I'm in the middle of Lingua Verna's level 2 Arabic course — these lessons are so practical! I'm able to understand quite a bit of what my wife and her mother are saying when they talk together, and sometimes I can even chime in! 😅 Highly recommended!
I am quite amazed how Lingua Verna has brought up my latent Arab skills as a "False beginner" with their structured approach. I really like that there videos are available online at all times which gives me a great deal of flexibility. Plus, with the convo groups you actually have the chance to practice with native speakers and other learners of your level weekly. So that means two sessions per week: one with new content, one practicing and applying what you learned. This really helps keeping it!
Excellent program! The curriculum is well designed, organized and divided into perfectly-sized chunks for each lesson. The instructors are all very friendly and helpful. All of the vocabulary and the cultural expressions are extremely practical and useful in everyday situations.
I grew up around Arabic, specifically Lebanese dialect, and understood way more than I could speak. Lot’s of other Arabic courses or Apps I tried teach formal Arabic, which was not really relevant to me. I’m so grateful that I found this Lingua Verna course! The teachers and other students make for a really comfortable and fun learning environment. The course is smartly structured, but also flexible. I’m held accountable for doing the work, which I need! I’m in Level 2 now and can read, write and say essential things. I highly recommend Lingua Verna. It’s been the push I needed to finally learn this beautiful language that is so central to my life.
This program is fantastic! It's exactly what I was looking for, not only to start building on the little Arabic I knew already but also to feel more comfortable speaking to others. The lessons are clear, organized and not overwhelming. The conversation groups allow you to practice with others who are also learning. Before taking the first level, I didnt know how to read arabic, 3 weeks later and I could. Alex and the team do an amazing job explaining all the rules and different soundings of the letters as well. The way the whole program is put together just makes sense. I'd recommend anyone who is interested in learning levantine arabic at all - even if its only at a basic level - to sign up for the first level. I wish I signed up years ago!
The method works. Lingua Verna has come up with a dual system for learning, with "plenary session" with teachers and all students of the same level, then smaller group discussions that help integrate notions studied throughout the week. The various asynchronous resources available are quite well done and I think what Lingua Verna does well is offer an ecosystem where you actually want to commit to learning and it doesn't become a chore.
Lingua Verna is the best for learning Levantine Arabic, if you want to sound like a native speaker, you must join this group. All instructors are extremely qualified and so personable, they cover a lot of material and I would highly recommend this platform! Alex and his team are the best!
My experience with Lingua Verna has been amazing so far. I'm currently in Level 3 Levantine Arabic and I'm so happy to have come so far in my reading and writing skills as well as my spoken conversational Arabic. I really always look forward to the weekly classes because the instructors are genuinely there to support and are invested in your learning. I look forward to the next level and feel truly grateful for this program.
Many of my family members speak Lebanese Arabic - and I've tried quite a few ways to learn so I can speak them in their first language. Lingua Verna is by far the most effective learning method I've tried - I'm on month 5 now and every week I'm able to say and understand more! Thank you!
Learning Arabic is incredibly important to me because I’ve always wanted to communicate freely with my grandma and my dad in their native tongue. Since joining this program I’ve been understanding more and more Arabic everyday. One of my favorite parts of the program is being able to practice in small groups weekly. I also appreciate the fact that the vocab introduced every week is relevant to everyday life, so I am able to communicate/practice with my family in an organic way. I would definitely recommend Lingua Verna to anyone who has tried and struggled with other programs in the past.

I cannot recommend Lingua Verna enough! My experience with them has been nothing short of transformative. Within 3 weeks I was reading, writing, and speaking in complete sentences. The curriculum is designed for fluency and accuracy, and you will have amazing instructors to guide you every step of the way, from conversation group lessons where you will be speaking with others on your same level to weekly lectures. If you need help and have questions, the instructors get back to you right away and are always there to help you. They are just as invested in you as their student as you are in their program.
As someone whose only exposure to this language was some of the basics in a college class I took over 15 years ago, I can say this program is truly beginner-friendly. Actually diving into learning Arabic has been a goal of mine ever since that college class, and I just hadn't found the right opportunity. I came across this class when someone a friend of mine follows on Instagram mentioned it in an reel. I've stuck with it because I really feel myself gaining an understanding of the structure and the beauty of the language. My instructor, Saeed, and the core groups of students I learn with weekly are also a huge draw. We practice and we have fun! Anyone who's interested in learning a new and beautiful language would benefit from this program. I have nothing but great things to say!
After struggling to learn Arabic for years, I can honestly say that Lingua Verna has been a game-changer. I tried four different instructors before discovering this program and made very little progress—I believed Arabic was just too hard to learn. Lingua Verna completely changed that.By starting with the alphabet and building a strong foundation, the program makes Arabic feel achievable from day one. The weekly videos, conversation classes, and review exercises are exceptionally well-structured, and there is also an option for private sessions. I especially love being exposed to the different Levantine dialects while still having the freedom to focus on the one that best matches my interests. I highly recommend Lingua Verna to anyone who is serious about finally learning Arabic.
This Arabic course from Lingua Verna is truly fantastic. Learning from books isn't doable for me, but these lessons are paced step-by-step, and you have the opportunity to practice twice a week with incredibly friendly teachers. Even if you're short on time, this course will get you far. Arabic is a beautiful and important language and with this course i will be able to talk with my in-laws.
I come from an Arabic background but have struggled finding a good tool to get me comfortable speaking the language. This course has challenged me and has made me more confident in my ability to speak Arabic with my relatives. Highly recommend.
An amazing program with even better teachers! Go at your own pace while being held accountable for your learning goals! Consistent review of vocab, focus on speaking (my main struggle) and even emphasis on regional dialects. Can't recommend enough.
