my second instrument. Guitar is my first. As I've tried to progress on violin, I've always thought, "if only I could use my bow as freely and rhythmically as I can use my pick." Strumbowing is the answer! The technique has been a breakthrough for me. It makes so much sense, and Tracy's teaching method is brilliant -- and fun.
I learned so much from the material available in this program. It was very affordable and easy to follow along at my own pace.
As a music educator, This program allowed me to learn new bowing techniques with a systematic approach and also allowed me to use my new stills and teach them to my students with confidence.
I am a fiddle player from Canada. I received formal training and had alot of great classes and workshops while growing up. I had no idea how to play along with modern music, chopping was wizardry and magical but in my mind I would not be able to do that. I didn’t know how to tackle it. I honestly felt at a loss and felt my music was as it was, and it was not gonna change at this point. I saw the ad to join SBGA and thought wow. What have I got to lose, nobody can groove like him that I know, and he says it is easy! Tracy and his team are the very best there is. Tracy will find a way to make it happen for you. He will walk through it, face to face and there is no questions that he doesn’t know. He will find out and get back to you or figure it out if he doesn’t. Zoom callsare just as good as being right there in person! His way of teaching is unlike any instructors you may have ever had. He gets to know you personally and gives you all the tools you need, to get where you need to be. He doesn’t pressure you, he works with you at your pace. When you message him or email him he always answered back as soon as he can. He is well worth your time and money if you’re serious about becoming a groovist that can jump into any genre and beat on this planet. His system works 100%. The materials and courses he has for you are fun, interactive, and personal! When you get it you will see it all in a different light. He will 100% bring your playing to a level you never thought possible. It really does work! He shows you a way to look at it that is the way you should have been taught in the first place. We all love the weekly group zoom call! We have a couple through the week. You learn so much, and we discuss anything we are working on. and if we’re playing somewhere, and are working on a song, Tracy or Johnathan will help us break down the song in realtime. It’s a lot of fun. It’s always a weekly highlight we all look forward too. You will love it I guarantee 200%. It’s a great feeling when you are surrounded by the best musicians on this earth. I recommend you check out all Tracy’s YouTube vids. As well as our other main instructor Johnathan H Warren. Diana Ladio as well! There are more instructors and they are all the best there is. :).

Tracy and everyone on the team are amazing! The initial Zoom interview to sign up was excellent with Jared asking many good questions about what I wanted to achieve and he made the process super easy. All the materials, (and there are a lot!) were readily available digitally. Tracy is super supportive, asks everyone about their issues, and added Zoom classes with replays that I found extremely helpful with my busy schedule. I also realized that there is a whole other 'world' out there of gigging violinists and found out about equipment and other components of set-ups that sometimes I am afraid to ask about. I found a commonality with everyone. Tracy made the atmosphere of his classes fun, focused on our needs and really wonderful! Carlann

As I continue to learn old-time fiddle, I hear more and more how strum bowing is fundamental to the style I'm working on. I'm also working on jazz violin, and again I find that the techniques that Tracy teaches help me to find a groove.I have recommended his work to many of my music buddies.

I have learned so much from Tracy Silverman’s Strum Bowing Academy. I’m currently enrolled in the level that includes monthly one-on-one lessons, and working with the teachers there has been a game-changer for me. Tracy himself is a wonderful mentor who has provided an incredible service to the string community.The improvement in my playing has been enormous—I even placed in my state’s fiddle contest!
