I live in Belgium and decided to use voi steps to go to work. They charge 5eu warranty calculate your ride and refund the diffrence. The first time things went wrong with the app. I ended up paying 3 time 5eu warranty for 1 ride. I had to email them and luckily got refunded after a whole verification of my account. A huge waste of energy and time. The second time i thought of taking a subscription of 12,99eu a month since that would only cost me 1 euro per ride. But what i didnt know was that they still charged the 5eu warranty. So you pay 12,99eu a month PLUS 5eu/ride PLUS 1euro/ride. So i thought why pay 5eu plus 1 eu. But its not mentioned in the subscription. I emailed them and they said thats how it it. Yet after my email mysteriously the 5eu warranty per ride dropped and i ended up paying the 1eu per ride as mentioned in the subscription fees. Weird. They probably didnt want to refund me. I didnt have the energy to figure this out and was just happy to pay 1eu per ride (plus 12,99eu). But then one day my card got declined. And after fixing the problem with my card, i had to pay 5euro AGAIN PLUS 1 EUR per ride. And nig being refunded or payed back the 5eu. The services are truely messed up. I emailed them AGAIN. Demanding an explanation. Long story short VOI owes me 1 x 12,99eu. 5 x 5eu and other refunds i m still calculating from previous months. I asked them to stop my subscription immediately. They said if i cancelled immediately i would not be refunded. So i have to wait until my money is payed back before canceling my subscription. And guess what. It s the start of the month which means i will have to pay my subscription for this month before receiving my money. So thats a waste too. I m extremely disappointed by the voi services and am switching to bolt or lime. Pure ripp off. Not to mention my brother s experience with voi. He s been paying 15eu a month for the same subscription i have. The prices have been changed since he subsribed to voi which was in 2024. And they never informed him that the price has.gone down. So now he too is getting a refund. Only they re refusing to pay the whole of 2025 that he paid too much. I wouldn't recommend VOI to annyone. Pls check your account regularly if you use VOI.
I had had a good experience with them but tonight was really poor, disappointing!!! I hired one tonight after my work for a 10 minute ride home. I unlocked and started my ride but as I got to my designated parking station and spot and tried to end my ride, I could not end the ride and it kept saying find a park spot! The timer on my app wouldn't stop and ran to about 25 minutes for a 10 minute ride!!! So rather than getting charged £1.60 I got charged £4.48! Disappointing and Annoying! (Also customer contact is difficult had to use chat robot)
Unfortunately deleting your account bans you forever from the app and they tell me there is no way to fix it. This means I can never become a paying customer. I’ll just have to use lime bikes or something instead. One of the strangest customer services experiences I’ve received
Expensive, nearly £50 in 2 weeks, just a few trips around Cambridge a 6 minute ride costing £2.68 is bonkers...... delete, don't use, avoid.
Having misunderstood the guidelines, I was treated with sympathy and helped to understand.
Advertised price on the bike is €2.99 for 3 minutes. I was charged €16.75 for 67 minutes. Crooks.
You cannot trust this website. I booked a hotel on the website. After I booked, I checked the address of the hotel on Google and found out the hotel was several hundred meters away from the location shown on the Voi.com website. The Voi.com in the beginning did not accept this cheating, but when I insisted and sent screenshots of Google Maps with the hotel address then they acted as if this was a small error. I was forced to accept the very inconvenient location, too far and uphill. The customer service was the worst and stubborn. They not only did not offer any compensation, but also offered an eyewash10% discount, or cancellation of booking if hotel management agrees.I strongly recommend never booking your stay with Voi.com. I am still waiting for the result of my request to cancel my booking and compensation after more than a week of back-and-forth correspondence.
I’m done with VOIWhat kind of bike service traps you in one area with no clear way out?For the past 30 minutes I’ve been stuck because of this ridiculous new “operating area restriction” system. I’m literally 10 minutes away from home, but the app won’t let me end the ride unless I somehow guess the right direction to go. The map gives no intuitive guidance. No arrows, no route, no help. Just a vague shaded area and silence.Even the so-called designated parking spots shown in the app don’t let you end the ride. So what is the point of showing them?On top of that, there are no incentives. If VOI wants to limit where we can ride or park, the least they could do is offer a £1 discount or bonus credit for following the rules. But no. Just punishment, frustration, and wasted time.I’ve tried to stay loyal to VOI but this latest experience made the service completely unusable. Unless they fix this mess and start treating users with respect, I’m deleting the app and never riding VOI again.Avoid at all costs.🚲❌
Very bad very poor
be careful the voi bike I was on does not have a phone holder which led to my phone breaking . if your going to a place with a unfamiliar route do not use voi there's no phone holder to follow directions
I did a group ride today and bought two passes, however it charged per minute for the second scooter. Nowhere does it mention that the pass doesn't work for group rides. Scammed me out of 311 sek and the support will not help me further.
The company selling these scooters are such bad quality that the welding can break mid drive!!!After contacting the company about it they said they could only reimburse some money for the one Trip but would not do anything else, since the customer should check ifthe scooter is ready to drive.Well guess what, i cant see micro cracks when something is welded
Absolute rubbish!Charged twice for a half an hour ride.Cant get customer service. Nowher to complain. Scam!
Useless bikes in London. The full central London map shows as a go-zone then once you unlock the bike, anywhere you wanted to go becomes a no-go zone. It also becomes impossible to pedal. I had to walk it 10 minutes the wrong way to park and then walk to work - arriving 40 minutes late.Support says "you were in a no-go zone" while I am clearly looking at a map indicating the area as a go-zone. I see rows upon rows of their bikes parked at key parking points on the walk to work while being told by support it is a no-go zone. I unlocked one, which the app allowed, then it lit up all the red lights and tried to force me to relocate it to the other side of the river - without the ability to pedal.I spent over a half hour with support trying to figure when and if I could use the remainder of my one day pass. They said look at the map. I looked at the map and it did not agree with anything support was telling me.I cannot use this bike to ride anywhere at the risk of it becoming unridable and me becoming a sherpa to relocate their bikes.
I’ve used Voi scooters a few times and generally liked the experience. But today I tried one of their bikes and ran into a major issue. Suddenly, almost all of London appeared as a no-ride zone—except for RBKC. The app still shows bikes and parking spots in these greyed-out areas, but when you try to ride there, the bike stops mid-journey without warning.Assuming it was an app glitch, I contacted support. Their response? “No fault – plan your trip in advance next time.” Completely unhelpful. (Meanwhile, other bike services work fine in these same areas.)Worse, I missed an important meeting because of this and was refused a refund for my unused 30-minute bundle. Not even a goodwill gesture.I expected clearer communication and better customer care! P.S. Also, sometime before this, I completed their in-app road guide test, which promised 30 free minutes—but nothing ever appeared in the app.
The company unexpectedly withdrew money from my account. I had to report it after a week, or they would have ignored it, and I would have kept paying for services I wasn’t using.
I have recovered this bike which was dumped. I have hoped because it was my first ride it will be free, but it wasn’t. If you don’t enter the code you won’t get your first ride for free. And I didn’t see the option to enter the code. It is obvious that my ride is first because I just created the account, why complicating this with a code. Also, don’t use “sign up with Apple” because their email support recommends to use email associated with the account, if you use Apple, you won’t have the email. Spent 20 minutes using chat support and still didn’t get the refund. Was asked for pictures and taking academy course. After taking the course still didn’t got the refund. The support chat didn’t work properly, other person couldn’t see the screenshots.
They are luring people in for free rides and charge you twice every month without you knowing that. Fraudulent company - don’t recommend
Previously, I've been happy with Voi but the last couple of months, the app has been glitching, showing me scooters where there are none. The app also told me my monthly pass was still active but then I took a ride and it charged me full price. The customer service is absolutely terrible, especially the guy I spoke to today (Sadaf). Sad to say I will have to use another service going forward.
