Waste of time
Not the best experience.Had a referral for a simple medical check for work, called Allianz and they don’t give you any options of time or date to do that, only send a message with confirmation where you should go. I spent 4 hours at the facility in Krakow on Jana Brozka 1, for something that takes 5 minutes in other places. I would rather pay for that myself but don’t waste my time.

I have the international Allianz care…
I have the international Allianz care signature insurance, and I deeply regret it. It’s a hassle for every single bill and they simply refuse to pay anything. I will certainly not make this mistake again.

Inconsistent handling of claims
They seem to pay simple claims without much dispute, but as soon as there’s nuance or you want to dispute a claim then there have been a series of mishandling and incorrect processing of claims. Repeatedly I’ve had to highlight that I’m covered under a separate section of the policy and they keep pushing through the claims on the wrong part.Their claims team don’t seem to see the notes from the front end care advisors. Then I’ve had several cases of staff not following through on their word.

Terrible user experience
I was originally with Aetna in Singapore, but they sold their book to Allianz so I ended up an Allianz customer. I have a policy for myself and 2 teenage sons. Here are the main issues 1) The WORST online portal for claims management - it seems deliberately designed so that you cant see at a glance which claims have been paid, which are in progress and which were denied ( you have to click into each one - one by one - to see2) I had to use some webs craping tools to monitor the progress of my claims and found some of my claims DISAPPEARED - when I challenged Allianz they admitted it and claimed they had rolled some of my claims together ( though there is still 1 claim that went missing)3) Very SLOW to pay to the provider for bigger claims - it took between 60 and 90 days to pay the provider for a procedure for which there was a Letter of Guarantee 4) TERRIBLE customer service, it feels like an AI Bot is answering your email questions (polite but no substance and no action) , and the call center when you speak to them can do nothing except to send and email to escalate the problem - they have not solved a singe issue5) When I raised a FORMAL COMPLAINT they gave me a physical address and asked me to write a letter of complaint to this address - clearly a hurdle to put people off

Super fast with dealing with claims
Really sorry to see the bad reviews but honestly from my experience I couldn't fault them. I put a claim in of receipts for my prescription of medication from the doctor. And I've just looked two days later and will already pay out by bank transfer. Claim form easy to use. Handled so quickly. Thank you.

Pregnancy Viability Visit Denied — Allianz Labeled It "Routine"
I went to confirm that my pregnancy was viable—an urgent and medically necessary step, not a casual check-up.Allianz Care refused to reimburse me for this visit, saying my care plan “does not cover routine check-ups” nor "pregnancy care." I had never seen this clinic or doctor before. This was a diagnostic visit, driven by health concerns, not routine care.Their decision isn’t just medically incorrect—it’s emotionally tone-deaf and dangerous. Pregnant people deserve better than to be treated like they’re running up the bill when trying to determine if a pregnancy is viable. When I asked what exactly they considered “routine” about a first-time viability check at an unfamiliar clinic, they ignored the question—twice. Then their Senior Medical Services Advisor blocked my emails completely. No answer, no appeal, no transparency.I strongly caution others seeking care not to trust Allianz with their health.

Super bad service
Super bad service! They making it hard to process claims! Per their guidelines its 24-48 hrs. But it's been 2 weeks now and nothing! It contradicts to the process. Keeps asking for a document that I already submitted! They don't care!URGENT-CM-108738 P004761396 C29840676 Asking For Status [#113340822]

Claims
Filing a claim is easy and fast with them. Their app is straightforward and user-friendly. I just provided all necessary details and medical documents — all set! I receive my claims within a few days.I only had to call their customer support once (the first time using their service) and she was very helpful in guiding me through what to do. Tip: Make sure you have the toll-free number for your country. Click Contact Us > Toll-Free Numbers on their app.

The most absurd thing is that i didn't…
The most absurd thing is that i didn't even get to onboard with these guys.. Ignorant behaviour when answering questions or giving quotes.Anyway feels like a scam of some sort as the emphasis is just to SELL SELL SELL...They just want a quick SELL and if you ask more questions they disappear and ignore you!! There is a saying - a fish rots from the HEAD DOWN. So if there is an upper management that actually gives a damn, they should look at their sellers' or brokers' ethics and behaviour ! THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT !!!

Good payment times and app, but difficult to get hold of on the phone
Good healthcare coverage, and quick payment times when claiming online on the app. No more picky over claims than any other health insurance company. But - very difficult to get hold of on the telephone (many minutes waiting) on an international number to Ireland. When you get through it is usually someone else's problem, and they can't be contacted by telephone.Overall I would recommend them, unless you are someone who needs the reassurance of being able to contact by phone.
