Best decision we ever made
Moving our son to this school was the best decision we have ever made. The public school environment is not suitable for all kids, Brilliant Microschools created a community for kids that don't fit into that box. The small class sizes allow the teachers to get to know your kids and their learning style. This is our third year with this school and we have not had one negative experience, they are pretty amazing!

Exactly What My Daughter Needed
My daughter previously struggled with both the social and academic environment in public school. The transition from grade school to junior high school was exceptionally difficult. She felt rushed, overlooked, and overwhelmed. She now has a smaller class size, a dedicated teacher that gives her the attention she needs to learn and grow, and a shorter school day that allows for her to learn within her short attention span, while she is focused.

Good experience thus far
Good experience thus far. I like that my daughter can do her thing while I can simultaneously get my work done too while not constantly being interrupted. I like that she can engage with other students too.

We've been very happy with Brilliant Microschools! Our daughter loves her teacher and everything related to the administration has always been smooth and easy. They are particularly responsive to questions and friendly in the way they communicate.

Limited spots
On the day of our video matching session to review available teachers, the individual from admission told us that they were unable to share any teacher videos. They were apologetic and promised to follow up soon so we could get started, but we never heard back. I followed up 10 days later and received no response by text. I finally received an email response stating that all classes are now full and there may not be space until next year’s enrollment cycle (and we’ve been added to a priority waitlist). The lack of follow up after our call expressing interest was disappointing. And we’re still unclear why a call was scheduled for us to view teachers when none were available. I hope our experience was an exception.Updated - Head of Admissions followed up with me and explained that lower grades have limited spots and that the last one was taken just before our scheduled call. He promised to help set better expectations on the front end moving forward to avoid this scenario with future families. We appreciate the call and explanation and hope to try them again in the future!

Loved our teacher!
Our teacher was enthusiastic, kind and met my student where she was at academically and socially. The curriculum was engaging and interactive. Learning styles were valued and a variety of teaching styles helped my neurodivergent child navigate curriculum and peers.

My son had a really positive experience with BMS. Ms. Kim was a fantastic teacher who really engaged with the kids and connected with them. The curriculum was based on real life situations, which I really appreciated.

Brilliant Microschools - great education option
Brilliant Microschools has been a good fit for our high school age daughter. She struggles with various learning disabilities, and the smaller classroom sizes and attention helped her thrive.

UPDATE:Brilliant Microschools got back to us asap! We got everything worked out when an admissions staff member had to suddenly take leave.We're on the path to our guy's first day of guided school with a teacher he really loves. Thank you, Brilliant!Hopefully i have an opportunity to change this review... We've been excited about Brilliant right up until time to pay... we cannot get in touch with these folks reliably, and the "admissions" person seems fairly removed from the school-- like they really dont know much about the school, just want payment. Im not getti g any invoices; just texts asking for payment. Ugh!!!

Great for unique learning needs
My son really struggled to engage in any kind of in-person schooling due to his disabilities. We were burnt out when we arrived and Brilliant Microschools worked tirelessly to accommodate his ever-changing needs and support our family as we learned the best strategies for his learning process. We highly recommend this program for students with challenging learning journeys and unique learning needs. The schooling program is 100% individualized and customized to meet each child's needs and it's such a refreshingly welcoming and nonjudgmental community, too.

Our Family has had a positive experience with BMS. We are truly grateful for the support she received. The teachers were patient, responsive, and genuinely invested in her success. Although we are moving on due to a change in circumstances, we leave with gratitude and respect for the school community. I would confidently recommend this program.
