Avoid at All Costs – Terrible Service and Irresponsible Billing PracticesI am beyond frustrated with the level of incompetence and sheer negligence I’ve encountered with this company. The misbilling is absolutely out of control, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, no one is willing to take accountability or return my calls.After all of my oxygen and nitrous was picked up, I continued to receive double charges, and when I reached out to Becky for clarification, she assured me she would review - then never returned any calls. This is not just poor customer service—it’s downright disrespectful. I’ve been promised follow-ups and assistance, but after weeks of chasing, I’ve been completely ignored.It’s utterly ridiculous to have to fight for something as simple as a corrected bill, and the total lack of communication from this company speaks volumes about how little they value their customers. I highly suggest looking elsewhere unless you enjoy being constantly overcharged and completely disregarded.

On June 10th took a brand-new Oxygen/ Acetylene set of tanks and took them to Air Gas in Wilmington, NC. I told them I wanted my new tanks returned to me as my name was on both tanks (Jones). They told me that that could be done and would take 3 to 4 weeks. I stop into the store front in Wilmington on July 8th and told the tanks had not been returned yet. The store manager got on the phone and left the manager a voice mail supposedly. I went back on Aug. 11th to retrieve my tanks but they only had one and no excuse or reason where my other tank way. This is by far the worst excuse for customer service that anyone can expect from company. During this 2 month period of time I never once received any kind of update. This is totally unacceptable.

This company is sneaky! I brought in a size 60 75-25 tank to get a filled one, they thought they were doing me a favor by giving me a size 80 instead and were doing the hush hush thing. like they were helping me with the bigger tank. (this tank is too heavy to carry up anywhere), BUT that's not the big deal, The big deal is they charged me $74.00 for the fill. Then a Cyl Processing fee of $4.89. and an AIRGAS Hazmat Charge of $26.41. Then a term-of-sale fee of $3.04. but that's not all, a state tax of $6.50 & County tax of $.54. For a total of $115.38. When I told them I wanted to return the tank, I was told "We Do Not RETURN GAS. I took the tank and the spanking and left. I went down the street not even 2 miles on the same side of Division Ave to Roberts Oxygen company. Gave them my 125 tank to exchange. Same 75-25 Argon and the bill was $40.47. This only had the fl sales tax. so the 125 tank was $38.00 plus the $2.47 sales tax. I feel like a dumb ass to get robed the was I did. Never again. AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE THAT I CAN ABOUT THIS COMPANY. I will move my 3 accounts to ROBERTS OXYGEN COMPANY 1105 S. DIVISION AVE ORLANDO FLA. 32805, (321)477-0553 and I will talk to my son who is an instructor in the welding field of what happened to me.

I am a small business owner who has been using air gas for a few years now. I own a small automotive repair shop. I had a discrepancy on a bill witch my wife usually handles. Luckily I got involved and found out that when we signed up to lease tanks they did it wrong and was charging us for rentals. If you don't no that is a insane amount of money difference. So I contact customer support and then the manager at the moraine store. He was very nice told me he would get with higher ups in the company and see what we could do to make this right. Told me he would call me back in no longer than two days. Call never came, I called store and asked for him several time over the next month. I left messages with employees and on voice mail. S i called customer service got switched around a few times and finally got an answer from a nice lady who actually at least did call me back from a general service customer service center. I was told they would switch me to a lease to fix it and do nothing for the few years they overcharged me. So I paid what ever my account owed and canceled my account. Ignored for a month while being avoided while I called after being charged a insane amount of money for there mistake with no solutions. Thats not how I do business and I will not be treated like that.This is the morain Ohio store

Customer service is non existent. Overcharging, over selling, and you are nothing but a number on a balance sheet.They screwed up on our account for YEARS and have yet to own up or even mention crediting back even a portion of the hundreds if not thousands of dollars they overcharged us on a closed location.Do yourself a favor and find a local company, we are currently looking to switch now.This company is not what it used to be, we have been a customer for well over 20 years, what a shame.

We live in Lady Lake, Fl. We can only get deliveries on Tuesday and Thursday in our area, according to the company. I had an appointment for today, they called said they couldn't make it out, they could be here Thursday. Doesn't help us out. His tank is empty i have to work, leave my house by 9 he works everyday, I take him before 7 until 530pm at least somedays are later. The delivery service for us not living closer to wherever it is sent out of needs to be available Monday through Friday. We are out and he cant get refilled something he needs to have to live? Doesn't make sense to me. Very upset accomidations cant be made since your people are the ones that cant keep the appointment.

stole my money
I bought from them (Livonia, MI) a tank (5 lbs co2) to refill my soda canister. i didn't use the tank for few months then my canisters got empty. I start to refill it but it will not work. I went to the store with the receipt and mike told me that the tank was almost empty, meaning they sold me an empty tank for 120$. i asked to exchange for a full one for free. Mike refused claiming it was bought too long ago. So what? what a lame excuse. don't go there at least in this storejm

Terrible experience at the Culver City…
Terrible experience at the Culver City facility. I returned a small cylinder and was told where to put it was not offered a receipt and assumed perhaps a stupidly that because the cylinders were individually serialized they would track it to my account. They did not and now they just keep billing every month and refuse to shut the account down. I suspect that this is a device of theirs to increase profits but perhaps litigation will discover the truth. Even worse they ghost me on any attempt to discover where the cylinder went and what prevents them from closing down the account. Whether it's accounting , the local facility, or the account executive they simply do not return calls or emails terrible business

We had a verbal agreed upon price , and each time we placed an order the amount kept going up and I would only notice after the fact on my CC statement and each time I would need to call for adjustment . Now it had more than doubled in a year and told no refund and no further adjustments . Watch your Charge card if they have it on file if you own a business .. Bad business

The one star rating is generous. The company used to be great but over the course of the past ten years, it’s gone to complete poo poo. We specifically have used the Harvey, LA branch and mannnn, if you wanna find some garbage employees - look there. Scotty and Tommy specifically are extremely rude and unprofessional. Kenny is not much better but the entire branch has shown they don’t give a rats behind about the customers. Throw the peace sign up and leave AirGas! There are much better companies out there. We switched and have been so happy!

We have been with airgas for over 10 years and everything was fine until this year when out of nowhere they started losing our checking account information, causing them to not be able to take the payment, it's ridiculous that it happened over and over and over again that we decided to cancel, apart from everything at the time of informing you of their carelessness they treat you like a criminal, very poor service

This company is complete garbage
This company is complete garbage. Over the past 3 months I have received multiple oxygen 6 packs that leak , which anyone knows oxygen and fire causes explosions and i have had the delivery drivers take my full canisters and leave the empties. Not to mention that trying to get ahold of anyone is a joke, no matter how many messages you leave.. Horrible service and if you want your building to blow up then this is the company for you.
