We were looking to expand from a condo to a larger single family and came to the conclusion that unless we sold our condo first to cash out the equity in it, we could not buy a new home. We first reached out to Catapult almost exactly a year ago, in November 2024. We met Ankur in person at our home and had several questions about the process, which he and his team answered very directly without pressuring us in any way. The first thing that made me feel assured about the process is that their contracts are simply written and easy to understand. We knew our search was not going to be straightforward, because a couple of homes meeting our criteria come up in the Los Altos/Los Altos Hills area in a month. My family and I lived in a home which we built ourselves after buying the land. We liked our old home, but had outgrown it and wanted to upgrade to a nicer, and larger, single family in the same area.
