Second fail

I found the perfect colour rug two years ago. It arrived faded and fraying. After several photos were submitted I was given a refund of $60. The fraying gradually worsened over the two years and finally it had to be thrown out. I contacted the company for a guarantee that a replacement would not be damaged, which I was given. It arrived today with a rectangle of fading where the label had flipped over to the front. It also shows fading all over of the pattern of the reverse side - dots from the non-slip. These rugs are obviouly stored in bright light - two years on and they haven't figured that out. I was offered a refund of $60.I would never have given them a second chance, but it is the only outlet for this rug.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!I wish I did my research before buying. They will send you the wrong rug, it will arrive FOLDED not rolled so you will never get the dents out of the rug. They send the wrong size (smaller than what I ordered) and make it impossible to return.

Garbage quality rug

Garbage quality rug , really thin and poorly made , nothing like the rug in the picture .The returns process is completly mislaeading they expect you to send it to the nearest return depot which meantf sending it to Switzerland ???? at my personal cost.Horible company please dont make thye mistake i made an order a rug from them you will regret it.

We ordered a round rug

We ordered a round rug. It arrived within a week but the quality was terrible. It buckled in multiple areas and had so many kinks it became a trip hazard. Very cheap and terrible quality. No customer service so we have effectively lost our money.

Good service

It can be tricky to choose an item online rather than see it up close and feel it. That said, I purchased a rug from AU rugs and I am very happy with it. It arrived (from Amercia) very quickly, the online support was also quick to reply to my questions, and the rug is exactly as pictured.This is not to ignore some customers who have had problems - and AU rugs needs to work on that - but my experience has been very positive. I complain a lot about companies that do poorly and it's only right that I speak up when a company does well. cheers,Mark

Scam

Scam. It’s been past 2 days they didn’t give me my tracking number and delivery date I’ve also called them they said “we are currently on break due to memorial day we’ll be back Tuesday” as of now it is July and may been past. I order a 1987 caprice carpet.

Terrible quality and infeasible to return

Terrible quality, thin and frail. They appear to be an Australian company but they’re not. They offer “easy returns” within 30 days, but request you send it to Switzerland. They quoted me and easy return of $243 postage label for a $299 rug. They make it impossible to return and their site is completely misleading. Would never recommend anyone use.

I have purchased 6 rugs of various sizes over time from Aurugs and have not had any problems with price, quality or shipping(to Australia) so can’t understand some of the negative reviews.

Rug was ordered then I was told it was…

Rug was ordered then I was told it was out of stock and I could order another one .I requested a refund. I then received a message from DHL that a ‘rug’ was being delivered. Company is a joke - I have no idea what is going on -each message contradicts the one that has been sent and have not received a refund - nightmare

Absolute scam company

Absolute scam company. Wanted to return rug but they said it needed to be returned to Switzerland and could only return 100 dollars. Was a 400 dollar rug and EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY

Dreadful experience, avoid this company

Dreadful experience, no response from company as i tried to sort delivery. Emailed five times and no response. They dropped my rug at a depot 100kms from my house. No one answers the phone, called multiple times to hear “ no one is available to take your call”. Wish i’d read the numerous poor reviews before i ordered this rug… so many good and reliable companies out there for rugs… AURugs…. NEVER AGAIN

Buyers beware!!!!

If you live anywhere except Switzerland or the USA don't bother purchasing from this company! Their products are inferior quality and their advertising is borderline illegal as it's extremely deceptive. Free shipping! however if you live in any country apart from the ones mentioned you have to pay ridiculous postage fees even if the rug is faulty as mine was. I paid $479 for a jute rug, deemed faulty by them, I was offered these options. Keep the rug and get a $96 partial refund or a store credit of $155 or and I quote "If you would like to use our account with FedEx, we can provide you a shipping label via email for $466 AUD off your final refund". I called before I purchased and they told me that they were Australian based...another lie! NEVER again will I purchase from this company or recommend it to anyone. They make money off terrible quality products if the buying has purchased it internationally as it costs too much to return it. Mine is going in the trash as its not worth the partial refund I agreed to get (not even an acceptable amount considering the cost of the rug) What a profit they must make....even if they send you the wrong rug you are stuck with it, just like my faulty one!!!!

Second purchase and we're delighted

This is our second AUrugs purchase. We ordered a large multicolored rug on Dec24 and received it 6 days later. And yes it was shipped with FedEx and came from South Carolina. It was also folded for shipping which has now almost smoothed out. Similar rugs from Australian retailers were 50% more expensive. AUrugs has stirred up the rug selling racket in Australia and they don't like it. Many of the reviews you see about AUrugs would no doubt be fake. Of course if you don't order correctly the cost of returns can be expensive but AUrugs offers an extensive website where you can see any rug in your room setting. Don't be put off you will be delighted and save heaps.

Return costs are ludicrous!!!!

I enquired what the return process/costs were if the $220 rug was not suitable/pictures were not an accurate reflection. I was told it would cost $516 to return a $220 rug, but I had to ask about the cost because prior to that I was told how easy breezy it would be...While we love to think every rug we ship out is the perfect one for every customer, we know these things don’t always work out. If it turns out that your rug is less than what you expected, you can send it back within 30 days of the purchased date. We can assist in obtaining an RMA # and instructions for your return.Please note: Buyer is responsible for all returns, and must pay for the return shipping.

Folded not Rolled

My order arrived in record time from USA to Gold Coast Australia but the rugs were FOLDED, not rolled. So there are serious fold marks and ridges in the rugs that I cannot remove, even after some time with other heavy carpet rugs on top. So my rugs are unusable and I had to purchase another set from another vendor (this time actually in Australia, not the USA!!)

Don't Waste Your Time or Money

Don't Waste Your Time or Money. AU Rugs is an American-based company that takes orders and payments from customers and then refuses to deliver to regional areas. Despite the tracking showing the rug is only 20km from my home, I could not organise for it to be delivered. I contacted them several times over this issue and they were less than helpful. My sister recommended them but I am thoroughly disgusted in the poor service. I purchased a very expensive outdoor rug and almost a month later, what have I got? Excuses and blame on the 'courier'. The item has been only a few kilometres from the delivery address for over a week. I cannot understand why the rug cannot and has not been delivered. To purchase a rug locally, I literally had to drive past the warehouse where the rug is so-called 'delayed'. I will be avoiding them as will my sister from here on in. No refund. Just, 'delay by courier'. For a week? Less than 20 kms away from the delivery address? Yeah right.

DO NOT purchase from AURUGS.

DO NOT purchase from AURUGS.I just received my rug via fedex, from the US to Melbourne and unrolled it only half way and saw enough of the poor quality and colour, not to mention roughness of the material. I rolled it straight back up and initiated a return. I understood before purchasing that return postage is on the purchaser which is fine however I paid $169 for the rug with free shipping and to return it they want $150 in postage fees!! What. A. joke.
