I bought my daughter a cactus club subscription for her birthday a few months ago and it’s the gift that keeps giving. She loves unwrapping new cacti to add to her collection and gets really excited about the monthly surprises (though I may need to steal this months cactus coaster for myself). The perfect gift 🌵
I've been a member of Barry's Cactus Club for almost two years and have had nothing but positive experiences with their service. The variety of the cacti they send and the different pots is splendid. Never had a repeat as with other services. They also include succulents occasionally which I've found a bit harder to care for compared to the hardy cacti but they've been very unique. I love that they also supply extra little gifts in the box sometimes - all cactus related. I've had a bottle opener, keyrings, pin badges, pencils, cactus food, even an incense burner!Each box contains a card with full care details to keep them healthy and happy. At times extra information cards arrive delving deeper into some of these pretty pointy plants.Last year one of them was flowering for four months over spring and summer. Really brought me joy! Looking forward to more from that one this year, it's growing very fast... for a cactus.
I was a preorder subscriber for over 2 years and noticed some cactus I received have bugs in them or are quite sickly and spread to other cacti and succulents. This has happened just quite recently, like within the last few months. Anyway, my main issue is, i emailed about points and still waiting on a reply. So I thought, If this is how customer service is, I'm going to cancel. Then you need to email them about cancelling, but they can't answer a simple email from over a week ago, what chance do I have with cancelling before my next billing date? Really went downhill and I'm so disappointed, used to love seeing what plant I get every month but customer services is a major let down.
Terrible customer service. No response to multiple requests to cancel my subscription. A Lithops went mouldy and died and the last succulent arrived broken and covered in the soil from the pot. Disgrace of a company. Wish I had heeded the bad reviews to start with.

While some may find the price tag for a cactus in a box to be steep, I can assure you that it is worth every penny and more.Not only do you receive a beautiful cactus, but you also get a stunning ceramic pot, informative plant care tips, and a surprise extra gift that never fails to put a smile on my face. From dahlia tubers to various seeds, pens, bags, air plants, and even plant food, the value of the subscription box is unbeatable.It is evident that a great deal of love, care, and attention goes into curating and packing these boxes, which is why I am always impressed with how perfectly each item is packed. Opening my box is like opening a treasure chest - it is filled with so much joy and excitement!I have even given some of my plants as gifts to friends and family because my shelf is getting a bit full, but I will always find room for one more !! I highly recommend Barry's Cactus Club to anyone who loves unique and beautiful plants, and I am looking forward to being a member for many more years to come.
I was enjoying my cacti for a good while, i have owned cacti all my life. Sadly they shipped me a cactus that was rife with parasites which have since killed most of my collection. Not so much as a sorry from Barry's or anything, they said theyd get back to me but they havent bothered. I'm sure they'll suddenly get back in contact once the subscription is refunded.
Really love my cactus subscription. Great healthy plants in gorgeous pots. All thriving. Nice touch with little extra surprise in box and love the card that comes with each box. One of my cacti flowered this month. It’s beautiful. Highly recommend.
I have had a Barry’s cactus subscription for a while now maybe around 7/8 months and I have been so pleased. The products themselves are GORGEOUS. The cacti are well cared for and come in beautiful pots. It’s a lovely treat each month and all the cacti I have received have thrived. I also love the little extras you get each month such as seeds, cute little pencils, air plant and this month is little teabags. The package comes in cardboard and the contents are really well packaged to prevent damage. I haven’t had any damaged contents as of yet. I also have found customer service to be really quick with replying and super helpful. I have recommended Barry’s cactus club to all my friends as it just makes me smile every time my box comes through the door ❤️
I won a 12 month subscription as a competition prize. The first month didn't arrive so I contacted the Competition Organiser which lead to a response from Barrys. The first month never did arrive but barrys agreed to start the subscriptions from Feb which they promptly did, march also followed. On first arrival I wrote to Barrys press office thanking them for assistance and telling them although I hadn't paid for my subscription I was very likely to by one as a gift for another. After March I recived no further subsciptions, no contacts from Barrys no explanation of why the 12 month prize had been limited to two. I confess I didn't contact them about the missing March addition, or the missing May. I hadn't paid for it and I found it embarrassing to chase them for something I got for free. The pity of all this was is that I was delighted with the product but what they are actually selling is a service and that is lamentably poor. I can't recommend them, they have alienated a customer they recruited for marketing opportunities. That is pretty silly

Bought a gift box - 3 month subscription with a cactus send each month. First arrived OK and I gave it to my friend but the box had nothing about the subscription. 2 days later got a dispatch notification that another one was being sent to me so I contacted them and was told first one was for January (didn't place the order until 31st Jan) and second was Feb and somehow I should have known I needed to change the delivery address. Customer service has been useless and I would very strongly advise people to avoid this company and their associated companies that trade under the Ohh_deer brand.
