If you have the time and energy in life…
If you have the time and energy in life to waste buy a rainbird...major issues with the wifi connection. when you just simply want to stop a run, cause you left the car on the lawn, or you have already manually watered, or its a hot day, so you want to water all areas, give them a once over, the wifi connection to the controller wont simply work, it will stuff you around for hours, its like its got inbuild FUOFF 2.0 installed with it. So you revert to the manual hose and sprinkler anyway.... cause you dont need to be screwed around by the interface either... which itself takes a bit of learning. its nice to have the system automated, and linked into the water sensor, that partially works, but only if you like being screwed around many times a year. I just cant understand why with these products, they didnt give you an option to hardwire the internet connection, if you wanted to... had the system for years, wish I bought a different one.

Software Fatal and Costly Bug!!!
One day my Arc 620 Rain zBird controller stopped working. My plants were dying. I discovered my controller software needed to be updated. I did this and once again watering seemed to function. What I did not know was that there software had split my single waterings of from :30 to an hour into 8 active stations which watered for only two minutes. I’m watching expensive plants and trees die. When checking for function I would run a program, see the water turn on but not hang around to notice that everything turned off after 2 minutes. This is an appalling bug that has cost me a lot of money. If the software creates 6 stations that don’t exist that is the definition of a serious and costly bug. If I had been away, 15 years of planting would have been destroyed. Shame. Zero stars.

Good product and great customer service
We ordered this item along with 3 large Rain Bird kits and some tubing. It has all worked great and is installing as expected. 1 sprinkler head was not adjusting and spinning 360 degrees. Initially customer service wasn’t helpful but I believe it was a 1 off employee and their corporate customer service has come through with flying colors! They apologized, looked into the matter and handled it internally, and have not only replaced the defective item but gave us additional replacement items. We will definitely continue to support this product and customer service.

Rainbird timer
Bought 3 complete irrigation systems made by Rainbird to do a full garden and the timer’s plastic threaded nut to faucet split and failed in a few weeks, then another failed and another - so a design fault. Rainbird in good faith sent out new ones but for some unknown reason the label did not have my surname and so the package was misplaced. Rainbird would NOT send out further replacements. Jose in Customer service was quite good at getting replacement shame about the label!

Purchased a brand new Rain Bird timer…
Purchased a brand new Rain Bird timer and it failed within a week, caused a major leak and resulted in a $1,750 in monthly utility bill. The worst product ever. AVOID unless you want a big utility bill yourself.

Have a major issue! Forget it!!
If you have a major issue and they say we will get back to you, forget it. You are on your own. I called them approximately three times with the same issue. They were to escalate it and get back to me. I was told this on two different occasions and they never contacted me over phone or email. The issue still exists. They are the worst.

They only shipped part of my order. It was about 1/3 or what I ordered. When I contacted them, they said everything had been delivered.

Great customer service!
Twice in the last couple of years I have needed help on two different Rainbird systems and I called Customer Service. They answered and gave me the best help, I can’t say enough about the good help they give over the phone. Both times it solved the issue I was having. Thank you Rainbird!

Rainbird WPX - beware
Our WPX controller was installed new in August 2020 - It cost NZD495 + labour. Today none of the buttons operate deeming our whole irrigation system useless. Today the installer told us: “The WPX is notoriously unreliable & is not waterproof” I am furious at this advice & feel like I’ve been conned

I wish I would have read reviews before purchasing. I thought a company like Rain Bird would have their crap together. NOT! They will quote a delivery date when you order. Do not believe it! My order did not even ship until the day before it was due to arrive. When I contacted them they said that date is just an estimate. Nowhere did it say that is an estimate. I planned to install the day after the delivery date. They say it could be 5-10 days before I see the product. Such deception! I would have gone to a local retailer had I known. Do not buy from them. You have been warned.

Won't Let You Cancel Order
I bought the Rain Bird Planter Bed Spray-to-Drip Retrofit Kit for $301.91. After I purchased, I wondered if I saved any money by buying a kit instead of à la carte. I added all the individual components in the kit, and it was $100 cheaper to buy à la carte instead of the kit!I immediately contacted customer support to ask for the order to be cancelled because there was no option to cancel the order by myself. This was less than an hour after I had ordered. The company shipped my order anyways 9 hours after my cancellation order, and responded to cancellation request email two hours after they shipped the product and ELEVEN hours after my cancellation email to say they cannot cancel the order because it as already shipped.I checked my tracking order, and only the information was sent to FedEx but the item hadn't arrived to the FedEx facility yet. Now I have to pay out of my own pocket to ship the product back when they could have honored my cancellation request that I sent hours ago.What's even more suspicious is I opted for free shipping which estimated my order to arrive in two weeks. Instead I got next day delivery which they charge $60 for, and I highly suspect it's because they saw my cancellation email request so they quickly shipped my product out.Never trust a company that won't let you cancel your order! It's a scummy business move and I will never purchase another product from them again.

Purchased the Rain Bird training for…
Purchased the Rain Bird training for online certification. After many emails with the company, I was unable to view the modules. I tried at home and in the office. I tried on an iPad, laptop, phone, and desktop. When I asked for a refund, the company refused. I am unable to view the content, therefore I am unable to get certified. Very disappointed with the company.

Rain Bird ST8o WiFi 2.0…
Purchased Rain Bird ST8o WiFi 2.0 Controller to replace our aging Toro unit.At first, I was frustrated that I could not get it to connect to my WiFi.Fortunately, persistence pays off and I found Simon Bando Area Manager Rain Bird AU. He sorted me out in a couple of phone calls and now, with his expert assistance, I have it working perfectly. Does exactly what is meant to do and I am looking forward to years of easy irrigation management.

Rainbird controllers 100% failure within 18 months.
I live in Spain and had a professional landscape company install irrigation using 5 x Rainbird WPX programmers. One failed within a few months and was replaced under warranty. The others all failed during their second year, including the replacement....but were deemed out of warranty. 100% failure. I wrote to the Rainbird EU HQ complaining and didn't even receive a reply. One of their dealers in Spain, Viagua es acknowledges Rainbird controllers are unreliable and recommends he sell you other brands. "CURRENTLY WPX PROGRAMMERS ARE HAVING RELIABILITY PROBLEMSWe recommend this other programmer."Now, that is some product endorsement!
