I joined stitch 3 yrs ago & to be honest I didn't get involved until last year due to other things going on in my life, however since then I have not only been to but organised events myself & met some really nice people who now have become friends.
Stitch is a good way to exercise as I do enjoy the walking activities and I have met some wonderful people. I feel safe and everyone is friendly
Very disappointed with the Stitch experience. I think the idea is wonderful. However, the execution, outreach, community involvement and opportunity to meet local singles is extremely limited. There were very few opportunities to meet local people in Pinellas County Florida. If an event was scheduled it either was canceled or had one or two people at most show up. If you did reach out to individual members they never got back to you. If you did exchange phone numbers, nobody ever followed up with you. It was a waste of time and energy!
I love Stitch and recommend it to anyone who wishes to extend their social life, get out more and/or make new friends. Stitch creates the environment and opportunity to meet like minded people, pursue the activities you love with company.It has been a game changer for me in carving a new and better life for myself after separation.
A fantastic way to meet other likeminded people. Most events are very affordable and get you out and about. It is a safe way to meet people and make genuine friends.

I have found with stitch you can just go at your own pace and pick what events you like to attend, not all the events and people will be to your liking.
Volunteer member walk leader suggested a morning walk up Coolemon Ridge, Canbera ACT. 2 hours later with great conversation alongside three others , we four had covered approx 5-6km. Rewarded with Hill top 360 degree views. Some small hills tested our varied fitness strengths but we came through in great comraderie and healthier for it. Our walk leader was patient with seeing we found the start off point and knew the area well. Collaborative input made over which pathway option we took and interesting conversation shared along the track. Cafe option to celebrate after.
I wonder Stitch is like a board that helps people come closer together.
Has been great meeting like minded people and mostly single like me. The events being arranged by members is a great concept.

The Stitch experience is great for me because it is a fantastic vehicle to improve your social life.I've been a member since October 2024 and in that time have over 1000 contacts, attended over 100 activities of which I organised about 30 myself. Many of the contacts are now regarded as friends and a few even close personal friends. I highly recommend Stitch

The discussion threads on Stitch are full of NPC liberals. If you have a different opinion, they will be hostile and rude. It felt like playground-level bullying. Ostensibly, this is a platform for friendship and discussion, but how on earth are you supposed to discuss current affairs without expressing an opinion that touches on politics? Stitch say that they don’t allow political discussion, however, I witnessed plenty of, unchecked, heavy liberal bias in their threads. Apparently, politics are OK if you have the ‘right’ sort of politics. The online experience was enough to put me right off trying the face-to-face events. If you’re a narrow-minded person who believes everything the mainstream media tells you, you might find your ‘tribe’ on there.
