I had a very bad experience with Zoosk. I believe many of the profiles are fake, and the platform does not properly verify users. I felt the system was unfair because men have to pay to use messaging, while women can use it for free. After raising concerns about this, my account was banned, even though I did not break any rules.I paid AUD $170.99 for a one-year subscription to give Zoosk a proper try. After a few months, I realised it was a waste of time and money. Many profiles had no photos or real names and were just listed as “Zoosk Member.” This makes it hard to know who is real. Other dating sites at least require a photo and a name. Most of the matches shown to me were older than what I was looking for, and many profiles did not match my preferences. I also could not adjust the settings properly to change the age range I wanted to see. The advertising made Zoosk sound much better than it really is. Overall, I regret paying for this service and would not recommend it.
This website is a total fraud. Most of the profiles are fake. Do not waste your money or time.
They resolved the issue I had in a respectful and timely manner. I respect the manner which they did it. I am grateful for the fact that they. Helped. And believe that they are. One of the best. Online dating services. And continue. Using them in the future. me in this manner Thank you for your customer service.
Some female profiles were fake, i was banned by their admin for exposing how females didn't have to pay for their subscription but males did .... I didn't breach any guidelines etc they banned me for exposing the truth. Please guys don't use this platform it's a total scam go and use another dating platform it's ridiculous how guys have to pay extra to contact a female on that platform
Waste of time and money for young men in Australia. 2 older male friends recommended Zoosk so gave it a try. One is divorced with adult children, and gets regular dates in AUS. The other is American and met his wife and got married, but was not doing well in life and settled for what he could get. I'm a successful young professional and in a good place in life. I keep fit and in shape. I’m ready to date or even marry and settle down. I thought this would be a great and modern way to meet people. It is NOT!I paid AUD $170.99 with PayPal for 1 year subscription to give it a serious try. It is setup for auto renewal fee so you have to cancel it early. It was not easy to navigate or find. You should not have to worry about such things. It’s like a scam. Wish I didn't pay for that long. After a few months I knew it was a waste of time and money. The app system works by you making a profile. There’s no fail safes. Members can make an account with no profile pic or name so they leave it as default “Zoosk Member”. They don't even bother to put a name. Shows how crap this app is and the people on it. Ridiculous and waste of time. Other dating sites require a photo and a basic name, heck many use a nick name or fake alias. You can like a members profile and then message them. You get notified if another member views, likes, or messages your profile. It's a simple, slow and old system which is not good for anyone. Only a handful of young women replied. A few old and young viewed my profile in the first few months. No actual meet ups or dates. Get use to many fake profiles along the way. I regularly report and blocked them. I think these online platforms actually makes fake profiles to keep you interested and paying subscription fees. Other young male friends have the same experience and feedback. The best woman who replied was interstate and we built a friendship. Phone called with audio and video, and texted. She also shared similar notes of members being too old for her and not happy with the platform. Just friends and too far away so I decided to move on from her. Similar pattern with other dating apps. In comparison I've had better success on Tinder. Again wastes a lot of time but at least I had responses and occasional date once a year on the free version. Most on Zoosk were older women in late 30's and 40+. Many divorced with kids. That's too old for me right now and not what I'm looking for. Why I mentioned 2 older mates had good luck with it. Maybe better for men in their 50's+ and or already divorced. After some heavy research approximately 9% or less of the population is online dating. It’s hard to gauge as it’s often private and personal. This is a very small amount of people online dating and a majority are men. Ratio of 10 men to 1 woman. With that massive difference it's very hard for men online dating. The women on these apps are very picky and look down on men. Often playing games with so many guys messaging and lining up. They waste your time just for attention or playing you to get material things like free drinks, meals and gifts. That said Zoosk had less scammers, but less real responses too. You are qualifying them, not the other way around. Don't waste your time and money on them. Don't believe all the advertising and marketing hype and lies. These dating platforms are trying to sell their product and get your money. Save your time, energy, and money. You would be better off spending your hard earned money on actual relationship training or personal development. Books, courses, etc. Seriously you'll get more out of it and have better relationship and interpersonal skills. And of course going out and actually meeting people in your area. I made the effort to try meet people both day and night. Paid for a coffee, soda, or venue entry fee. Often not fancy and daily life stuff. I met more people in 1 month than 1 year on Zoosk! I quit drinking alcohol but went out to a club. I ordered a soda and met a gorgeous women at the bar. She was also sober and noticed me “Hey you’re not drinking? Neither am I”. We hit it off. Great conversation, smiling laughing and flirting all night. She just broke up with her ex-boyfriend because he was heavy into drugs and wasn’t ready for another boyfriend yet. Still a great first date. It cost me the club entry fee and a soda. I never would have met her on Zoosk or any other dating app. A good attractive woman is not using these dating apps. You must get out and meet them in real life.
A waste of my time and money. 90% of the guys on here are just looking for someone who lives close by so that they can get a quicky. Not one of them are genuinely prepared to go the extra mile to meet a decent woman. Don't waste your money.
I always get the ugliest and oldest women's photos set to me, these women look like my mother or older, no good choices and I can't change the settings to adjust the ages. This site is a waste of my time and energy, I am glad I never wasted my money here. And another thing, this is my second attempt, the first time a scammer hacked my account an got me blocked from the sight, failed security here...
Fake profiles. ...try to message people that like me and they don't exist
Hi I work for a middle school located in Trenton New Jersey. Our students watch your show an come into school an act it out this show is tearing our children apart. They are more so fighting more then learning we as educators an administrative staff have exhausted everything to correct there behavior. My child personally had her first fight an said mommy I didn’t know I could fight! I said oh really she said BADDIES taught me!!!!!! So if you guys have this sort of impact do something with school and enjoying class let’s redirect this all ages are watching.
They steal your money, and offer you nothing.
Decided to try Zoosk again, bad mistake! What they do is you pick your filters to match the types of men you're looking for and Zoosk goes in and changes them all to include men who are not even close to being my type! This way it looks like you have many more choices than you actually do. I keep having to go back in and put my own filters in. They show the same men over and over and even the ones you already rejected.
Man, let me tell ya. I paid for a three-month subscription for zoosk membership figuring, well, I got to put in the time if I want a reasonable amount of time back for responses, you know. So I load up my one single photo, I am 50 Y.O single male, pretty decent looking man, not like, a woman would look at me and first thing is "YUCK"! which should not matter in the first place if they are looking or going matter just looks, but man, after one month already, not one, one! single response, but it's ok, I get it, and the women on there, 95% of them, Damm! UGLY! I am sorry, but true, and the cute ones, forget it, won't even message you back. Oh well, who's to blame?
The website is impossible to navigate. They keep sending people from far away - extremely frustrating. Customer service is slow. It's too bad.
I have been a member of zoosk on and off since 2020. I live in central FL. Zoosk asked me to fill out a short form with the following information so they could refer the preferred women to me such as: ethnicity, marital status, religion, smoker, distance from my home, etc. My preferences are: white women, single, never married, divorced, Christian, non smokers, Only 20-50 miles from my home. What they sent me was: women from out of state, i.e. Calif., NY, TX, NC, etc. Non white women, separated women, still married. I have NO interest in becoming a 3rd wheel in a relationship. Non Christian womeni.e. Buddhist, Agnostic, etc. Smoker, both socially and regularly. Another problem, young women who say they are 60-70, really in their 20's and 30's. They also write their telephone number over their picture. So they can get the man off of Zoosk and talk to them offline. Their goal is to have men give them money. Zoosk does not do ANY vetting. Many members download pictures off the internet and post them as their picture. Also, they lie about their age & location. Several are located off shore. Women in Florida out number mrn 8 to 1. Finally, zoosk has attempted several times to bill me 2 days after I cancelled my membership. I instructed my Bank to block zoosk from my acct. Buyer Beware!
Suspended my account because they detected unusual activity. I've no idea w.t.f they mean. Avoid at all costs ...
Zoosk Dating app isn't a good dating site. You can't message anyone or see the photos of guys who like you, unless you subscribe to the service. I recently talked to a subscriber and I was able to message him back. I ended up meeting him in person. I later learned that the man lied to me and was actually married. I reported the information to Zoosk. I gave the site the man's name and his wife's name along with their Facebook and Instagram pages. I was hoping Zoosk would look into it and delete the man's account for being a fraud. Zoosk didn't do anything about it. The site has alot of scammed. If I could I would give Zoosk Dating site a zero. I would not recommend it
Zoosk is the worst dating app ever. I get scam alerts every day. Totally a waste of time money and your privacy. And the ladies on the site are anti social. You have a better chance of getting a date at Walmart.
Far too many reports from zoosk stating that thet hsd to kick this person off the site fotlr illegal activity. Also far too many false or closed example of people no longer using site. Your just throwing your money away.
Worst dating site ever! Paid £19 for the month and had over 50 ppl who “wanted to meet me”. I messaged a few that I thought may be interesting but got no response from none of them. Infact I got not a single message back for the whole month that I was subscribed! Either the profiles are fake or Zoosk’s administrators block the comms between potential suitors to keep people from meeting so that you can stay on this site longer! 🤷🏻♀️
