Highly recommended
I'm in Switzerland and Silverbacks strings for my GoldTone Micro Bass have been for several months until today still unavailable here or anywhere close by. I searched via Google and "Strings by mail" was the ONLY result that came up where I could buy them. I am very pleased with the ordering procedure / reliable service. I received the strings quite quickly within about a week and I appreciate the nice thank-you note handwritten on the attached receipt. I highly recommend this company. I will definitely order there again in the future.

I recently broke my thumb nail right…
I recently broke my thumb nail right before a huge gig.It was a disaster! Thank God I found Strings by Mail, it was amazing. I even called Matt to ask if they could expedite my order and he was very helpful. I tested my new nail, ran it through the paces and it's strong as nails lol, pun intended!

Great strings and service
These guys are great. A good selection of strings and they ship quickly. I also had a quality problem with some strings and SBM was quick and communicative and gave me a credit right away. They are my new go-to string source.

Subject line on my email 6/27 said "your order has shipped". The body of the same email said "staged for departure from Strings by mail". Today is 7/5 and they are supposed to arrive today. Too slow for standard shipping an envelope of 4 strings,.

I own a Godin guitar and needed to replace a broken string
I own a Godin guitar and needed to replace several strings. I could not find any Godin strings (they are a specific type) locally, and turned to Strings By Mail. I placed an order for five sets, with the understanding they were out of stock, but would be sent ASAP. Due to the pandemic, it took a while. During that time, I got constant updates and reminders that, "yes, we have your order, we have not forgotten you, and we are waiting and will fill the order as soon as we can", which was very nice. I later received an email that the strings had been sent, via which carrier, and estimated delivery date. The string sets arrived nicely boxed and with an invoice that included a hand-written "thank you". My orders are not going to make or break the business, but the pricing, service, and communication were so good that I will always purchase from Strings By Mail here on out. I highly recommend this business.
