Absolutely a scam
Absolutely a scam! Stay away! They are very unprofessional. Here's a description of what happened: - I am an Italian translator and linguist and I needed some official documents translated in a hurry so I decided to use a certified translation company. So I shopped around and was convinced by the positive reviews for translation shop on Trust Pilot to only find out that some of these reviews might be rigged and not from more real clients. - They took my documents and payment and said that they sent them to a certified Italian translator who would complete them for their first draft in 48 hrs. - I got the first draft somewhat around 48 hrs later (maybe a little later) but the quality of it was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. - Not only they did not translate word for word (which is a requirement of the Italian consulate and that I hade specified in my request) but they also translated in a non native and legal jargon. It sounded like somebody who is not a native Italian user translated it. - It also had dozens of egregious grammatical and spelling errors. - It also had text that was not part of the original documents and was taken from somewhere else. - I proceeded to mark up and edit the translated PDFs they sent me for 1st Draft and I communicated clearly what needed to be edited and I requested a second translator who hopefully was a native Italian user. -The next translator they paired me with was a native Italian user but did not apply all the edits I had requested. From the original 347 edits that I saw in the first draft, there were still about 60 edits that needed correction still in the 2nd draft.- I also ran the second draft through an Italian spell check and to my surprise, there were many spelling errors, at 2nd Draft!! If I had known this would be the service I would have received, I would have translated the documents myself , since I had to so much of it myself anyway, or I would have hired a different company.
