I recently purchased a 2025 Nissan…
I recently purchased a 2025 Nissan Rogue with 11,000 miles from your Bonita Springs location, at the time of purchase I was given a clean vehicle history report with no mechanical issues and a one year power train warranty, at 12,000 miles I had a major issue with the flywheel assembly. I had the vehicle towed to Naples Nissan, Naples Florida. It was then that I was told it had a replacement transmission and other drivetrain issues starting at 3,000 miles, I was never told this by the sales person or sales manager, when I filed a claim with your warranty company I was denied. When I spoke with the sales manager at Bonita Springs she denied having knowledge of the real vehicle history and basically told me I was on my own for the cost of the repair if Nissan would not honor their warranty. Because of my troubles with your practice of not providing the proper vehicle disclosure I cannot and will not recommend or purchase another vehicle from Hertz again and my next move is to notify the state of Florida Division of Consumer Affaires to file an official complaint against Hertz Car sales Bonita Beach , Florida, Respectfully Steven Batchelor 508-574-9454

I wish I could tell you we had a good experience buying a car from Hertz, but I can’t. We were ready to sign and pay, but never got the opportunity because we were abandoned at the sales person‘s desk for nearly half an hour. There were at least two managers of finance guy and six sales people in the Riverside dealership while we were there and no one came to check on us including our sales person, who totally left us alone while she was supposedly getting some more information for us. SO instead of writing a ckeck, we left after nearly 30 mins of just sitting alone.... I have been around and worked for used car dealerships for over 30 years and i know how things work... and this was the worst customer service i've ever seen or experienced.. I’m sure their cars are great, but their customer service sucks, and we will never buy a car from...

Went to Hertz in Des Plaines
Went to Hertz in Des Plaines, Illinois today to buy a new car. From the first phone call and our back to back texts, I knew Andrew was my guy. When I arrived, he was awesome. Patient, helpful, and truly went above and beyond anything I have experienced with a car salesperson in my 56 years. The entire staff was wonderful and very supportive. I strongly recommend Hertz for your next car purchase. Thank you, Andrew.

Purchased twice, will do it again!
First purchase was a 2019 in 2020, Versa in Orlando. Process was seemless. We just purchased a 2024 Rogue from their Clearwater office, very happy. Sales team really friendly; they go out of their way to make sure you are happy with your choice.

Good purchase - Bad followup
Good experience purchasing a 2023 Chevy Malibu. However, after 3 weeks the vehicle went into reduced power mode. Long story short, the issue is not covered either by Chevrolet or Hertz warranties. When Chevy dealer first inspected the car they said the oil was “dark and dirty”. Hertz manager claims oil was changed during 115 point inspection prior to the sale but they have no records of car being serviced. $1,300 later, including $118 for an oil change I wonder who we should believe - Hertz or Chevy? Hertz Sales Manager says they can’t do anything for us - not even cover the cost of oil change! As a Hertz employee I am not happy with Hertz Car Sales.

I bought a car from Hertz Car Sales…
I bought a car from Hertz Car Sales Orlando this past August. I had the car delivered to Phoenix Arizona where it developed a problem. The salesman Adrian Perez stepped up and solved the problem getting the auto mfg. and Hertz together to solve the problem. The guy is not only a great salesman, but is an advocate for the customer. Go through someone else.
We reserved a car and paid for it in Aug so it would be ready for October, two months in advance. A few days before, I tried calling. The number kept going to voicemail. When we showed up DURING BUSINESS HOURS, they said they were closed and wouldn't help us. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR WITH CONFERMATION NUMBER IN HAND!!!

Disappointing
Wanted to buy a car through the Rent2Buy option, that is: rent it for 3 days, get the car checked out and get the rent waived if you buy the car. I made a reservation for the car for a couple of days after the first available date, got a confirmation but then heard nothing while the reserved date was approaching. I called and heard the car wouldn't be ready on the reserved date. They couldn't say when it would be ready. So I cancelled the appointment I had made for the pre purchase inspection. Then all of a sudden, the car IS ready on the reserved date. I was lucky my mechanic still had availability within the three days timeframe. When I arrive at the rental location, there apparently still is a hold on the car. It took several phone calls to get this removed. In the meantime we filled out the paperwork to rent the car and then finally we got to take the car with us. When arriving home (only then unfortunately), I notice that the car -all wheel drive- is delivered with unmatched tires: potentially harmful for the drivetrain. Since there are no maintenance or service logs, it's not clear for how long this has been. The 'no haggle' price of the car was in line with KBB value for year & mileage. However, for that price I was expecting a functioning car; not a car that needs four new tires right away. I addressed this with Hertz and was told to expect a call back within a couple of hours. That didn't happen. I called back again and asked to speak to higher level. Although promised, this did not happen either. The level of unresponsiveness made me return the car and take my loss with the car rent. Bad experience. At least take a good look at the car before you even rent it and try to get everything done at the same location you're renting from. We rented from El Paso and had to do business with Hertz Car Sales in Bedford while I was told to discuss the tire issue with 'corporate'. Too many layers.

Still waiting after 5 months for a refund
I bought a car from the Riverside office 0in February and have no problem with the car or the sale.I also purchased an extended warranty, but the next day, on reflection, I decided it wasn't worth it and so I enquired about cancelling it. I was told there would be no problem and so I went along and filled out the cancellation form. I was told the refund may take some time as it could only be arranged by 'Corporate headquarters'.I am still waiting and every time I call to talk to a manager, they are always in a meeting or with a customer. I am promised they will call back. They never have. Nobody has ever returned my calls despite all the promises. My next action I think will be to consult a lawyer.Be careful buying here.

Beware of Hertz car sales
Beware of Hertz car sales! I purchased a vehicle from Hertz only a couple months ago. I started having issues with the car right away, and our mechanic found that some electrical wires above fuel pump were damaged in such way that the vehicle could go up in flames at any time. Now Hertz denies responsibility!

I purchased a Bronco on May 17
I purchased a Bronco on May 17, 2025. All went well and I was happy, until I found that the car had mismatched tires. Goodyear in the front, Continental in the rear. I sent an email with information. It was unanswered. I called the salesman, no return call. I finally got him on the phone and he said he would speak to the manager. Nothing.I decided to write to cooperate. They didn't read the email and thought it was a rental. I responded. They wrote back and said to contact Hertz in Richmond, VA. I responded telling them I had tried three times and to please read the email. Now, everything is silent. I will not buy from Hertz again. My last car was from Enterprise (I wish they had what I wanted), they were responsive. Hertz is not! Here's what the industry states about mismatched tires:Uneven Tread Wear:Mixing tires with different sizes, tread patterns, or load indices can cause uneven weight distribution, leading to faster wear on some tires compared to others. Poor Handling: Mismatched tires can negatively impact a car's handling and braking performance. The different tires may have different grip levels, causing the car to feel unstable or unpredictable in turns or during braking, especially in emergency situations. Drivetrain Damage (AWD/4WD): In all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles, mismatched tires can put extra strain on the drivetrain, potentially leading to damage to the transfer case, differentials, or other components. Tire Rotations: Mismatched tires can make tire rotations more difficult or impossible, further contributing to uneven wear.

BE CAREFUL- NOT RELIABLE
BE CAREFUL! This company is not trustworthy. I saw a car rent to buy. It was listed for a price. When i entered my credit card details and booked the car for rent the price was still there but when I received the email with the confirmation for the rental to buy the price went up over $2600. Despite sending print screens of the car with the listing price and everything they required me to, they did not honor the price.

This company sold a car in an unethical…
This company sold a car in an unethical manner. I had major problems within 6 months of my purchase. After further investigation it was found by a certified dealer that a major OEM part was removed on the vehicle and not disclosed. The part would have been covered under warranty had the part been the original. Hertz would do nothing to correct the issue nor take responsibility. The General Manager and Corporate levels basically told us it was to bad. We will never consider a vehicle from Hertz again and will continue to tell others of this shady company.

Have been waiting for 6 weeks for…
Have been waiting for 6 weeks for plates. Went into store to get another temp tag as mine was set to expire and I was going out of town. They promised they would email to me and never did. Returned back from trip and now driving on expired tags. Once you make the purchase NO ONE will answer phone calls, texts or emails, at either the store or at corporate. You are on your own. Buy at your own risk.

Cant get title, plates or registration
I have been waiting over 2 months for the Richmond Virginia Hertz Car Sales to send NY DMV the paperwork for the registration, plates and title. 2 temporary plates have expired and I still don't have them. I also can't drive the car right now because the 2nd temporary plates expired. They told me they would send me a 3rd set but I still haven't received them. I call there and if they answer the phone, I get platitudes but no results. I am beginning to believe there is some sort of scam. I have the car and they have their money.

Beware the hidden $699 fee!
Though this experience is based on the Charlotte, NC Hartz Car Sales location, the main issue is undoubtedly nationwide. The prices on their website are very competitive. When you arrive at the location, though, you find that every vehicle carries a $699 mandatory fee for documentation and paperwork. On the website there is a statement at the bottom: "Advertised prices exclude all taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, finance charge, dealer document processing charge, and any emission testing charge". This is in small print at the bottom of the webpage. The salesperson said that this fee applies to every purchase, with no exceptions. Of course they can charge whatever fees they want, but this fee should be prominently displayed on every webpage and mentioned if a prospective purchaser calls the office (it wasn't). The rest of our experience was satisfactory, but a surprise $699 expense soured the whole thing.

Regarding Salt Lake City Hertz car…
Regarding Salt Lake City Hertz car sales and the entire corp business model scheme.—From the bs certified 116 pt vehicle inspection which I was promised and all vehicles supposed to come with, mine was post dated, mileage incorrect, performed by a detail shop that charged 35.00 to fill out the form. Tires were low, oil was 3/4 inch over full line, and entire form obviously pencil whipped after I asked for it.Had to take to a dealer when I got home, had manuf. recall, oil needed changed and to proper level , tires unsafe pressure, another 400.00 out of pocket— lied about extended warranty purchased (said 9 yrs but gave 7) —1/8 tank of gas and sent 400 mile back to home after saying they would fill after discussion with manager.-No floor mats, told to look in back.-No service records and they can’t get them-Discussions w GM up to executive managers all recognizing the above circumstances, even said they would work out fair compensation (never did a thing except ignore in the end.I was a 20yr Hertz Presidents Circle customer and spent 10-15K a year on rentals and this is the garbage business model they inflict on everyone. Imagine if you walk in off the street! Downright hideous business, period! Thanks Hertz GM and executive Mark Brown for nothing!

I made an appoint at Hertz Car Sales of Lynn, MA. When I arrive, they have another appointment for the same hour. I have a dialog with the customer services about my appointment and arguing that I should see the car according to my appointment, but he was rude, showing me the door to get out and telling me "That he did not have the patience to deal with peoples on that day"
