Fake(?) product reviews, gimmicky product
Update: The next section still applies, but I docked my score from 4/5 to 2/4 for what I assume are fake/curated product reviews. Here's why I think so- All reviews are positive (4/5 and 5/5 only).- Earliest reviews I found are from December 2019. What are the odds every single buyer in 5+ years liked products with massive caveats?- There isn't a single fresh review. Newest one I found is like half a year old.- They requested reviews on stuff I purchased, so I wrote them and none of them showed up (I waited some days). You can see my opinions/ratings mixed (see below).----------------------I'd rate the store 4/5 based on my purchasing experience. If they handled customs it would be 5/5, since custom processing (not the customs taxes, but the process to pay taxes) costs ~20Eur here. Handpicking reviews reviews is unacceptable to me. Either have them reflect people's real opinions or don't have them at all. Cherry-picking is lying by omission.----------------------That didn't reflect on my store rating, but I'm not too impressed with the product (4/10). I bought the key holder (Slayer titanium, which WILL scratch anything else in your pocket) and 4 inserts. There is some impressive craftsmanship there, but the overall design is... meh.Keybar itself lacks any sort of internal tension, so key tightness is controlled by screw torque. ~10$ chinese products have a little tension plate that pushes keys to 1 side. I also saw other products use spring. The actual organizers only works well with flat (low security) keys that are common in US. Most EU keys that are thicker, wider, longer in any dimension, even if they are flat. I managed to make 1 dual bit key work and I had to do some of DIY and waste a lot of space in the organizer to make it happen (i.e. now it has larger footprint).Nail file insert has semi sharp edges that can cut skin with fast motion and can also create ridges in the nails (cheap nail files sometimes have that problem too). Tweezers insert is literal garbage, as it's has fat end, is tip meeting is imprecise (thin hair ends slips right between). Pressing on it offers WAAY too much resistance given how short it is AND consider it comes out of the fat key organizer bit that will blocks comfortable grip.Bottle opener+utility knife combo comes with locking mechanism. Locking mechanism is impressive. Bottle opener is nice. Utility knife insert has some impressive engineering behind it. Sadly it's setup to be opened by pushing a protrusion, and I don't trust thas locking mechanism with a razor. I'm certain it will be opened by randomly shoving things into pocket within 2 years by cheer chance. Finally, no matter which key combos I used, and how I organized them, the footprint of keys is larger with Keybar and less convenient. Just for fun I tinkered with key combos I wouldn't use and it only starts approaching useful at 6+standard flat keys.
