I don’t think that there are many options other than Katzberg which can have such a large impact on your resume for the cost and time commitment of the program. It only took me around 10 hours to complete and will stay on my resume for a long time.
I got a katzberg institute certificate program with an emphasis because I was looking for something that would increase my chances of landing an internship. I learned some interesting things in my program.

Katzberg’s programs are really useful for your resumes and job applications, especially if you get one of their emphases. I got one and feel better about looking more qualified for internships, so that’s a big plus in my opinion.
I do feel like much of the actual course content was pretty basic but it is nice to be able to add something to my resume. Right now, my application materials are not as complete as they could be, so I might even take another certification from Katzberg to just give myself more opportunities to stand out to employers.
My experience with the Katzberg Institute was really good. I am interested in boosting my resume and cover letters however I can, so I like having things other than my college curriculum to mention. I would incentivize people who are interested in a particular industry to take an emphasis with Katzberg as those are especially useful in situations where an industry might be hard to break into.

Katzberg is great for students who feel like they are struggling to get noticed on job applications. I think it makes my resume look way more tailored and applicable to jobs in the field I want to work in after graduation.
I liked the course content and learned some new things but maybe just wish it was a little bit more in depth. Even still, I think it was a good use of my time. I am looking to enter a particular industry so I do think getting the emphasis with my certificate program will make a meaningful difference.
Katzberg is one of the few programs that actually feels like it was designed with students in mind. The certification is something I can point to on my resume and cover letters, but more than that, it gives me something to talk about at career fairs and in interviews. I’m a first-generation student, and I don’t have the time or connections to land multiple internships. Katzberg lets me still show initiative and industry knowledge, which I think really matters to employers. For the cost, the value is incredible, and I plan on keeping this certification on my resume for years.
Keeping in mind that it’s supposed to be an addition to your college coursework, I think that my Katzberg Institute certificate is incredibly useful. It is really nice to be able to learn some new skills while adding coursework to my educational experience.
Overall a good experience. The coursework itself wasn’t overly challenging, but honestly I liked that it was manageable on top of my regular school load. The real value for me is how it looks in my application materials. I’m not sure it will be a game changer by itself, but as one more piece of evidence that I’ve gone beyond the basics, I think it will make a difference when employers are reviewing resumes.
The program I got with Katzberg did give me something to add to my resume that has given it some more depth. A lot of students only list their major and maybe a couple of classes on it, but I can point to something more specific which shows recruiters that I am not like every other applicant with the same major. Overall not bad, I just wish the content was a little more challenging.
