Great opportunity
I had a great experience from start to finish! I learned so much, and the team was always quick, kind, and helpful whenever I had questions. I feel ready and excited to take everything I’ve gained into my next professional chapter.
After release, the doctor said I had to take medicine forever lifetime, doctor said don't eat sweet like chocolate, candy, eat by small portions, eat fruit, vegetables, and 7 pyramid group foods, and educating myself since the last I discharge in St Mary's Regional Hospital, soon I did this, i had strength and feeling my gut, I burn my calories by walking, sitting exercise every morning, i had meter to track my reading, i know not alone, god helping me and angels surround me. Thank you.
I loved that it was generally self paced with goals of when to complete tasks. The information and plethora or resources are fantastic! And I love that you get a second year of the material after you graduate. Much needed with all the information given!
I enrolled in FxNA’s Full Body Systems program last November with cautious optimism and looking back it was perfect for me. From the outset, the content delivered was in-depth, well-organized and clearly built for someone who wants to not just learn nutrition, but launch a practice. What I most appreciated:• The anatomy/physiology and functional root-cause frameworks are presented in a way that makes sense and connects directly to real clients.• The business-side of working with clients is thoughtfully woven into the training and it prepared me to confidently launch my own clinic rather than just learning theory.• The support and community are strong and you can choose how involved you want to be.• The pace is flexible enough for a busy professional yet rigorous enough to matter. This program gave me a cohesive structure and clarity I had been missing. Thank you to Andrea and the entire FxNA team for creating a great educational experience.
Andrea Nakayama is amazing and she is a wealth of knowledge. I loved every minute of the Full Body Systems training and the FNLP training! I am grateful to be part of their alumni community and have all the valuable resources and ongoing support on my functional nutrition journey. So glad I enrolled in this program!
I loved that I was able to go at my own pace, but also prompted along with weekly classes and a calendar to keep me on track. Perfect balance of autonomy and flexibility, but also responsibility. Andrea does a beautiful job of layering the information so even someone totally new to the field (me!) can understand, but also adds more information and deeper dives for those who are looking for more advanced curriculum. I could always get the base lesson done and then there was always more information if I was ready for it. The pre-recorded audio lessons made them easy to listen fit into my busy life. She did such a great job of put the information in the right order to digest easily and making sure there was a balance of learning anatomy, physiology and the business aspect of how to actually help people. I'd highly recommend this training.
Loaded with comprehensive subject matter content, delivered in a somewhat therapeutic manner; coupled with, highly supportive hands-on review activities, that culminates into content mastery.I was amazed by how the highly technical contents were simplified to "layman's term" to foster understanding, while maintaining their physiological meaning.
I learned so much about my health along with the health of my family. The things that each intensive taught me, was more than you would ever learn from high school and even a college course. I loved the course! Very informative and detailed on what was taught.
I just finished my FBS Final on August 28th, 2025. All in all, I think this program is very extensive. I personally studied a lot of natural health topics on my own prior to enrollment in this course and worked at a natural health store for many years, so I was aware of about 70% of the material we covered. That 30% that I wasn't aware of definitely made the cost worthwhile to me, especially now that I can branch off and help clients in a more official manner. That being said, I was majorly disappointed in the reproductive section. The reason why is because the section focused entirely on female hormones and offered very few conversations about male specific issues. The natural health world is 80% female dominated. One of my main focuses is trying to help men specifically because women comprise the majority of this space. I was really looking forward on a dedicated section to male reproductive health (since we men are responsible for half of the pregnancy afterall, lol). I really believe that the reproductive section needs to be labeled as "Female Reproductive System " because all month I was excited to have a week or two focused on men.I ended up getting little to nothing actionable for helping with male hormones, outside of a few minutes in one or two classes during this section. All in all I do like this program and think it's a good investment if you want to learn and help people with their health (and yours too).
I am a registered nurse and I found this program to be a great review of the body's systems. It makes me realize there is an alternative to the one size fits all approach that so many of us receive when we go visit the doctors office.I would definitely recommend this course to others.
I just finished Andrea Nakayama’s Full Body Systems program and it was outstanding. The training is incredibly comprehensive, blending deep-rooted science with a systems-based, functional approach that makes so much sense in real-world practice. It’s a bit like drinking from a firehouse for those like me with no medical background, but it’s all fascinating and deeply useful info. I’ll be taking a “victory lap” - second go around - for sure, and I look forward to it! Andrea and her team teach you how to think, connect the dots, and truly support clients with complex health issues. Highly recommend!
The content is amazing and applicable to every part of your life! The pacing of the content releases and the live Q&A are great! It allows you to really dive into the content and understand it to apply it. I’m looking forward to going through the content again!
For months, I searched out programs in functional nutrition counseling. I read reviews, took time to find a program that best fit what I was wanting to learn. The Functional Nutrition Alliance program seemed to be that program, but with it being only geared towards auditory learners, it's been very hard to gain true comprehension of the material being discussed. I myself am a hands-on, visual learner. I need to see graphs, images, videos, diagrams, etc. to be able to fully comprehend what is being discussed. This program is only geared towards auditory learners. The program is a bunch of podcasts from Andrea, that are 45 minutes to 1 hour long. Yes, they are filled with tons of great information but for someone like myself, who needs hands-on interaction and visuals to fully comprehend what I'm learning, I'm finding it very hard to even continue with the program. I paid for it in full, hoping that one day updates for other learning styles will be made, but I felt this review was necessary for anyone looking into the program who may have a similar learning style as myself.
Really takes the time, so many resources I haven't gotten to them all! The program website was pretty easy to navigate through. Andrea is very knowledgable, and has a deep empathy for people who are hurting and just want to get better. I also like the fact that she works with medical doctors, not against them as some holistic providers do as I hope to build a good report with doctors as well. Always looking at the whole picture!
This program was exactly what I hoped for and much more. Accessible and easy to get through the self paced learning, it worked so well with my full time schedule. The information was provided in palatable doses allowing me to listen while driving or at home while I could simultaneously take notes. I appreciate the variety of platforms by which I could ask questions and seek more detailed information. Having ongoing access to the immense content to use for my future practice is invaluable and I could not be happier with the outcome. A huge thanks to Andrea, her team, and this whole community of dedicated professionals committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our communities.
I am so happy I decided to join these 10 months course. Andrea and all her staff are so knowledgeable and always having and answer for any question and very supporting. I am grateful for being part of this program
The content in Full Body Systems from Functional Nutrition is so comprehensive! There are so many resources, along with live Q&As, as well as a virtual bulletin board to post questions. Every lesson as numerous supportive diagrams, podcasts and videos. Help is always available to clarify questions, and Andrea is consistent and focused on giving students way to apply the information in an ethical way, within scope of practice. I was 100% happy with the program.
This coarse. has been invaluable to me and my understanding of nutrition and the human body. It has changed my life forever.
