Maybe your money is better spent elsewhere....
After the initial 5 month subscription ran out, I noticed a pending charge for another 5 month subscription. I tried to hunt down any sort of way to cancel with this company. I was unable to find any published method so I reached out to their chat line on Jan 6 and Jan 9. The Jan 6 was responded to on the 16th. The 9th was responded to on the 20th. In the meantime, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. The company responded to my credit card claiming I never contacted them to cancel my subscription. If you must get involved with this service, make sure to document the cancellation information and put a note on your calendar. Their business model appears to require them to make it difficult to cancel. They should spend more money increasing customer service which they could get by saving money from the people that are tasked with spending hours writing deceptive responses to credit card disputes.

Customer service is non-existent
I have waited 2 days and still no response from the company to resolve the account / subscription problems I encountered with my initial enrollment. They’ve taken my money, but I have no subscription. I am now concerned this company is a scam.

Very happy with the boxes, not customer service
Very happy with the boxes I have received. Completed them with a group of friends - a bit hit with all of them. Just not happy with customer service. Have contacted them twice will billing issues but no response yet.

Not what I had hoped for
I have completed two boxes. I find them tedious and some things are just arbitrary. Overall I am very disappointed. I love escape rooms, but this doesn't even come close. It's hard to tell when you are making progress. There are things you just guess at. There is swag in each box, but some is not really related to the case and I would rather they spent the money on a better experience. At this point I don't think I would sign up for Season 2 or any of their other games. Just very disappointing.

Fun game, terrible customer service
This review would be lower, but I actually enjoy the game a lot, just not the company or its policies. Escape the Invasion is more interested in your money than you as a customer, as I can clearly see from my interaction with customer service. Supposedly they send emails about upcoming renewals, which is clearly not the case because I was charged on my card without any preemption or warning. When I contacted customer service about this to see if they could make an exception to their rules (seeing as I never got the renewal email that I should have), I was talked to like a child. I was told - numerous times - by the rep Caitlin that I had apparently misunderstood or missed the information on the website about their policies. Regardless of the fact that I had or had not read the policies - which I had - that is no way to handle an escalation with a customer. It just seems like they are trying to place the blame everywhere else instead of admitting any fault. As someone in the public relations field, the way this company handles its customer service and customer retention is extremely poor. They didn’t even try to retain me as a customer when I asked to cancel, just went and did so. I would not be surprised if this company comes crashing down because it can’t properly handle customer service issues. I really wish this had not been the case because, like I said, the game is a lot of fun and very different from anything out there. However, it is not worth the hassle and lack of proper customer service.

Quite disappointing
Unfortunately waited to open the first box until we already had 3 of them on the table and now have 4. The remaining 3 may never be opened. I don't get the high reviews. You get a letter, a few (cool and high quality!) trinkets, and some card that you supposedly can use to access a website. I don't get how they can even call this a game. There was no game or mystery or story to the box. Just a letter about someone who went missing with no real clues or instructions on what you are even supposed to do. I'm glad others liked it but I will never buy one of these kind of boxes again. Was really looking forward to something interesting to do with my wife.

Customer service is a little slow
The game sounds fun, I guess my problem is with the customer service. The person that is answering me is nice enough, but it takes an entire day for them to give me one reply, this is probably all my fault though. I mistyped my email, and have been going back and forth for 5 days now trying to get my email corrected so I can login my account to keep track of things. She updated it, but it still does not let me in. I can't even reset the password because it doesn't recognize my email. I am guessing the customer service reps work from home, and do not have a VOIP like Ring Central to be able to take and make calls. So after this 5 months that we signed up for to get a good handle on the experience, I will be cancelling this box. The game sounds fun and all, but not sure that would be enough to help me through with the CS side of things.*Update*After my review was posted they contacted me, and 24 hours later the issue was resolved. Good follow up to a rough experience.

Tedious and Time Consuming
We are avid players of escape rooms and this was not for us. You are given so many papers and things to read and have very few "wins" in the first thirty minutes to hour. We actually got so overwhelmed and bored that we went to the walkthrough and just read through it to see what they wanted us to do - most were a really far reach that we would have never solved on our own. For me, this feels like work and not fun. I imagine that if you love puzzle hunts, and puzzles, and video games you might enjoy this, but if you like escape rooms, the quick wins and the time constraint, you might find this tedious. On the plus side, their print materials were were well done and the website you interact with feels very polished. We just hated their game design.

The puzzles are difficult enough and take a while to complete. There is lots to go through in each box and I don't think there is anything else like it.

Having done Hunt A Killer and Empty…
Having done Hunt A Killer and Empty Faces I was excited when this new series came and I have not been disappointed. Totally enjoyed it and can't wait for the next series

Awesome game. Different from anything else.
Man this game is crazy! Very realistic. Keeps you guessing. And makes you feel like you're actually there, investigating what is happening. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Did not hook me.
Played only the first box and the set-up did not work for me. Production quality of physical materials is impressive while general writing is serviceable. Unsurprisingly, the whole thing relies a lot on fake websites but I found them too bare-bone for my tastes.Think of it as a minimal ARG with classic puzzles.I had dealings with their customer service and they were very pleasant and transparent, you can see they have their project at heart.

Apocalyptically Amazing !!
It’s an alien apocalypse mystery story! Hello!!! Buy this, it’s honestly so much fun. Hunt a Killer, Empty Faces, Earth Break- all worth it. Hours and hours of fun and totally worth the price (when a regular escape room is $25/hour). Great activity to do by yourself or with your buddies. Plus there’s a huge online community of people swapping theories and hints, it’s really engaging. Love this company!

Earth Break is fun & addicting
This was an "out of the box" purchase for me and my wife -- and we are now addicted! The attention to detail within the box, its clues, and its storyline is incredible. Several of the objects brought me into a whole new world and felt like collectible items. As I was playing, it really felt like I was exploring this unknown, post-apocalyptic world. It had elements of "I Am Legend", "Fallout", "Aliens" and more. You really feel like the star of your own show when playing this game. One of the elements we really loved is that we don't really know what is real and what isn't and we get to make our own interpretation and can control our own destiny. In addition to loving the box, the company is absolutely amazing to deal with. The community is full of like-minded people. The support is top notch and always willing to help especially if you get stuck. This was a one-of-kind entertainment experience. We played for hours and didn't realize how much time past by. It was also way more engaging than us watching TV or movie, and it was way more involved and enthralling than a board game or even an escape room.I really can't recommend this enough and I look forward to the second box. It's great with family, friends, and spouses; although I could play alone, my wife would be mad about me jumping ahead.
