I found the course after listening to Russian Made Easy
I found the course through listening to Russian Made Easy podcasts for free on Spotify; this is their much bigger and fuller course and I'm loving it. I've been trying to learn Russian on and off for decades and decided that this is the year that I get conversational. I've even completed the Russian course in Duolingo but still couldn't bring myself to speak a word.I'm tentatively talking already and so much more confident that this is taking me in the direction I need to go

As a language enthusiast
As a language enthusiast, I speak six other languages, and none of them are closely related to Russian, so I already expected Russian to be very difficult for me. However, this course provides literal translations and detailed explanations that you wouldn’t get from a conventional tutor.I’ve been serving in the military in Taiwan for a while, and my daily task before going to bed is to study Russian. Now, with just twelve lessons completed, I can even hold a simple conversation with my Russian friend.

Excellent Lessons to Learn Russian
I enjoy the lessons Mark structured for the course. The conversations feel more real compared to what I have learned in language apps. The course overall is worth the money. I still remember finishing the videos that teach you to read Cyrillic and thinking, 'woah I can read this!' I have also had to reach out to their customer service and they responded promptly in a professional manner and fixed the issue right away.Thank you to Mark and the Russian Accelerator team! Большое спасибо!

Amazing result so far and I was always useless at languages
I compare my experience learning Russian and Ukrainian with Russian Accelerator with my only previous serious language learning, Spanish. I am British and emphatically not good at learning languages. Even when I was living in Argentina it took me about five years before I found it reasonably easy to communicate in Spanish, even after ten years there I was far from fluent.Russian is a much harder language to tackle, especially as it has a different (Cyrillic) alphabet as well.Within a few weeks I am confident with reading Cyrillic and have no problem with the patterns in Russian (so far). My actual vocabulary learning is a bit slower (as it was with learning Spanish), but still much MUCH faster than when I took regular private lessons in Spanish.Even better, the Cyrillic reading course is free and so is the initial Russian Made Easy course (russianmadeeasy.com) , so you have the chance to see if their method suits you before you pay anything at all for the main Russian Accelerator or RMEplus courses. After only a few weeks, I met a native Russian-speaking Ukrainian who is a high level interpreter and she complimented me on my pronunciation! (THAT never happened when learning Spanish!)Russian Accelerator offer a money-back guarantee. Needless to say, I will not be asking for that. It's been brilliant so far, still hard work, but anything worthwhile is.I am cramming as much as possible before I return to Ukraine in a few months as a Humanitarian Aid Volunteer, confident that I will be far more helpful with some Russian and Ukrainian under my belt.

He cracked the code. Simply brilliant.
As an American I have studied Russian since 1999. I have lived and traveled in numerous Russian speaking countries worldwide and have many business, friends and family ties. Simply put, Russian is a royal b*tch to get right from an American viewpoint. I have tried numerous avenues from Russian professors to apps to AI. Myeh. I saw that the technology did not exist to adequately teach a foreign language. But I did see that there was a potential algorithm to learning a 2nd language and no one was using those key principals. Then I found Mark Thomson and his team. He figured it out. Radically different approach. I was gobsmacked. He answered questions no one could and was using the exact principles that were needed to teach an adult a foreign language. My skills have soared very quickly since then. My understanding of the structure of the language skyrocketed. Anomalies and grammar were finally explained in simple English. Funny, now when I look back I see that it would be virtually impossible to learn a language using those previous technologies. Simply brilliant. Thank you sir!!!

100% recommend
Brilliantly structured course with great support. It honestly surpassed my expectations. From absolutely zero knowledge in the language, I can't believe the progress I have made in the seven months that it took me to complete all lessons. I would 100% recommend this course to either beginners or learners who have struggled with Russian grammar before.

All pros, no cons
I have wanted to learn russian for a long time. I always had the drive, but couldn't get the hang of it just trying to build my own curriculum out of random videos online. This course is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It honestly feels more professional and well put together than a lot of online college courses. The staff is always available for questions you might have, and the homework keeps you focused and in the right direction. This course really breaks down the language to its bare bones, and then builds everything around that, making it super intuitive and natural. Great exercises, graphics, and pace. If you're trying to learn russian it's a no brainer.

It turns out I can learn a new language!!
I always thought I was bad at languages. I took three years of French in High School and didn't feel like I learned or retained much. With Russian Accelerator, I couldn't believe how much fun I was having while learning. I just completed the first course of 18 units, and I am excited to share that it made me able to converse at a beginner level with my new in-laws who are from Belarus. It has given me the confidence to strike up a conversation when I hear Russian speakers when I am out and about (there are many in the San Francisco Bay Area). The most useful tools in the class were the techniques like power phrases and pattern recognition. These helped me to learn without forcing me to memorize everything. Russian Accelerator explains things in a way that helps make sense of the language and the grammar. I am 100% satisfied with the course and will continue with the next level.

The russian accelerator is amazing
The russian accelerator is amazing. Makes it fun to study russian. Mark keeps it easy and explaining russian grammer the way an foreigner can understand. Also his podcasts: Russian Made Easy and Understanding spoken Russian is very good. I finished them first and that makes it easyer to keep up with the russian accelerator. And the support-team really helps you when you have some questions. Mark himself offen answers in minutes when you send him a question or a answer to one of the quizes in the Accelerator.I really believe it when he says that you will get fluent in russian in less than a year.

A Great and Fun Course That Actually Works
I just finished the Russian Accelerator course and highly recommend it. It was fun every single day since I started in October. The way Mark Thompson teaches is unique. Though context-learning is becoming more and more common in good language courses, I find the style of how they make students familiar with the complex Russian grammar just amazing. Kind of sneaking it up on you through the back door. And no one else ever told me that Russian grammar often RHYMES! My Russian-speaking friends are truly impressed! At the end of each lesson, you will find dozens of short video clips with real-life conversations from TV. Initially, you won’t understand barely anything, which might be somewhat discouraging, but this is on purpose. All in all, I think this is the best course available.

The real deal
If you've bounced around between various language learning systems and found yourself disappointed by gamified apps and courses that don't actually get you anywhere... this course is what you're looking for. The course is structured carefully and thoughtfully. I don't know the course designer's background in language education, but they've developed a method that really works for me. Each unit begins with a dialogue full of words you don't understand. By the end of the unit, you'll understand (and probably memorize) the dialogue, which drills the vocabulary into your brain in context with correct grammar.Grammar is taught bit-by-bit as you go with little jargon. At first I felt wary of this approach, because I am a grammar geek and I like to immediately learn all the conjugations, direct/indirect object constructions, etc.. But I do feel that this is a very user-friendly approach that teaches you the grammar in a natural way, as it becomes relevant, rather than overwhelming you with everything from the beginning.I'll often find myself rolling my eyes at some of the examples in the course, like the "power phrases" Mark invents to help you remember every word via a mnemonic, and the corny stock photos... but then when I'm in the thick of it, those very phrases and images I rolled my eyes at are the ones that help me recall the word I'm looking for. It's not silly if it works!I'm only a quarter of a way through the course, so take this all with a grain of salt. But I am learning Russian SO much faster than I was with any of the algorithm-driven systems like Duolingo.

This is the best Russian Language…
This is the best Russian Language learning course I have encountered. It is easy to follow. I first tried Russian Made Easy which is the same organisation. From there I choose to do this. Even though Russian is a very difficult language, the approach for this course is to make it easy to learn.

So grateful for these methods!
Of all the russian teaching courses, I have to thank this one as #1 by far for getting me to B1 level. Especially the strategy for mastering the grammar patterns is so smooth and not brain-grinding. Maybe my favorite is the media center! Talk about quality and quantity! I don’t regret paying the price, you get what you pay for and more if you really want to learn russian faster than taking 2 to 7 years

You’ve finally found it.
Best course. Nobody clarified grammar in my past year of studying like these guys just did 1 week ago. My communication changed instantly. My Russian speaking friends here were pumped after just 2 days. You think I’m paid to write this? No, it’s just that good. Shout out Mark and Gary who will personally email you back from Russian Accelerator about anything your learning. I could write more but I’m too pumped to get back to my current unit. If you’re on the fence - you’ll only be missing out if you don’t try the $1 21 day trial. This is the one.

Start speaking and understanding Russian from go!
I’ve taught the American accent to foreign born professionals for years and many of the skills I encouraged are seen in your teaching style. I have felt that my comprehension and speaking have jumped to another level and I’m just now starting unit 3!I apply all the suggestions and media listening. My flashcards are over 120 words and phrases. I have an audible book putting the 1000 most common words into sentences and I actually have a very basic idea of what the sentence means before they translate it to English. Just amazing!! Thanks again Ron

The Russian Accelerator Program
The Russian Accelerator Program has been of great benefit to me in my initial stages of learning Russian and now five years in I am still able to go back to review different concepts and materials. It is an efficient program that is simply laid out and easy to work with at one's own pace.

Learn Russian the SLT way
I started learning Russian and found Russian Accelerator. It has helped build my language skills so well, that when I went to Russia, I could read the signs and interact with native speakers. I have gone through the course 3 times now and every time I pick up another detail that I missed. One piece of advice, go slowly and speak out loud. Try to mimic the sounds. It’s easy in your head, but speaking out loud will make the difference and build your confidence. I’m glad I bought this program and would highly recommend it to everyone who wants to learn Russian.

This is a brilliant course
This is a brilliant course. I started with Russian Made Easy then got as far a Unit 13 in Russian Accelerator before heading off to Uzbekistan. From the moment I arrived in the airport I was reading Russian signs, asking officials where I would find my bike etc. Then I bargained down the taxi drivers for the trip to town. I was able to chat to people, particularly during a home stay, order food and buy things in shops. It is such a well taught course. At 68 I do find it hard to remember languages, but the way this is taught it just sticks in my mind.
