this company is scamming riders out of…

this company is scamming riders out of their money! if your local to the capital region use D&A ride share, it’s reliable and fair! i’m so upset with Uber, it took over an hour and 1/2 one day to find me a driver, and another day i even tried several times to schedule reserved rides and had horrible situations happen. yesterday was the last straw. i reserved a ride the night before to be safe, only to end up waiting the follow morning passed my scheduled pick up time, no communication from uber or the driver that no one was coming to get me. I had to request another ride on the spot, pay MORE for a speedy pick up on top of having been charged for the reserved ride i never took and still waiting for a refund! not to mention i was over a 1/2 hour late to work dealing with this fiasco. I live in a very busy part of town where i see ubers all the time. i feel there is no reason for this but NEVER again will i use Uber. its not reliable in any way!!!

Uber does not have customer service for riders

Uber does not have customer service for riders. You can never actually communicate with a person about an issue. Will never pre-arrange a flight pick-up again since the driver can never come for you and still get paid. According to the map driver's car had not moved in 30 minutes, he was not coming to get me, but if the as the rider I cancel the driver gets $30 and Uber does not care that your waiting forever. No way to provide proof to Uber the driver was not coming.

Since I place order around 18pm and now is 20h05 and they still extend Arrival time , I just hate this app now I am just holding bcz its already late , I so hate you guys , ordering online is not bcz we want food for fun but bcz we are hungry

Feeling soo bad to write about Uber and…

Feeling soo bad to write about Uber and its team behaviour. I met with an accident on 24th Feb, 2025. I had fracture, underwent surgery due to negligence of the rider..He took me from another route saying "uber will not pay money for more Kms..my petrol will waste". Rider was continuously on call while driving bike. He also sent away the other person who was involved in the accident. Speaking as if nothing happened.This is ridiculous. How can we trust uber next time? The way I was treated is bad. I felt abandoned and alone on the road. Felt insecure in the day time itself. I am a helpless woman, so I was treated this way and left.Yesterday also we reported to Uber. The shocking thing is uber didn't take action for this delicate issue. It means you people are not concerned about the lives of people you are only focused on making money. By this live example, I request all citizens to be careful with the riders. Later, no one will be for help. Especially woman, don't take uber bike rides. They are irresponsible.

Uber deliberately canceled my ride I booked a head of time at 9:24 for my aid worker to be picked up at 10:20 and dropped off at my house st 10:25 so she would have to wsit so long for our public busses but I see a driver and just take the ride and then immediately dtop it uber clames it was a technical issue I don’t believe them they fo it all the time to different people I heard my friend say they’ve had the same problem out of uber as well

You need a better company to look into…

You need a better company to look into the background checks because the checkr company sucks , you make people go through a mission just to work for you guys but when someone complains about not getting a food order , you guy are fast to terminate their account , idiots

Completely incompetent customer service

Either their human agents are functionally illiterate, or they are assisted by some kind of AI that misreads customer service requestrequests routinely. I tried to get an issue resolved and three times instead of resolving my issue they canceled my Uber one membership even though I didn’t want them to

There is a new scam happening

There is a new scam happening. I told the driver that the payment was already completed, but he kept saying that he did not receive it. He repeatedly insisted that I make the payment again. Because of this, I paid a second time. Now two payments have been deducted from my account.The driver has not returned my money yet. I also have image proof of both payments.Please look into this matter and refund my extra payment as soon as possible.

I'm a frequent Uber rider

I'm a frequent Uber rider. I always tip and I typically take the same routes and destinations when I use it. However, when I had a problem with an unexpected fare hike, I was blown off by their AI customer service bot and given no relatable options for my issue to be taken care of. Their customer service for riders... and riders are their cash cow... is absolutely awful. I bet if those who use Uber stop tipping completely, they'll change the way they handle their valuble customers once drivers complian about the money they're losing and start driving elsewhere. So I propose that EVERYone stop tipping Uber drivers so the company can give their riders better customer service options and responses. Good customer service isn't just for customers... it's also benefits the driver when a rider feels valued as a customer when errors are made. I'm tired of people getting rich for treating the people who make them rich like s**t. For instance, Uber will give you a 5% fare discount, then raise the fare 10-20% and they bank on you being stupid enough to overlook that. And if they raise fares to make up for the tip losses, use Lyft or another rider service instead and watch Uber drivers transfer over under better customer service. So, it's time to teach Uber and their "to hell with 'em" attitude a financial lesson they'll never forget.

on 20Feb i booked an Uber, they deducted money off my account and still took cash for the person i booked it for. They ended up giving it to me in my wallet. which disappeared without me even using the money. Just give my damn money back into my account and not uber wallet

Taxi Late and cant do anything about it

Car broke down, was going to the airport so booked an uber for 12:30 plenty of time two three hours in advance no problem now the driver says he won't arrive until 12:58 then 13.15hrs what is the point of paying extra to book in advance if they can't be asked to arrive on time now the time for arrival is getting longer and longer... what's the point .. yet another let down Britain #letdown 🇬🇧 😪

I had a bad experience this morning…

I had a bad experience this morning with a driver of car number plate MF21 WFER. The driver asked for my postcode to confirm the address, which was understandable. However, he then started asking me personal questions, such as whether I travel often. I did not want to answer or engage in conversation with him.He then told me to get out of the car, but I refused because I had done nothing wrong. He called Uber, and they advised him to call the police.Eventually, he drove me back to my house and apologised.I honestly do not understand what is happening these days. Even the people who are supposed to provide a safe service are causing stressful experiences. He was also recording me, which made me feel very uncomfortable.

They only care about maximizing shareholder value

This company only cares about investors' returns and shareholders value, they are squeezing everything penny out of customers' wallets to maximise the profit. Customer service plays tricks on customers by just logging their enquiries and replying through email to say "problem solved" while nothing has been done, some of the customer service reps also hang up on customers. It's dominant in the market until it's not, let's see.

Driver cancellations are ruining the experience

Missed the first twenty minutes of a concert last month because three drivers in a row accepted my ride and then cancelled within a minute of each other, probably because my destination wasn't worth their time. By the time someone actually committed to picking me up the surge had kicked in and I paid almost double the original estimate. Uber's response when I complained was a two dollar credit. Two dollars.

Booking fees

The charge for the ride was $17.49. Then they added an $11 booking fee. I didn’t order in advance. I just did the usual order a ride at the time I needed it. The booking fee is close to an additional 65% add on. That is just wrong. Sad because at one time, uber was great. Now it’s greedy garbage.

honestly the worst experience - I am still trying to work through letting them know I might have left my phone in their car and unable to contact then to get my phone back. I will never use them again and will urge everyone I know to not either

What Safety!

Dear Uber CEO and Board Members,I am writing to formally raise a serious safety and customer service concern following a distressing experience involving my elderly parents and their friends, all aged over 80.They ordered a ride home from a remote village location late in the evening. A driver accepted the trip, and based on that confirmation we left them to travel home using our own transport, which arrived as expected according to the app.After completing our 20-minute journey home, shortly after 11pm, we discovered that my parents were still waiting outside in the cold and rain. The original driver had effectively handed off the ride to another driver, and their waiting time had extended to over 30 minutes.This situation involved vulnerable elderly passengers, at night, in poor weather, and in a remote location. I believe this is not simply a service inconvenience — it is a significant safety concern. When a driver accepts a ride, customers should be able to rely on that commitment, particularly when vulnerable passengers are involved. Allowing ride hand-offs without ensuring passenger safety protections are in place is deeply concerning.I then attempted to contact customer support to raise an urgent safety complaint. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to reach anyone, and when I did make contact, I received no meaningful assistance or reassurance that this issue would be addressed.I find this deeply troubling from a company that publicly promotes safety and customer focus as core principles. I urge you to review policies relating to ride acceptance, driver hand-offs, and emergency support access for vulnerable passengers, particularly during late-night journeys.I sincerely hope that improvements are made so that no other family has to experience a similar situation.Yours faithfully, Rob Mitchell

Two journeys, one inconsiderate driver, and one with terrible BO.

Two journeys, to and from the A&E department of Cheltenham General hospital.The driver there stopped half way up the road, and many metres from my house. I was going to A&E with a suspected broken foot. I hobbled up the road and got in. The driver was lovely, but unfortunately had personal hygiene issues, and I felt sick all the way. I have given 2 stars because he was nice.On the way back, several hours later, the driver hurtled up my road a full speed. I tried to call out for him to stop but he was listening to very load music. I had to ask, again, that he stop. Again, I was left having to hobble all the way down the road to my house.It isn't rocket science, is it? Someone travelling to A&E and back would indicate that they are perhaps in a lot of pain or stress.

I requested an Uber for my daughter on…

I requested an Uber for my daughter on Saturday, February 21. I was adviced via app that the total trip fare not including tax and other fees would be $88.29 one day later I received an email that my card was charged $105.51. The more concerning part is Uber have no way of being reached. There’s no email, no contact number absolutely no way in contacting Uber. My banking institution give me a toll free number and they were also unreachable by that number. My concern about this situation is if I had a most serious matter involving my daughter and a driver how would I be able to reach someone from Uber to obtain information? This is unacceptable and should be illegal.PS I had no issues with the driver he was professional, navigate well and respectful.
