Tried contacting PETA over an animal cruelty issue and soon realised that they are less concerned with protecting animals than recruiting new members and receiving cash donations. PETA betrays animals. There needs to be a real charity that actually cares about animal welfare. Animals are suffering and dying.
If I could give a 0 star I would. This organization spreads harmful misinformation while pocketing donations for themselves. What a sorry excuse of activism.
My heart broke in late August 2025 when I witnessed a video showing a dog being brutally tortured by his owner in an Asian country. Watching the helpless animal endure such cruelty caused me profound emotional distress.Believing in PETA’s presence and influence in Asia, I urgently reached out for help through every channel available - phone, email, and PETA’s online contact form. PETA’s phone number (757-622-7382) proved impossible to reach. I followed the prompts for emergencies and left multiple voicemail messages requesting a call back, but no one ever responded, regardless of the day or time.I also submitted an urgent report through PETA’s “Contact PETA” form. The only response I initially received was an automatically generated donation request email - clearly triggered by my submission. Hoping this might finally reach a real person, I replied with the abuser’s platform ID and screenshots documenting the torture.Although a PETA employee eventually responded, she repeatedly refused to provide a phone number or confirm whether PETA could intervene in a case involving this Asian country. She declined any phone conversation, and after a few brief exchanges, communication stopped entirely.It is deeply disappointing that an internationally recognized animal protection organization failed to respond meaningfully to an urgent plea for help while a dog was actively being tortured. The lack of accountability and compassion felt truly heartless.Why are PETA’s contact form, email, and phone number seemingly unmonitored? Disturbingly, the only response I received came through a donation-related email - not through any channel intended for urgent animal abuse reports.

Review: A Harsh Reality Behind the “Animal Welfare” MaskI am extremely disheartened by the sheer negligence and unprofessionalism of so-called animal welfare NGOs and authorities. Recently, a stray dog gave birth to five healthy puppies in our campus. Understanding the dangers of the roads, we provided them shelter, food, and safety in our home until they grew up. Around the same time, another stray dog wandered into our house in a weak state.In this crisis, I tried contacting every possible NGO, MCD, and even PETA – hoping they would help or guide us. To my utter disappointment: • Most of the contact numbers were non-functional. • MCD officials said they only come when the dog is dead. • PETA said they don’t operate in our area and only suggested a few local NGO numbers, all of which were either switched off or fake. • One NGO responded, but only after 2 hours, and even then, the person who came refused to take the dog to a hospital, citing lack of space.Despite my not being a pet lover, we did everything we could as humans, not for personal joy but out of basic compassion. Sadly, the stray dog passed away. Ironically, MCD came only to pick the corpse. Now, one of the puppies is seriously ill, and again – no one is picking up our calls. We are left helpless, watching the little one suffer.The reality is bitter: Most NGOs and “pet lovers” on social media are just there for show, likes, and donations. Please never donate a single rupee to these fake organizations. These people are earning in the name of animal welfare but are doing absolutely nothing for them.Even the so-called animal helpline 1962 is a waste of time – you’ll be kept on hold for hours, only to be told later that “they don’t handle dogs” but cater to cows, goats, and buffaloes. Then they’ll say, “Take it to a hospital yourself.”What’s the use of these NGOs if common people have to bear the burden alone? If you’re reading this, know this: Animal welfare in this country is mostly a scam. Support only those you’ve seen working on the ground, not those flaunting fancy social media pages.
Your article is eye opening but not in the way you would think, the article went from the condition of the animals to saying all farms are like this and using it as a platform to ram veganism down our throats! Meat is good for you and your body needs it! You’re gonna put good farmers out of business we’ve been eating meat for centuries, enough is enough!

Was donating to them until I found out if a animal is the least bit aggressive then they euthanize. My loving daughter Chaweenie Khloe will chew someone's hand off over her food, but otherwise is very loving & sweet to everyone. So if God forbid she escaped & PETA "rescued" her they would euthanize her for being "food aggressive". Once I found this out I quit donating & filed a chargeback on what was previously paid in. No animal deserves to die for learned behavior that can be undone with the right therapy. The ONLY organizations I support are not kill shelters, get informed before you donate!!!
