I recently paid to enroll in the Freemote bootcamp and received only a payment receipt. Since then, I’ve reached out to the support team, but it has been over two days with no response. As a first-time user, this is really disappointing. I expected at least access details or guidance on what to do next. I hope this review reaches someone on the team who can help resolve this quickly.

If you are a beginner Freemote, will ease you into the basics of web development bit by bit. Aaron and Jan's video tutorials are presented in a clear, punchy fashion that has given me confidence and a solid foundation to build on when learning the more programming advanced concepts in the latter weeks of the course.I learnt at my on pace whilst working full-time and now have a deep understanding of front-end development knowledge that I've leveraged to secure 2 freelance clients locally building and maintaining their businesses websites.The team give great honest, expert feedback on my work, encouraging me to press on and get more clients. I am about a month into the freemote program. The content is very engaging and feels like it moves you along at just the right pace. Their vision is very clear and nothing seems extraneous to helping you reach proficiency in Shopify web development. There are many resources I have not even began to utilize. I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to go from scratch to being able to begin offering services as a freelance Shopify web developer.
The course is well organized. Each module gives you just enough information to work on exercises without overwhelming you with lots of information. The videos are well done. The instructors and staff are professional in demeanor and communication. I never felt intimidated or embarrassed. Excellent course!

what makes freemote so special and different, is the amount of support I'm receiving from the mentors, they explain things thoroughly, and it is easy to understand, I didn't like programming but I'm amazed about how much I am enjoying learning with freemote, this boot camp is a great investment for education, so far it's been very rewarding see myself doing the projects and understanding the code and the logic behind, I like it a lot.
I was looking for a good support system to become a Shopify developer and Freemote provided this opportunity. They have some excellent mentors who review your code and provide feedback when needed. Also, there are weekly calls that make you feel part of a community and you don't feel left out wandering in the dark. This is my second time signing up for Freemote. I tried other ways of learning and ended up coming back to Freemote because I realized it was the best way for me to learn! They have really done well on giving you what you need, getting rid of the fluff that you don't need, and keeping the videos short and punchy. Full of information, but not overwhelming. I really do appreciate the balance they have found in that. And they seem to know how to use these projects to inspire confidence without going too easy on you. They make you learn, but they're here to help.The code review video for my first project that I received from Berk made me realize how helpful feedback is, and how valuable it is to have people helping you along the way instead of just watching videos and doing it by yourself, hoping you are doing things optimally (exactly what I was doing before).Thank you, Freemote team!
This is the study program that gave me the opportunity to get my first job as a developer. I am sure that I have an excellent future ahead of me and this applies to all Freemote students! I am impressed by how they have managed to transmit their knowledge and there is always communication for any questions or help, there are no detours or prejudices, the Freemote team is always willing to help. Freemote ROCKS!!!
I just want to say that this is an excellent and well-structured program that gives you a full understanding of Frontend and E-commerce development. I watched so many tutorials, but never truly understood how to code until I sat down to work on projects in Freemote. There are plenty of now I understand moments simply because I did the projects. I'm currently on Module 6 where we learn Javascript and I'm learning the concepts of this language. And once again it's because I'm working on projects. Really excited to continue my learning journey and I would highly recommend this boot camp for anyone wanting to learn to become a Frontend and Shopify Developer.

This boot camp covers the basics of coding, eCommerce, and freelancing with 1) easy to follow instructional videos, 2) support from friendly mentors, and 3) fun projects. The course revolves around the Shopify platform, along with navigating the Upwork job search website. At the end of completing all the lessons, I now have a complete portfolio of professional eCommerce projects on a website of my own, an active Upwork profile, an active Github account, and access to instructors beyond the foundational course. I am glad to be a student of Freemote and recommend this course to anyone wanting a career change into coding.
Freemote is the real deal. They cover all of the basics to get you started and move on to real world projects.Then they dive heavily into freelancing and Upwork: from setting up your portfolio, how to shoot video messages, different ways to get clients, and closing deals.Their new Shopify module has you creating your own sections from scratch, and now I can created any section a client needs. I have done a ton of other tutorials and programs. I was able to follow along and get them completed but when it came to making something myself, or having to go off script, I would feel lost. This is not the case with Freemote! The projects are well designed and thought out. My skills have grown tremendously in such a short amount of time. I have started creating my own projects and the imposter syndrome is gone!Always submit your projects to get a review! Their mentors are awesome!
The Freemote curriculum works! I finshed the first 4 modules and was working on modules 5 & 6 at the same time, while applying to freelance work on Upwork and also applying to full-time positions at companies, using all the skills and techniques I learned from Freemote. Before I could even get my first freelance project I got offered and signed a contract for a full-time position at a small tech company. There are 2 modules left in the program that I haven't even touched yet, along with the Full Time Tech Job and React Developer sections. The company said I should learn a little React before my start date and continue learning on the job, so Freemote is still here to help me even after getting hired. I feel like this really has changed my life. I now have a bright future ahead of me and have quit the job I hated doing. I finally feel hope after years of struggle in a dead end job and industry!
I began this boot camp while working a full-time manufacturing job. I was surprised I was able to land my first freelancing Shopify expert role on Upwork within 6 months of starting this program. It took me longer than expected to finish the course content because of how many gigs I was racking up. I have officially finished the program 10 months after starting. I like being able to work my own hours and talk directly with clients. Freelancing has given me the geographic and time flexibility I was looking for. The bi-weekly Q&A calls with Jan and Taylor were an awesome way to keep my head in the game when I was struggling to land my first few roles and even when I needed help with a job I was working on for a client.I can't say enough great things about Jan, Taylor and the rest of the great folks that run this program.I'm excited to continue raising my rates, learn more about Shopify development and sharpen my skills as a business owner. Anything is possible, I believe that now more than ever.

My experience taking the Freemote course itself was great. I can't stress that enough. The course itself is worth the money like so many other people have said. One of the benefits of the Freemote course are the opportunities for detailed feedback on the assignments you submit during the course. The mentors will make sure everything is clear and provide detailed feedback on what you did well and where you can improve. This is not the case with the certification (for those who have finished the course). I didn't get nearly the same quality of feedback on the work I submitted, or really much feedback at all. I thought the certification exercises would be fun to try, but doing so left me with more questions than answers. Adding to the confusion was the fact that the requirements were super unclear. I don't know if that's on purpose (to emulate real-world projects with unclear requirements). But if that's the case, they should say so at the start. When you don't have clear requirements to begin with, and then receive vague feedback on the work you submit, it makes it really difficult to learn/benefit from the experience. I think one way to fix this would be to have a functioning prototype that demonstrates how the finished store should look and behave. They provide a mockup for the first exercise, so why not have a prototype for the other three exercises? Anything less will be subject to interpretation, which means you're going to get frustrated people like me. Responding to someone's questions by simply saying "sorry you were confused" just adds insult to injury and is not constructive in my opinion. I expected better based on my past interactions with Freemote. Very disappointing.
Freemote is the course where theory meets reality and confusion meets support.There are many coding tutorials, courses, bootcamps, and other sources of knowledge on the internet, but Freemote is the plan that takes you all the way to the destination. As someone who already had reasonable coding knowledge but no idea what to do with it, Freemote had given me invaluable direction and practice with soft skills. How to present yourself, how to talk to clients, and how to organize yourself around that process.Although I came to the program with too much programming knowledge to make full advantage of the support on offer, I've been consistently impressed by just how much support the course gives students and how willing the mentors are to give you feedback even (as in my case) on topics outside the core of the program.The course cuts to the bone to teach you what you really need to know to get started - no fluff, all jetpack to launch you! I found myself frequently returning to the content to make sure I could meet prospective clients' needs. And the course continues to be updated with up-to-date content and new perks and features. It's clear the Freemote team are passionate about the work they do and helping their students succeed to their utmost ability.If I had to pick an area where the course could improve, I guess I would wish for it to include even more content about how to talk to and win clients when you're starting out, but I'm not sure exactly what they could add, as I think it's mostly just something you need to experience to understand and improve.Freemote is miles above the competition, if you want to code for a living, this course is a no-brainer for any skill level.
I got a full time job as a Shopify developer.First I got an internship in this company then after 2 months they hired me.And I haven’t used everything that Freemote teaches.They really prepare you for the freelance career or a job career. They will help you at every step, you won’t stay in the dark.Plus, the community is really helpful.I have gotten back all the money I paid for this bootcamp.
