This is another tech-bro startup, middle-man-as-a-service, California based "Tech industry can do no harm mindset" absolute bull shit company whose entire valuation is based on providing 0 actual services or information you wouldn't be able to do yourself.They can't schedule to save their lives, the data they give you is a slightly more formatted version of what you'll get from the scanning provider.Just call a local DEXA imaging place yourself and avoid this headache.EDIT:After I complained via email, Fitnescity refunded my unused scan after I said I no longer had interest in pursuing. They then said they would do an additional refund if I would consider DELETING THIS REVIEW. When I called them out for basically extorting me for a good review they said they "misspoke". What a scummy operation. Seriously people, avoid this. You are giving them your personal health information.

Ugh. Fitnescity is a scam.
Ugh, just like everyone else on this site, I wish I had seen these reviews before booking with Fitnescity. It's a total scam. I spent hundreds of dollars to book a scan at a facility 15 minutes from my house that they claimed had availability the following week. When the facility finally called, they told me that location had closed several months prior, and that their next availability was 2 months later at a facility over an hour from my house. I emailed Fitnescity to get a refund, then emailed again, then again, and they didn't reply until I threatened to initiate a chargeback with my credit card company. At that point, they refunded some (BUT NOT ALL) of the money I had paid - I am still waiting to hear back from them to get the rest. I highly recommend you steer clear from Fitnescity unless you like spending money on a headache.

Months to review results and doctor discussion, then I was stood up
It took AGES to get results, and when I finally did, I was stood up on the phone appointment where we were supposed to discuss the results…after MONTHS of waiting. I then tried to get in touch with them and all of my emails were ignored. Just go through your doctor and insurance—cheaper, faster, more thorough. Awful service.

Poor communication and service
If I could give negative stars, I would. From poor scheduing, to the amount of time to get your results, to offering but not providing refunds, to the overrall lack of communication - my experience with fitnescity has been the very worst. I have been working on collecting health data for myself and at every turn, I've had ongoing problems with fitnescity. Do not work with them - they over promise and underdeliver far too much and simply are not a reliable source of information. Very frustrating.

LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! I wish I could have looked at the reviews before giving them my money! My husband did a DEXA SCAN and he had to wait over a month for his results!! They completely ignoring that you are dissatisfied customer and their customer support is completely BS. We had to send numerous emails to finally get an email with our results.

Terrible experience with Fitnescity - beware
Similar to what others have posted here, had a very bad experience in Charlotte, NC. Poor and confusing communications, multiple requests for additional forms, and consents despite already providing them. Received cancellation the day before without explanation. Arrived at the center to find out they hadn't received the forms they needed from Fitnescity. After the scans, 5+ days for results with no communication of delays. Email/text/phone inquiries go unanswered. Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years. I learned the hard way that for future scans (I had DEXA and VO2 max), I should have just scheduled directly with the facility performing the tests. Will do this in the future...lesson learned but hopefully will save someone reading this some hassle.

Easy in and out, comfortable, private. Got my results from Fitnescity next day on Saturday. Fitnescity processed my physician referral for me remotely with no hassle. Highly recommend. Much needed service.

Terrible Experience.....I wish I had seen these reviews before…
I wish I had seen these reviews before I paid for a scan!! Ugh! Exact same experience as others - you pay for scan and then you don't get the results. The company does reply - very very slowly via email - think just to string you along.... So frustrating. It is basically a middle man that brings no value. Schedule scans directly with imaging center in your area - you will save huge headache and lost money.

Buyer BEWARE - SCAM Alert
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is a scam. Beware and don’t book anything with them and more importantly, do not give them any money. There are no refunds. My appointment was canceled the day before I was scheduled. It’s now been 3 weeks and I do not have a new appointment. They’ve been giving me the run around and saying they are working on it. Do your research and go right to the place yourself.

Bought DexaScans
Bought DexaScans, RMR, and VO2 tests from FITNESCITY. Received text/emails on MLK Day that the DexaScan scheduled for the coming Saturday was cancelled and my RMR on following Monday was cancelled. The reason being that SimonMed couldn’t reach me by phone. Clearly FITNESCITY could reach me by text and email so there is no reason why SimonMed couldn’t reach me. My friend also had an appt for DexaScan scheduled for Saturday. She received no notification so she called them. They told her that they didn’t have an appt for her and she could drive to SimonMed and confirm if they had one for her. Wouldn’t give any telephone numbers to assist. So far no response to my emails, but they responded same day before I purchased. NOW I’m reading the reviews. :(

Last minute reschedule no response
I bought two scans weeks ago scheduled out 2 weeks ahead. My scan was to be this Sunday. They emailed a cancelation at the end of the day Friday. Noone is responding now. I could have scheduled this myself and not had to pay them to do it.

Purchased a dexa scan and scheduled it. Got to my appointment and they hadn't received the doctor's order. I tried calling and their automated phone system said I would be able to reach a person online instead of by phone. Online, they only have a bot, not a person, who offers you the chance to "get in touch" via email. You'll get a response via email that says they aim to respond within one business day, and if you're lucky, you will get a response within one business week. They apologized for not sending me the doctor's order and said they would be happy to reschedule me at the "original partner" and then named a completely different location, which should have been the only red flag I needed to know that these people can't navigate themselves out of a paper bag, let alone do the job they claim to do on their website. But I didn't heed that red flag and accepted a reschedule. I got a "consent form" to fill out; I filled it out and got a confirmation that everything had been filled out satisfactorily. The next day I got an identical email with an identical form. I filled it out again AND emailed them asking why I needed to fill it out again. Got a "we'll get back to you in one business day" automated response and no actual human response. The next day I got a consent form AGAIN and filled it out AGAIN and asked AGAIN why I had to fill it out repeatedly. No response! Now it's the day of my appointment; I called the imaging center and they have no doctor's order. I've gone to the website and once again just got a bot who can't help. I've emailed, Facebook messaged, and instagram commented. I expect no response; I expect to have to cancel my appointment (at least this time I won't have to take sick time from work and waste my time in a waiting room like I did last time I went to my appointment and learned they hadn't sent the order!). I'm going to initiate fraud proceedings with my credit card company, badmouth this company on every internet platform I can find, and report them to the BBB.

Horrible. You have to pay in full when you make an appointment. They emailed me the day before my appointment an canceled and wrote it like I canceled it! I emailed asking for another appointment and got nothing. Made an appointment through my doctor and asked Fitnescity for a refund, again nothing. Went to my bank and then got an email with another appointment 30 days out. Mind you 3 months has now passed. They won’t address my emails and I haven’t received my $200 back. Read their reviews before you book!

I paid for a test and can’t get the results from Fitnescity
I paid for and scheduled a test. I was sent an online health document, which I completed promptly. After getting a payment and scheduling confirmation from Fitnescity, I contacted the local lab and learned that the appointment date and time Fitnescity confirmed wasn’t what the lab confirmed. Twenty four hours before the test, which was two weeks after paying, Fitnescity sent me an email with the time the lab confirmed. It’s been seven days since the test and Fitnescity hasn’t provided the results. Their telephone number is a recording saying use email or chat. The chat is a bot. I sent an email to which I’m still waiting for a response. The only gain I see to using Fitnescity is to get the doctor’s order for the test. And even that is a stretch because seven days later I’m still awaiting the test results.UPDATE: December 07, 2023I received an email today with a link to the detailed test results. The information was in a different form than what comes from the lab and nothing beyond that. I was also given a $20 refund for the delay and reminded of the physician consult that’s included in the test cost.

SCAMMY - big hassle to get results
SCAMMY. BIG HASSLE TO GET MY RESULTS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SLOW ORCOMPLETELY NONRESPONSIVE. Had my scan over a week ago at Jacksonville, FL locatio, my THIRD one, but never got results. Customer service said I had to complete another release form and this had been sent to me before the appointment-- IT WAS NOT. I completed it. 2 days later and still no results. I reached out to the support email again and was told my scan results were sent to me. They are not. Customer support is ONLY done by email and they take days to respond only to gaslight me saying they sent things that they clearly have not sent, and when I tell them sontheynwait another two days to send an email asking me to check spam folder, even though my original message had a screenshot of my spam folder with no email. I paid over $100 for each scan. I want my results or my money back.

DEXA test is inaccurate
I'm giving a low rating because the testing isn't what they claim it will be. The experience, price, and smoothness of the test was very good.The dexa scan was claimed to give the most accurate body composition results and be able to say where body fat is located. I was attracted to that because I'm a very muscular individual and traditional bmi measures always say I'm overweight or obese. Impedance testing has typically returned 12-15 percent for me over the years. This scan said 25 percent. It's basically a standard bmi result. No staff went over results with me either. Have not tried any other services.

The Arlington VA location is runs under the Bodymass Gym name (exactly the same address listed for Fitnescity in Arlington VA. The website is misleading. After the scan was completed I got the black and white paper report, and it did NOT measure visceral fat (only trunk fat, which includes subcutaneous fat). The only redeeming element: they offered to refund me the second scan I purchased as part of the package, thus two stars.

SCAM alert. Customer service is very slow in responding to any communication. There is no phone number to call so you have to rely on email. I scheduled my testing and after my date was confirmed they cancelled my appointment and automatically rescheduled me several weeks later at a time that I was not available. When I asked for a refund due to the schedule changes I was informed that this was not possible.
