It was great until it was terrible
It was great until it was terrible. I had been seeing a therapist for 3 months every week And every time I made an appointment I saw a page pop up stating that I owed $0 co pay from my insurance company, so I kept making appointments. After 3 months of seeing this therapist (who was amazing, that was the only good part) they then started charging me HUNDREDS of $ at a time stating that they were for appointment from MONTHS before. We’re talking almost $500 came out at the same time in ONE day. After trying to contact them MULTIPLE times I had still gotten no response and there is no where for me to call so I had to angrily send in ANOTHER request for someone to reach out to me only for them to blame it on my insurance. IF THEY HAD JUST SENT THE APPROVALS TO MY INSURANCE FIRST THEN HAVE ME SCHEDULE I WOULDN'T HAVE SCHEDULED SO OFTEN. Overall I’m still very upset because they misled me on how much I was going to actually be charged after each visit and then charged me MONTHS after the fact.

Warning for anyone thinking of using…
Warning for anyone thinking of using this service. I tried it twice. 2 awful experiences 😪 First time, I had an insurance gap. i used their messaging app. Paid monthly. It was a bot or no one available. I had to repeat myself so many times! I left more stressed than when I signed on for anxiety. Tried cancelling their monthly fee. You get charged for 2 months. Second time, I have good insurance, my company listed it to use for stress reduction, had a $0 copay, and did not realize it was the same company who ripped me off once before. I signed up fully covered. Had Covid. Talkspace was not first on my mind with all of the meds taken. I canceled as soon as I remembered the appointment. I was charged. 2nd appointment, they had computer glitches IT issues with their app. I tried to sign in, but couldn't. They charged me $$$ & are harassing me daily by email and text to get it.As a woman, i refuse to see a man I never met while laying in bed in my pajamas ill. Computer issues are your problems, not mine. Sorry, Talkspace!!!! You are fired and I will warn as many people as I can! If you use their bot services, beware: don't work night shift have insomnia Have money issuesHave anxiety or PTSD Catch Covid, flu, heart attack, stroke, etcor have an type of emergency. Note: I cannot rate a therapist because in both subscriptions, I never met one!!!!You will pay. It is not set up for individuals who have a life. Companies should stop pretending like this is s helpful resource for their employees. It is not. Talkspace adds stress!!!

What a horrible experience
What a horrible experience. LPC Jennifer Banks was unaware it was a message session, she was unaware of any background prior to the session, she was completely unprepared, then abandoned the patient. Unprofessional, a waste of time, made things worse, Talkspace has not resolved our complaint for 23 days and still sending us a bill.

Talkspace: A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
I use Talkspace for therapy, but I’ve noticed they keep nudging you if you don’t schedule regularly. I recently got a message entitled “Monthly Check-In,” which was sent due to "low activity" on my account. I have weekly sessions with my therapist, but we’ve had some conflicting dates recently that interfered with our regular schedule. This is not normal for me. In an age where apps like Instagram or Twitter treat you like the product, I’ve come to realize that Talkspace is no different. If you're not using their service, if you don't hit their engagement ratios, Talkspace is not getting the most value out of you. I reached out to Customer Support because I was understandably upset about these emails. It’s therapy - the platform should have no major influence in deciding how often you need it, period. After I asked to be taken off the automated reports/emails they send out, I was contacted again and was told instantly by the support team to cancel my membership. Apparently there's no option to opt-out of these messages. With Talkspace, they're no different then the rest of the service apps out there. They are akin to UberEats or Doordash - they are the middle man who view you not like an individual who comes to the service for improvements in emotional and well-beinging. You are ultimately the product that they use to make their profits.

I appreciate the pace that my counselor…
I appreciate the pace that my counselor took me on through my sessions. Our connections were never fully in sync each time, but that was minor. I do wish I had more time through my employment insurer, but it has been an insightful journey.

I really enjoyed the ease of finding and connecting with my therapist. However, I am knocking some points off due to the technical challenges I face while I am talking to my therapist. For instance, oftentimes the website/app crashes in the middle of sessions and when I log back in either the sound or the camera is messed up.

Where has this been all my life?
Absolutely love the convenience of meeting remotely and having the autonomy to choose a provider based on my preferences. This is by far the best experience I've ever had with a counselor.

TalkSpace Review
I don't believe TalkSpace replaces in-Person interactions. But it is convenient, and helpful.

Bless is a great therapist and booking an appointment with her is very easy. I hear the app has issues with resubmitting EPS once the 10 given runs out. I'll see for myself if I have that issue later. But so far so good!

Available when I am
I was able to find a therapist who is available when I am—including Sunday afternoons. I’ve been meeting with her my therapist for almost 10 months. I feel like she’s very supportive and was willing to go through a workbook with me to help me in a topic she hadn’t studied.

Therapy made simple!
I was lucky to connect really well with my therapist, Victoria, right at the start. I have been able to cover more ground with her thanks to the messaging session that keeps us connected between our talk sessions. Scheduling is always easy. I've had a few hiccups with audio, having lost connection if someone tries to call me during a session. But I think the tech issues are solvable with the correct phone settings. I've really enjoyed the format overall and my therapist is excellent.

I was devastated when my previous…
I was devastated when my previous therapist, after three years, died from an auto accident. I dreaded trying to find a new therapist, especially since I'd have to re-tell my 'story' and dredge it all up again. I found Talkspace online and was matched with one of the best therapists I've had in my 30+ years of therapy. I think she's around 20 years younger than me, so that was a small concern. To my surprise she blows me away. Her professional experience, always "engaged and present" demeanor, and empathy are a balm for my soul. I would recommend Talkspace to anyone looking for quality virtual therapy. (By the way, in case you're interested, my therapist's name is Cindy Stuhmer.)

My new therapist is just what I needed and makes me feel knowledgeable and that my opinion matters. She makes it feel like I'm talking to an old friend who can see things objectively and advise using her vast array of education and experience.

Having a nice experience with the service
Was paired with a great therapist right out of the gate. She listens, she suggests. We’re still getting to know each other but I’m having a nice experience
