Completely Unreliable – Still Owe Us Money After 8 Months
White Hart Developments has proven to be one of the most unprofessional and irresponsible companies we've ever worked with. They have refused to pay us for services completed over 8 months ago. We've sent countless emails, texts, and made phone calls — all of which have been completely ignored. We’ve even tried to contact Keith and Maria, directly, but they refuse to respond. This level of disregard for basic business ethics is shocking. They happily take the work but vanish when it’s time to pay.If you're thinking about working with them — think again. This company has shown nothing but disrespect, dishonesty, and evasion. No business deserves to be treated this way.

Unreliable and Dishonest – A Company to Stay Away From
White Hart Developments has completely failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism. We’ve been waiting for over 8 months for payment on completed work, and throughout this time, they have consistently ignored every attempt at communication — phone calls, messages, and emails have all gone unanswered. This isn’t just a delay — it’s a deliberate avoidance of responsibility. Their behavior is unacceptable for any business claiming to operate with integrity. They’ve shown zero respect for contractual obligations and even less for the people they work with.I would strongly warn anyone thinking of doing business with White Hart Developments: do not trust them. Their lack of communication, failure to pay, and total disregard for professional ethics make them a serious liability.

Honest and trustworthy Development company
In an industry where property developers and agents over value and under deliver, I have found that White Hart Developments always acted in an honest, professional manner and have always represented our best interests. The Team of White Hart Developments have exceeded our expectations and have always well informed buyers feedback and buyers progress during their purchase. When working with their team, I have always been pleasantly surprised by their honest and realistic views on property values. One of the most reputable Property companies in Hertfordshire!

Highly recommended
We purchased one of the Hertford Brewery flats from White Hart Developments over a year ago. The moment we walked in we were blown away by the stylish design, creativity and the attention to detail. The Director of the company was very professional and the whole team of White Hart Developments were very helpful from start to finish. Can’t recommend them enough!

GRAND DESIGN AND SERVICE INDEED
Keith, Stephen and the team at White Hart Developments have been great from start to finish with the purchase of my stunning barn conversion.I was able to agree to puchase the barn during the renovation and they let me tweak the layout, kitchen design and flooring options and I now have my dream home. Like with a lot of newly renovated old buildings there has been a couple of little things that have needed to be put right and these have been done quickly and to my satisfaction.I would gladly recommend White Hart Developments to anyone thinking of buying one of their properties.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM
In my opinion White Hart are the most dishonest people I have ever dealt with. They're headed by a very rude MD and a sales director who has not honoured a single promise. If you're thinking of doing ANY business with them whatsoeverSTOP RIGHT NOW, TURN AROUND AND WALK AWAYI've been in contact with several other buyers and I can't find anyone who has a good word to say about White Hart. Not one. I did a handshake deal with Sales Director Steve Mills and MD Keith Ashman in April of 2015 to buy a property on the understanding it would be ready to occupy "4-6 weeks" later and with my approval on interior spec. Almost 2 years later the most horrendous business transaction I will ever be involved with finally came to a close and I was left several thousand pounds out of pocket in a home that had very significant omissions and a cheap finish. As soon as White Hart had a signed exchange contract, they showed their true colours, one shade of brown after another. After exchange I spent 3 months chasing Steve Mills who seemed to be at more funerals than the town vicar. He's either lost every friend he'd ever had and all his family members, or he is a very unimaginative liar. Alarm bells began ringing7 months in, no progress had been made and the £1250 speakers I'd given them to install had gone missing. They'd been signed for by a staff member and kept in a locked building but after unboxing one on site I never saw them again. They later claimed I'd stolen them myself!8 months in and they demanded an extra £35,000 to finish the property to the specification we'd agreed. Their bill included £11,000 for dressing room shelving, several thousand for flooring which had been included in every other property on the development, and they had added a 25% markup for "Profit and Overheads". They claimed months later when challenged that their previously fully itemised £35,000 was actually to pay for stairs! Their solicitor Michael Devane of Martin Shepherd was always happy to change their story and I found both White Hart and Michael Devane to have an extremely maliable attitude to the truth, depending on what suited them at the time.15 months in and they and their solicitor were refusing to even tell me how the property would look inside or grant me access. I could see from the outside they had omitted 4 windows to the rear elevation which were never installed (causing the place to be a sweat box in warm weather), but knowing I was keen to see inside, they papered up the remaining windows! This is all a breach of the Consumer Code for Home Builders by the way, but those guidelines were summarily ignored when produced in correspondence.16 months in and they they'd ripped up the floors after water had penetrated the building. They claimed I'd broken in to vandalise the place myself! Actually the guttering had not been properly fitted and rainwater was coarsing down the walls, likely pooling and penetrating the building. I also discovered that the entire development was ILLEGALLY connected to the gas, water and electricity. After many months of claiming they would sort it, I actually organised the connection of gas myself and at my own cost in order to complete. In December of 2016 I completed. They maintained to the bitter end that the entire debacle was MY FAULT and had refused to complete until I APOLOGISED TO THEM. For the sake of my own sanity I forced myself to write a cursory email to end the nightmare. I confess, every word of my apology was through gritted teeth and the entire sorry paragraph represents the biggest falsehood I have ever committed to words. Even then they refused to hand over the keys When I moved in I quickly changed the locks, found the finish to be poor, saw there was an entire shower missing, the floor was the cheapest available and already in disrepair and every electrical item seems to have come from Argos. They've refused to carry out repairs or address snagging and my last email from Keith Ashman ended with "go away now, there's a good boy".DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, WALK AWAY

Terrible Company
If there was a zero star rating these guys would get it. In my opinion complete cowboys. As some examples:1) They have built a parking space on a neighbour's land without planning permission or permission from the neighbour. When this was pointed out the response was along the lines of "if you don't like it we'll rip it up and if it turns out to be our land we'll stick a skip on it".2) They abused private land for parking and when challenged on this by the company that manages the land became aggressive.3) They have threatened legal action against neighbours for speaking with prospective purchasers and sharing their opinion.4) Despite promising a premium development the water board have apparently said they were unaware of the connection being made, there are no phone lines into most of the houses, much of the finishing work was shoddy with garage doors being filled with silicone and repainted weekly.5) They removed a boundary fence causing a gap to appear by the neighbour's gate. Despite promising to resolve this they never did.The vast majority of purchasers I've spoken to have been deeply unhappy with White Hart and my advice to anyone considering buying from them is run a mile.
