My 7-year-old son has been learning Greek with Maria and it's been a wonderful experience for him. I initially wasn't sure if virtual lessons would be ideal for a young, high-energy kid but Maria is engaging and makes the lessons fun and includes games her lessons. Would definitely recommend.
I've used many tutoring services over the years, but I have to admit that working with Peter has been the best experience by far. Peter is very accommodating, working with me to schedule a last minute weekend session. He also paired my daughter with an exceptional tutor (Olivia) who did a tremendous job of helping with both homework and test prep. I can't say enough about the service and their professionalism.
Peter has a great company! He is very professional and attentive. He took the time to understand our specific needs in looking for a tutor and matched us with a wonderful math tutor, Sabrina, who meets with our son virtually each week. He facilitates all communication and preparation if anything is needed ahead of their session. Sabrina is also able to load all necessary materials (ex. paper homework that may need to be scanned) ahead of their virtual meet and uses a variety of tools to engage our son in previewing and reviewing math lessons, assignments, and assessment prep. We have been very pleased with the format and our son’s math grades have improved dramatically since starting to work with Sabrina this fall. He feels more confident about math and continues to learn new strategies to help him be successful!
Maria has been an incredible tutor for my 10-year-old son. Her teaching style is not only effective but also engaging and supportive. As he puts it, "She is helpful, nice, she makes learning fun, and she makes me feel like I am doing a good job." I’ve seen his confidence grow under her guidance, and we are so grateful for her dedication and talent. Highly recommend!

We can’t say enough about a Traveling Teacher, this is our first year with them and the experience has been wonderful. We began the year with Honors Math and have recently added Honors Anatomy as well. Our daughter’s tutor has helped tremendously with her confidence and has practically removed all stress! We would recommend Peter and his team over and over again!

A Traveling Teacher has been a convenient and successful tool for my high school junior. Meeting with his tutor virtually has given him the flexibility that he needs to participate in all of his other activities while receiving top notch learning in the comfort of his own room. We are very happy with the work product our son is producing this year thanks to his tutor.
We have had an amazing experience with our two high school daughters with a Traveling Teacher over the years. We have used their tutors for both honors and AP Math courses as well as science. The communication and flexibility has been beyond our expectations. While both children have succeeded academically, the confidence and stress reduction they have experienced since using a Traveling Teacher has been priceless. I have four children and have used many tutors over the years and they have been the best by far and we find them affordable. We can’t thank them enough!!
The tutors were amazing. They got to know my child and how they learn best. Both tutors made a personal connection with my child. We were in need a tutoring while my child was on medical leave of school and they were so willing to accommodate to our needs and were extremely flexible. We will be forever thankful for their services.
My daughter has struggled with health challenges for the past couple of years. School has been a source of stress and disappointment throughout these years. A Traveling Teacher has provided the most wonderful teachers who have helped my girl. Not only did she catch up on her missed schooling from years of illness but she has found the love of learning that had been lost in traditional schooling. The teachers we work with are warm, skilled, enthusiastic about teaching and learning. They are incredible people! Not only do they foster the love of learning in their teaching methods, they foster the love of learning through their patient, enthusiastic, personal love of learning in their daily examples. I am 100000% indebted to these wonderful people for blessing my daughter’s life so abundantly.
I cannot say enough good things about Peter and his tutoring business. My 9th grader transferred high schools and fell a bit behind in his classes. I knew that we needed to hire some outside help to assist him getting caught up. I reached out to Peter and was impressed from our very first conversation. Peter seemed to understand the challenges with my son, his current situation, and with his IEP needs. Although I initially thought that the virtual tutoring sessions were going to be difficult for my son, Peter assured me that they would work and to trust the process. Peter offered to attend my son's IEP meeting with us (at not additional charge), and come up with a plan of action with all of his teachers. He was in constant communication with all of them, followed up with them to make sure my son was on the right track, and put one of his tutors (Mikayla) on the job immediately. Mikayla worked tirelessly to get my son all caught up and he was able to complete all his work with better-than-passing grades. She was patient, kind, enthusiastic, and really took the time to get to know my son. The peace of mind I received by hiring Peter was absolutely priceless. Knowing that my relationship with my child would remain intact while someone else assisted him with his work, was a gift. Peter was so encouraging and supportive of my son. Not only did he have multiple motivating conversations with him, but I truly felt that my son's confidence grew leaps and bounds in the three short weeks they worked together. Peters cares. So much so, that once my son's assignments were all handed in and report cards had been issued, he came by our home with a handwritten, touching, heartfelt letter (brought this mama to tears), and a gift for my son. To have someone like that in your corner, someone who not only helps your children academically, but helps them to become a better person, and to feel like they are capable, is a gift that I will never be able to repay. Thank you, Peter. You will never know the difference you have made in this family's life.
We live in Maine and I was looking for a local math tutor for my son, Andrew, who is a junior in HS. A friend from Massachusetts sent me the link for "A traveling Teacher" as she had been very happy with their services for her own daughter. I was a little hesitant at first with the fact that it would be virtual but decided to give it a try. Peter initially talked with us to see what are needs were and was very accommodating schedule-wise. My husband and I have been very impressed with his services. He stays in contact with Andrew's math teacher to make sure they are on the same page and encourages Andrew to forward any current and upcoming concepts in Algebra, so that the tutor, Nate, can be prepared for the following weekly sessions. I have found Peter to be very hands on, enthusiastic and excited about providing a great service to his customers. Andrew has commented that his tutor, Nate, is super nice, approachable, extremely knowledgeable in math and overall a great teacher. Andrew has been struggling with his honors algebra 2 class but seems to be doing better since we started the tutoring sessions. He actually scored a 100% on his quiz this past week. My husband and I are extremely satisfied with this company and would not hesitate to recommend its services to anyone.

Our son has a diagnosed learning disability specifically in math so the subject has always been a struggle. Thankfully Peter from A Traveling Teacher paired him up with a great tutor that has been incredibly helpful. His tutor is patient and keeps the mood light which is a huge help to limit frustration and allow him to think through each step. Peter and his company have helped me tremendously. I was never given the foundation to succeed when it came to math, specifically algebra, so when a college algebra course popped up in my curriculum this semester I had no idea what to do. As an educator, I value good educational support. Justin was an excellent tutor who helped my daughter in college Chemistry II. Not only did he guide her academically, but he also had great study tips that she followed and found useful. If needed in the future, I would not hesitate to contact A Traveling Teacher again, and I would highly recommend them for your child's tutoring needs.
Since my son was out of school for a portion of the year due to an illness the school supplied tutoring for him through A traveling teacher. We had the most amazing tutor that made teaching fun for him. She was patient, enthusiastic and fun. My son had a great time each session, during the process of getting the tutoring set up it was easy, quick and any questions I had were answered. I would recommend this company anytime, and if needed I will be using them again! Thank you all for your dedication
