Placed order weeks and weeks ago…

Placed order weeks and weeks ago nothing received and despite many email requests for information never once have they replied. Only spent just over £20 but when you are over 80 that can be quite a lot! If only they had the decency to come back to me. Just avoid!

Missing colour in set!

My fruit salad petunia plants for my hanging baskets, contained no yellow petunias, only red and white. My basket looks like strawberries and cream instead. Whilst it looks okay, it's turned out not as expected.

My husband bought 110.90 plants end of…

My husband bought 110.90 plants end of February from this company they arrived in bad condition, he replanted carefully but they all died, because it was outside if there 30 day policy they would not refund or replace considering we have been a customer for quite a few years I thought they might make a goodwill gesture but to no avail, take a tip and buy from your local garden centre at least you can see what your getting before you purchase.Avoid Avoid Avoid.

slow delivery - no updates

I put my order in on 10th April, by 7th May nothing had arrived so rang to chase order – advisor apologised said everything was now available would be with me in a few days but couldn’t say which day. In fact my order arrived with Yodel on Monday 13th May without any warning of actual date/ time - luckily I was in. But part of my order was missing. I was not made aware of this at all and I complained by email - and they have now refunded. Remaining plants look OK - but I will not shop with them again - very slow and no useful updates about delivery. Although they have been email me marketing emails every day.

There is no guarantee unless you pay extra.

All 5 of the plants I bought died even though I had them professionally planted and put burlap around them for the winter. They were unwilling to replace, refund or credit the $350 I spend. All nurseries I have ever dealt with do one of the three. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GARDENING DIRECT!

Very disappointed- will not buy from them again

A number of plants were dead on arrival. I contacted customer services who arranged a replacement order. Unfortunately, the order took over two months to arrive. Customer services were actually prompt in their contact. However, the recent contact person did not a positive promotion for their business and, therefore ,I will not be using this company again. The surviving plants are not brilliant, but still alive !

2 of 3 Dead plants

I received my order. Two of three dead plants. Planted them anyway hoping they would bounce back. Kept them watered. Nothing. Dead. I contacted customer service, Robin. Sorry, you did not purchase one year warranty. Here is what I think. If you Don't buy warranty, they find dead plants in the nursery send them to out. Customer service is terrible. Takes days for them to respond.Last time for me.

Not the same anymore .

Always had my bedding plants from this family run business in Jersey,strong and healthy, value for money and free P/P .But all that changed when they were taken over by a larger company. Prices nearly doubled,offered less in quantity and no free P/P.The quality of the plants also seems to have deteriorated as well. Avoid this company.

Do not buy from this company

I am appalled with the service of this company. Do not buy off this company. I was delivered faulty items, which were promised to be delivered before I had arranged for the joiner to put up the summerhouse. They were not delivered till a week after which was no use as I had the summer house put up so had to be sent back. The summer house is not fit for use. The doors don’t open and close properly, the windows almost fall apart if they are opened, massive gaps in the doors allowing rain in, the floor was unstirdy so had to put laminate over it, then the company just fob me off saying it’s not been fitted right. Do not buy from this company I have wasted my money and now have to pay for new windows and doors. I use this for a business and all my clients can see what bad quality this summer house is.

I placed an order over 4 weeks ago they have cashed my cheque still no plants I email but no reply ,I am planning to go to trading standards, it that or be £100 down ,so disgusted,.And to think I was sent Thier site via gardeners world not a good advert

Do not buy from this company

In years past I have bought from this company without any problems. I suspect they have been taken over or operate under different management.My order arrived within the time frame advertised, but the plants were a disgrace. Some had been badly damaged in transit, but the principal issue was the size of these so called "garden ready " plants. They were so small, nowhere near the size they advertise on their web site.One geranium was just 50mm from the tip of it`s root to the highest leaf.Despite phone calls and emails, with photographs, it was a week before I got any positive response.Their customer service telephone is manned by people not connected with the business, just an external call centre.Eventually someone agreed to replace these plants. But by then I was due to be away. Delivery was arranged to be after June 22nd, but it took until July7th before just part of the order was delivered and this only after further telephone calls and emails threatening to just cancel the order and get a refund.Do not deal with this company, if you do, you know what to expect.

Very disappointing experience - would not buy from again

This was my first purchase through Gardening Direct - I purchased 12 plants in total - 3 varieties of Osteospermum to fill a nice gap in my garden. They all had a 7 to 10 day delivery window detailed on the confirmation email. 2 weeks later I still had no confirmation of delivery dates and had to chase them up. They told me that 1 item was delayed coming in but the order should be dispatched soon. 4 days later I then receive an email stating that just one of the varieties has been dispatched. When the delivery of this one variety arrives, it is not the one detailed on the email confirmation and so I'm left wondering where the other two parts of the delivery are.Hearing nothing else, I then query this and am told that the variety that they were waiting to come in which delayed the order initially and which I was promised was now in, was in fact still out of stock and so they offered me a refund. No options given to pick another plant or wait for it to come back in stock. There was also still no sign of the third variety either.I wait a week and still no sign of the other variety and so I chase them up yet again. I'm then told that "there was an issue with transit of the product". No other explanation, no offer to resend the plants out, no apology for them not informing me earlier, just another offer of a refund which I'm still waiting on.I emailed back to express my unhappiness - I ordered 12 plants of three different colours and ended up with just 3 of the same colour, not nearly enough to fill my garden space. I was hoping they would offer a gesture of good will such as returning the three to swap for something else or offer a refund. However they completely ignored my email which I found very insulting as a new customer. This is a terrible company. They promise stock and then can't deliver, their communication and customer service standards are awful. I would warn anyone to think twice before going with them. It's more hassle than it's worth.

Very very bad

Very very bad, the first order took ages and they all died, 2nd order took over a month and one lot of plants didn’t come with the order, they didn’t have any, and never informed me! I had to ring them. The other lot of flowers, one died and the others are struggling!!I would advise not to use this company, they are terrible, customer service is bad, they never inform you of what’s going on, their plants just die, Don't Use this Company if you are expecting to have a nice display of plants.

Ordered a delivery for a group of…

Ordered a delivery for a group of gardeners, wish i hadn't bothered. Complete waste of money, plants delivered late, most of the plants have not grown on. Only half of Begonias i ordered have developed and the wrong colour to that ordered. Will shop local in future.

As per previous reviews

As per previous reviews - placed order when they had a promotion on, no updates for almost three weeks and when I rang was told they do not have the item in stock and will not be getting it in. I asked why they had not informed me of this and were just sitting on my money in the meantime, no answer. I wonder if they ever had stock of the promotion items on the first place! Seems disorganized and inefficient.

Very poor customer service and the phone is never answered, good at taking your money but useless if there is a problem with your order, numerous unanswered e-mails will never recommend or buy again wasted £50 on this company very disappointed wanted the jubilee hanging baskets ready for the celebrations

Absolute disgrace really wish I had…

Absolute disgrace really wish I had seen reviews before ordering otherwise would have not bothered placed a order on the 30/4/2022 to be told will be with you in 10 days to have nothing turn up to phone back talk to customer service to say they have only just come into stock will send them right out to then wait another 10 days for nothing again! Then speak to another customer service advisor who says they shouldn't have told you that we don't have them in stock asked for a refund got no email to say it has been cancelled so yet another phone call wasting our time to get a rude foreigner who hasn't got a clue saying you have to wait again please avoid this company Absolute rip off merchant's.

Wish I had checked out the reviews 1st ! But yes the company is very bad to deal with please do as others say and stay away from them, so slow been waiting 3 weeks for delivery and still nothing not even an email from them .
