This site is a rip off, don't get messages or likes sent to your email. Can't report profiles easy, when you try, oh we can't find you in our system. All the women that I did talk to, ended up wanting gifts or money from $100 to $50,000.,even had one who wanted me to help with her business and sign papers. So stay away from this site. I got "liked" by an ASTRONAUT
Far, far too passive. You can't see who's viewed your profile. You can't see when was the last time someone was actually on the site. It's impossible to initiate any kind of communication or conversation. All you can do is wait and hope that the algorithms are such that your profile ends up in someone's feed and they "like" you. And it is COMPLETELY OVERRUN with scammers. I just got a "like" from a guy who actually had the audacity to claim to be an effing ASTRONAUT. I reversed the image and sent the real astronaut's wikipedia page to whatever idiot I was talking to. There are no real men on this site. They're all romance scammers. They claim to not be on the app much and want you to send them your number or chat with you on WhatsApp. Five different men in 30-ish days who all claimed to be widowed. What are the mathematical odds of that? All the language they communicate with is the same, straight out of the Romance Scammers Playbook. Buyer beware.

There's no real search. You give your location at sign up, and you can only see potential partners within an adjustable 0 to 1000 miles away. Instead of a search, they display profile after profile. Dismiss means forever blocked. Like means a chance to communicate if she likes you. The free version gets 25 per day. It seems like there's a thousand possibilities, so if you get 25, and she gets 25, the odds aren't great to find matches.I signed up in mid-December, and as of mid-February, only 5 matches, 2 of which were scammers. I paid $50 for a month, and found I had only 1 additional who liked me that I never saw before.Of the three, they were quality matches, but one was a widow who freaked out. SilverSingles actually scrubbed the two scammers before I got very far. Still, 3 contacts in two months is not worth $50 per month.

This site is a total scam. They charged me. Then after several months with only matches in the US, I cancelled my subscription. Now several years later they have tried every day to charge my bank account with three hundred plus dollars & now my Visa is on hold until I figure out how to cancel that subscription, that I haven’t even used for several years. Almost everyone who contacted me was a fake account, easily seen by reverse image search. This includes the so-called "curated suggestions." There may be real people on this, but you'll go crazy trying to find them.Try Stitch instead.

Silver Singles isn't worth it. The biggest problem is that they ignore the distance preference. I delete scores of profiles from intolerable distances. Complaining does nothing. They never answered, "If you ignore my distance, why do you ask me for it?" Match. com and OurTime are better.

MOST OF the parts of the site don’t work. Also the people who have been “curated” for me don’t match my preferences. There was one person with whom I was chatting and the entire chat disappeared. I want to start off by saying that this is the first time I have taken the time to write any review online. Most of the comments you will read are true. Fake or dead profiles on SilverSingles. The amount of "hearts" that I've sent with very little responses is disheartening. The main reason for my comments is that my account has now been blocked. To remove the block they want a copy of my drivers license or passport. When I asked why I was blocked they could not give an explanation. I told them that I have not changed anything in my profile (pictures or words). I haven't sent any messages to anyone because of the inactivity of people responding back to my hearts. I told them after I downloaded their app on my Samsung S25 that my account was blocked after a couple of hours. No ability to long in through Google on my phone or laptop like I did before the downloading of the app. I asked the company to delete my account immediately and to stop any recurring charges since I am unable to delete my account on my own. Time will tell if I have to write another comment in the future regarding billing or having a friend see my profile when my account is suppose to be deleted.

About 5 years ago I joined SS and had some success meeting people. I always sent and received “likes”.I re-joined about a year ago and it has been terrible! With their new format, it is impossible to navigate the entire site. You’re stuck on your Discovery page and thats it.You used to be able to send a message to someone that interested you, now you can only send them a Heart.In 5 months, I haven’t received ONE “like” to me. I have sent over twenty Hearts and not one responded. That is very hard to believe. In the past, I had over 50 “likes” and now not even ONE?This site is a total scam. Stay away!

Stay away from this piece of junk dating site, especially since they changed the format. It was already bad before, but now it has gone from bad to worse! It is almost non-functional. It has so few features, and I don't even think it works. I go months without even one 'like' which is not possibe compared to every other site I've used which is many. It is truly worthless.

Inaacurate and false information
This is the most inaccurate and false dating site you could imagine. People's information is totally inaccurate and contains glaring errors. It recently went offline for upgrades and lost a lot of users information. I have tried to use it for over 6 months and most of the profiles are false and full of inaacurate details. I joined a week ago, which granted is not long to be on the site. I was under the impression that I would receive new recommendations daily. Every single day they send me the same 5-6 people. Maybe there is not a good dating pool in my area. Plus I would say half of the recommendations are scammers.
