Not to be trusted. Never use them. They'll rip you off
Don't trust them. They are devious disgusting con artistsWe are disabled seniors. Booked though them for 4 adults 1 child return West Hampstead Thameslink to Gatwick for a train leaving after 6.00. 6.10 train is direct via East Croydon (the split point) and arrives 7.14. Paid £122.49 similar to most other split ticket companiesSplit Ticketing takes us to Clapham Junction on 6.44 which is Overground not Thameslink. Detrain, drag luggage at Clapham Junction and transfer to mainline Southern National Rail service on another platform, probably far away from the OvergroundYes This can all be fixed as they claim. We can take the 6.10 direct to Gatwick but National Rail will make a huge surcharge for changing the crazy route deliberately devised by Split ticketng. This incredible additional cost is £113.40Total cost by using Split Ticketing £235.89Booking with National Rail at their standard fares is £170.45

Website is a bag of spanners. It's so complicated to try and get a refund or cancel a ticket

Useless !Portsmouth Harbour station in…
Reached Portsmouth Harbour station in good time to catch the 0923. Tried to sort out a ticket using your website. Tried 3 times. It froze just after I had put in full payment details, 3 times! So missed the train, went to Trainline got my tickets on my phone in about 3 minutes and now about to catch the 1023! Awful.

You might pay double the price
Customer service is only available during set hours Monday through Friday. Accidentally typed my email in wrong (they don't ask for confirmation of email or review it or have a quick way to fix the problem). Because of their set hours, I was unable to get my booking sent to me again and had to pay for a new journey. Instead of saving money on a journey, I now have to pay double the price. Obviously a fault on my part but also a fault on the part of how the company's infrastructure is. Only partial refunds are issued for bought tickets.

Tickets booked but they don't make sure…
Tickets booked but they don't make sure you can keep the same seat for the whole journey. I'm going sheffield to cheltenham, I have to change carriages for my reserved seat at Burton on Trent because my ticket is split there. Surely they could ensure you are in the same seat for the whole trip

Better to avoid this website at any cost
Hi Never ever use this company ,it is only good company in ripping people off.I cancelled my tickets and rebook a new one with the same company and route just different time.Splittraintickets refused to issue the refund.Very rude customer service.

That they don't reimburse tickets
I used this company to obtain tickets for a trip to Scarborough/Leeds. The return journey from Scarborough involved having to use a bus, because the train had been cancelled. Split ticketing refused to reimburse us compensation for the train tickets. Also, the inconvenience and time spent travelling which involved an extra 1 and a half hours.

Tickets never arrived
Tickets never arrived. No email, no text message, no reference number, nothing. This is my first time using the site, and I will not use it again. Effectively just been robbed of £55. Do not recommend.

SOMETIMES THEY DON'T SEND YOUR TICKETS
I recently bought a split ticket return from Cambridge to Leicester for a good price. Split ticketing sent me the first e-ticket with no problems but did not send the second e-ticket, only the reference number. When I called the national rail helpline (split ticketing makes it almost impossible to contact them directly) I was advised to use the booking reference to print out the ticket, despite the fact that it was an e-ticket. That seemed fine, until I got to the station and the ticket printers told me my booking reference number literally didn't exist. In the end I had to buy a single, very expensive ticket back to Cambridge which cost way more than if I'd bought a return independently of splitticketing.com in the first place. I'm very frustrated as once again it's almost impossible to get in contact with anyone to sort this out. I've had many much more positive experiences with splitticketing.com in the past and would otherwise not have considered leaving such a bad review - if I could just get in contact with them to get a refund for the mistake they made! As it is, I cannot recommend this company because the experience I had was stressful and a massive waste of money.

A great way of saving
The website is unattractive not the easiest to manoeuvre around from a smart phone but they are a lot cheaper than Trainline. Some of the savings are only by a few pounds but every little bit helps and as someone who is a regular train traveller, this website has become my first port of call when searching for tickets. People shop around for insurance, why not train tickets? Do your research rather than going with the big obvious names and you may be mildly surprised.I have ordered tickets from this website a few times and never had any problems, my tickets have always been emailed to me straight away.

Great page to save on expensive train…
Great page to save on expensive train tickets! As the name says it will be splited tickets and will use various trains in order to get to your final destination.I have traveled with my 2 mates from London Euston to Wrexham. I had 3 tickets from London to Crewe, then 3 tickets from Crewe to Chester and then 3 tickets from Chester to Wrexham. On the way back 3 tickets from Wrexham to Chester, 3 tickets from Chester to Crewe, 3 tickets from Crewe to Northampton and 3 tickets from Northampton to London Euston. It was important to mention 3 tickets here and there, because it was literally 21 tickets! So obviously you have to be organized and keep them separately and show them for ticket inspection!Once booked ticket all what you have to do is go to your nearest train station and pick up tickets from ticket machine by inserting your debit/credit card, which you have used for booking!Should you book well in advance you will save more £ and make sure to not make any changes as that will make everything harder to fix around. On that particular return tickets we have paid £54 per person and not £95 which was showing on other booking pages.I took time to write this review as previous 2 guys must have their own issue of changing times last minute dot com or card problem.Looking forward for another trip booked in splitticket.com! :-)

Total lack of customer service
I have used this company many time before with no problems. But this time I booked 2 lots of tickets, opting to collect them at the station. Unfortunately, the card I used to pay with was compromised before I could do so. As this is needed to collect the tickets and the first trip is only a week away I am facing either buying new tickets or not travelling. (Either way losing about £180) The advice on the confirmation email is to telephone them immediately if there is a problem, though no number is provided. Having found one on the website, it is continually engaged. I have tried 3 different email addresses, one of which bounced back the message, one produced no response and the third generated an automatic message saying they would respond but it would take at least 5 working days i.e. After we should have departed. This site may save you a bit of money, but if anything goes wrong you are on your own and will end up spending far more than you thought you would save.

Con?
Similar to another review i have seen, my wife recently purchased family tickets for a journey, but was not sent a booking confirmation. The only contact details on the website for this company are an email address that does not exist!

Not worth the risk
Usually a completely fine experience, no issues: I have frequently bought tickets from this site at a really great price and never had a problem. However, I recently realised you cannot trust this site! Last time I bought tickets to collect at the station, the reference number given didn't work at all so I had to buy a brand new, insanely expensive ticket at the station. After trying to email them using the email address on the website, I realised the email was "undeliverable": I can only assume it's a fake email address. With no other way to contact them, and with them pocketing £50 from conning me, all I can say is DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE.
